The Lab Organics

I’ve gone to The Lab a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. Today I went in and was served by a very nice woman. When it came time to pay another sales assistant served me. After paying nearly $200 with $6 for gift wrapping, i kindly asked for 2 gift bags for the recipients of my gift. The lady’s tone immediately changed. She sighed and scoffed and reluctantly said “umm ugh it’s fine i guess” as she proceed to pull out the smallest gift bags that would not have been big enough my gifts. She made me feel immediately guilty and I apologised and said don’t worry about it if it’s too much trouble. She agreed and said it was too much gift wrapping and sent me on my after way I paid nearly $200…really awful customer service…

Such a beautiful store with a great curation of beauty brands. My go-to for buying gifts as well as for finding products that’s aren’t stocked everywhere else. The staff were really friendly when I went in to collect my online order. Highly recommend!

Amazing customer service. We forgot to ask for the lady's name this morning. We only bought a small tube of body balm yet we received outstanding support w gift wrapping.

I love visiting this store. You can tell that lots of care and research has gone into the products they've selected. Staff have always been friendly and attentive with me. Skincare is a tricky domain because it takes time and experimentation to work out what best suits you. The women who've served me have always listened to my skin concerns and goals and if I've picked up a product that perhaps isn't quite right for me they've gently steered me in another direction. Beautiful business with integrity and great values.

I was greeted by a friendly staff member. When I needed some assistance, that staff member was helping another customer so I spoke to their colleague. She was so rude. Her attitude took me aback. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here.

Firstly, love Hunter Lab products. We use several products including shampoo, moisturiser and body wash. Also liked that we are supporting an Aust based company. But, unfortunately my latest experience wasn't good. I purchased the shaving foam, for which the assistant was happy to recommend for sensitive skin. In reality, it not suitable for sensitive skin. The foam creates very minimal lather so it feels like your scrapping the blade over your face. Given that you have to keep applying, and applying. Very disappointed as I was a little excited when I brought it. Don't recommend.

I went into this store two days in a row, to purchase presents for my family. Lovely store, with beautiful items. The younger woman who assisted me the first time was great, the older women (i presume the owner) was quite rude. When purchasing the item she asked if i wanted to donate $1 to charity. When i realised i only had $35 in cash i said i am sorry and i only have $35 - she looked at me in disgust as she had already wrapped the present and said "its for the wrapping! " - i apologised and went home and got her the $1 and returned it to the store to her 10 minutes later as she made me feel embarrassed for misunderstanding the wrapping was for charity. Overall a really yuck feeling leaving this store. I wish i could have returned the item, but unfortunately they only do store credits and i don't want to ever return there. Such a shame, as i want to support local. I presume all the reviews stating the staff are lovely, are speaking about the young women working the store. Luckily the younger staff were very lovely, great customer service and clearly not mirroring her behaviour which was nice and refreshing. I hope the older women / owner can treat people kinder in the future for honest mistakes without shaming them in a store of people.

I understand that there needs to be a balance between security and allowing your customers to have a rewarding experience in your store. My partner and I went in to buy a gift for a friend’s birthday. We were followed around and stared at by staff. It was a demeaning and horrible experience. The older staff assistant with brown hair was very rude and judgemental. From reading the other reviews this must be the owner. Very poor shopping experience all round.

Beauitful place, friendly staff, and the best gift wrapping, so glad i dropped by this afternoon, finished off my Christmas list in one go! Thank you, will be back for sure.

Lovely shop, been shopping with them for years. Will be glad to shop instore again. Click and Collect has been a blessing during Melbourne's lockdowns - thanks ladies for always being available for skincare advice. Great job in keeping it all together and running during a very difficult time for businesses

I would not recommend purchasing products online from this store. Bad customer service and items are not really in stock. Everything thing seems to be on backorder. Very disappointed with the Lab Organics shopping experience. I will not be placing anymore orders.

I personally find that every time I’ve entered the lab organics store the staff have been very rude and judgemental. I walked into the store feeling quite good and then left the store feeling very upset and angry. I definitely don’t want to go through that again.

Beautiful products but the worst shopping experience I have ever had. I will not be going back.

The products are lovely and very beautiful to acquire, I purchased a skin brush that did wandera for my skin. Check the perfume range so beautiful.

Went to purchase a gift for my mother for mother's day and can out empty handed. Poor customer service all round.
