Casual dining feast with very generous portions, with various stores across Australia! Heaps of selection on the menu, like your pizzas and your pastas, burgers and more!

The food at Groove Train tasted good and very satisfying but there are long wait times. It was really busy but had taken over an hour to take our order and for the food to come to the table. Not good if you’re hungry but also good if you’re hungry because the serving sizes were quite good

We tried the-
Tasting Favourites ($29.90) Selection of eggplant chips, salt & pepper calamari, bruschetta, arancini, grilled chorizo with dipping sauces
Prawn & Calamari Risotto ($32.90) Tiger prawns, calamari quills, semi-dried tomatoes, baby spinach, arborio rice & a smoked salmon rosetté
Pumpkin & Spinach Gnocchi ($29.90) Spinach, roasted pumpkin, sage, cream & shaved parmesan

Overall food wise it’s not bad at all! It’s been 10 years since I last visited Groove Train but glad it still tastes good. We really liked all the dishes we ordered and thought they were filling and flavourful

I can definitely understand why these restaurants are disappearing. Once a favourite, they are now a huge waste of money. EXTREMELY overpriced, bland, boring, terribly cooked food. The staff are always lovely and for that I will give stars but it’s disappointing when you spend a fortune on a meal that taste like hospital food.

Been here heaps of times over the last 5 years and never really had a bad meal huge menu variety something for everyone, bit pricey but it is what it is hey cozzie livs n all that

This morning I received the worst customer service I have encountered at a restaurant in a very long time. Having ordered 2 side dishes and toast I was charge $21.90 - This being a regular breakfast for me at other restaurants I queried this price as it seemed very high. In short I was told that although the sides could be added to a meal they could not be bought separately so I was charged for a meal with eggs and then the cost of the sides was added! I was told, by an incredibly rude young lady, that this 'had' to be done in this way as their till could not calculate just 2 sides and toast! At no point when I ordered was I told I would need to pay more for my meal as they couldn't put what I wanted through on the till. I mentioned that they simply couldn't charge customers more because they didn't have a setting on their till to which the reply was (very rudely) 'Yes we can, we do it all the time. ' she then went on to tell me how they charge a regular customer more, in the same way, every day! I was not prepared to pay more than the menu prices for my meal so I asked to speak to the manager, the reply was ' well you can but she is going to tell you the exact same thing! ' This young lady could simply not comprehend why I was questioning being charged more than the prices listed on the actual menu and the way she was handling a very simple customer concern was utterly appalling. The manager came and was very polite. She sorted out the problem within minutes and refunded me the amount that I was overcharged. Following this very unpleasant encounter I would never bring my family back to eat at Groove Train again and I would advised anyone else, to check their bill!

I rarely order steak because its too often cooked the way the chef thinks it should be rather than the way i ask for it. I had the rib eye and it was perfect. 10/10.

The menu here is massive which from watching enough Kitchen Nightmares, I know is a problem as it leads the kitchen to rely more on frozen or pre-made ingredients.

My calimari salad came out and was just a bowl of cabbage salad with squid on top, so I sent it back and ordered the lamb salad. Then didn't bring out cutlery.

The lamb salad was more edible however the oils they use, you can tell the salad dressing was very poor quality, and not the EVOO I cook with and make salads with.

The same with the "tzatziki" sauce that had too much shine and was obviously more seed oil and not real yoghurt.

I understand a kitchen has to be run economically however not even being able to buy or make an authentic yoghurt based tzatziki sauce shows they just hire low quality staff who don't care. It was in a tiny bowl, it might have cost $1 of the $32 menu item to provide a real sauce.

Also the waitress tried to grab my beer bottle without asking, and I said "I'm still going with that" as I had a bit at the bottom. Then a few minutes later, she does the same thing! At least ask me "are you done with that? "

I had a few decent breakfasts at Groove Train Frankston but I won't be coming back. Oils matter.

My Parma was a bit dry.
And spaghetti meat didn't taste the best quite bland spaghetti sauce was good

Bit overpriced as well

1- It took 40 minutes to bring the order.
2- salad was 1 star and too difficult to eat.
3- pizza was 2 star below the average

Food is good. The mixed grill plate is overpriced and overcooked, I would suggest to order a lamb shank, beef cheek or pork ribs to be more satisfying and put the money towards a drink and dessert.

Every time we come here the food, drinks and service are second to none. I usually take photos before my meal but when I visit here i can’t wait to start! Vin and the team always make you feel welcome and serve delicious meals. I love that the kids meals are made from fresh quality ingredients and not heavily processed.

I usually don't spend time on these review's but today I went to the Groove Train and my order was late because apparently it had been "forgotten". After the meal had arrived it tasted revolting and very rushed. Don't think I'll be eating here again.

Very disappointing. Went for our sons 11th bday. Not one guest enjoyed their food.
I ordered Mushroom and goats cheese Risotto. Barely could spot a Mushroom and I'm sure they left out the goats cheese. Very bland food.
The pizza machine wasn't working.
The children food was dreadful.
We won't go back.

Very overpriced for the food you recieve.

Went for lunch, I ordered the special pork ribs and espresso shake, my wife ordered the chicken parmigiana. Both were very good, the pork fell off the bone. Could have done without the music, but that is only a very minor gripe.

We waited over an hour for our food. Other people who came in after us got their food before we did. Absolutely hopeless. There was also a fly flying around in the salt shaker. When we told staff there was no apology at all from any staff members. Never coming here again. AVOID

So insanely understaffed. Took 10 mins to be seated, food took 40 mins to arrive (we had 2 pizzas that’s all) and we missed our movie as a result. The food came out cold too. No apologies from staff.

Unfortunately found a literal nail in my pizza. Raised it with the manager who disappeared into the kitchen with it. Upon returning informed me there was no way it had come from the kitchen. So where had it come from? They took my half eaten pizza off the bill. I reached out to Groove Train via email, who claim to respond in 48 hours, and heard nothing. Will not be returning.

Went there and ordered spagetti when it came, they stated that they "forgot to cook the spagetti" and so they gave me a kids meal and it was so bad.

My parents collected a Spaghetti Carbonara without bacon and onion and put into 2 seperate containers for me at 4: 30 then they bought it to me. The staff were kind to them and the service was wonderful.
