The Island Accommodation

I live and love san remo every thing I need are here with in 10 minutes of each other shopping IGA l been going there for over 15 years and my doctor and the chemist are all nice to me not to many people are and the post office every thing pay my bills and my fish and chip shop FJ's l love san remo don't forget the opp shop there's so many little businesses here l just need a ANZ bank

Everything was of top standard, nothing too much trouble, room, kitchen, bathroom was clean and well maintained Lisa on reception was so friendly.

The Island Accommodation is a very well priced budget option for staying in Phillip Island. The rooms are just okay though with a small TV, average pillows and poor bathroom ventilation. The heating is excellent though. The communal kotchen was well stocked with everything you could want for cooking. The TV room was also excellent. The 10: 30pm closure time for communal spaces was an inconvenience for adults but I can see why they have it as many families use the accommodation. Overall, a good recommend on a budget!

Really disrespectful staff, Bedbugs, Expired food, False accusations towards people the only thing good was the location!

This place is worse than a jail cell, you think your getting a private room with your family only to be put in a room with literally 2 bunk beds in it and nothing else for an overhyped price, false advertisements when booking and extremely rude and immature staff when questioned about the booking. Other families put in rooms with ppl they don't know. The toilets and showers looked like a high school locker room. We Checked straight back out and not even an offer of reimbursement or an appologgy. Do not recommend at all.

We came back to the room after watching the penguin parade and none of our 3 room cards were working. At that time no one was at the reception and it took us 20 minutes to find the night manager. She was very lovely but there was no apology and instead she made it seem like it was our fault that they weren’t working even though we stored them in three separate places.
At the time we were there there was a huge group of people with many very loud kids and teenagers, playing really loud music and being disrespectful to other guests.
Beds were alright and bathrooms pretty clean.
Wouldn’t recommend staying for more than one night.

Took a school group here recently. Great experience. Great location, Clean comfortable rooms, good food and staff were friendly and helpful and booked some great activities for us including Archy's surf, Clip n Climb, Penguin Parade and Ten Pin bowling and laser tag, which was great to support the local business community as well. Hope to go back here soon. Tx guys

Payment issues, was advertised as the only two-bedroom but was for four beds, charged $160 for one person; absolute rip-off. Crazy. No towels at all. It was so dumb. Never go here.

DO NOT VOLUNTEER HERE FOR YOUR 88 DAYS! The manager gave false information when advertising the position available stating it counts towards a second year visa. This is infact incorrect and they were going to actually give false information for this to be accepted. What you work for your free accommodation is not worth it, 3 hours an evening counts towards your hours yet you are expected to be present in the hostel and through the night, over the course of over 12 hours. The manager was extremely immature when I expressed concerns for my own well-being and the lack of support and communication is disgraceful. If you need accommodation I would recommend just paying for it and not wasting your time with volunteering here.

Great location. No fuss atmosphere. Good size family rooms. Clean areas allover. Could use soundproofing. And working elevators. Otherwise great value for money.

Fantastic experience! The rooms were really nice and the facilities were well maintained and super clean. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Can't rave enough! Definitely a return traveler!

Great experience, clean beds and shower. I think it's perfect for backpackers and the location is easily accessible from a lot of the main attractions. Friendly staff as well. Definitely recommended!

I must say I was very impressed with the accommodation in general. I live in Sydney and did a road trip to Melbourne and Phillip Island. When booking I saw a few bad reviews and was a little apprehensive, and after a very frustrating stay in Melbourne, I was very concerned about the following days in Phillip Island. In the end, Phillip Island was the best part of the trip and the accommodation factored in this. I got the private ensuite with my husband, the room was very comfortable and clean, they had a huge fully equipped shared kitchen and a big cinema room. Though I didn't use it because I got the private ensuite I saw they had shared toilets/showers. And they have a laundry room on the ground floor. The only thing I would give an upgrade to was the pillows that were very thin, but not a big problem. It is very well located, close to the bridge, walking distance to a small centre with restaurants and supermarket and easy car access to the rest of the island. 10/10!

It is very good for buget, very good and freindly staffs, very good for big and small size family. I took big families 5 with lots of children and we had very nice time there.

This was the best experienced hotel, all the facilities and rooms were better than we expected.

This place is awesome. More like a hotel than a back packers. There is a massive kitchen and dining area. But if you don't wsnt to cook there is a great cafe down stairs with the best staff. The position is perfect. Walk over the bridge to the pub in san remo or 10 minutes up the road by car to the race track.

Clean. Huge kitchen and communal space. Some strange noises at night. Maybe some work being done or the water pipes.

Great place to stay for the weekend. Very clean and comfortable. Just wish the kitchen and t.v room are locked at 10: 45pm are we kids or adults? Seriously that didn't impress me at all.

I don't understand how this place has 4 stars. We paid over $200 for a 1 night stay in a prison cell. There were only bunk beds in the room with no TV or even a mini fridge. I could let it go if the beds were actually comfortable but they were terrible. You can feel all the springs in your back. Also very noisy.the walls are paper thin. I could hear people yelling all night, some kind of drumming/banging, water pipes etc. Didn't get a wink of sleep. We didn't even get towels so we could go for a shower. Avoid at all costs.

Wow, for the price it was fine. It was very clean. Very family friendly. It's great for those short stays and for those only using the place to sleep. T. V.was small but that was fine as we were always going out. Lovely staff at the front desk and friendly.
