The Groove Train reviews
76Don't get me wrong, the food is nice but seriously they are pricing it absurdly. $30 for chips and schnitzel when schnitz across the food court is less than half the price and much nicer and fresher?
Just got order delivered through menulog; Arrived 20 minutes after expected. Some portions were still quite warm, most of it was cold. This shop needs a month or so to work out how to deal with the home deliveries. - Family order missing a persons dish. When called was offered to be compt with a Voucher. Humans don't eat vouchers, they eat food. $120 on home delivery order; KFC Family bucket and extars would've been better value at half the price.
Great little place to go before or after a movie in the cinema just a couple of steps away. Friendly customer service and some really good coffee and cake for $9.50.well air-conditioned and comfortable seating arrangements with bar service is also provided.
Went to Greensborough groove train tonight. Horrible meal, all staff were rude, in-experienced and lazy. Especially the old man who is apparently a manager who wouldn’t even let us pay cash. Do not go here!
$11.90 for soup of the day. Tastes like wet dog. Do yourself a favor and reheat a tin of Campbell's. Waitresses never offer you water here either.
Not disappoint.
Great friendly service as always.
Great tasting food, a definite recommend to visit the Greensborough venue
The food was nice, but the service was horrible. The staff acted like we were an inconvenience by being there.
I ordered Fishermen Baskets. Did not have an option for “the Fish”. It was one of the worst fish I have ever had. I am not picky usually but this one was inedible.
Good presentation, good atmosphere nice staff.
Calamari was beautiful and so was chips and Prawns.
Fish was not my favourite!
I wish they t
Had an option for Flakes!
The food is a bit hit or miss, in saying that, my boyfriends gnocchi was very nice on our last visit:) however, i’ve been here on a few occasions and have been dumbfounded that the same unfriendly, unobliging staff are just as unhelpful as they were the previous time.we were barely greeted and weren’t at any stage given any water, the waitress and waiter were not polite or friendly, and made themselves as scarce as possible so not to have to interact with customers any more than they had to.however, the petite, older waitress was quite lovely and actually paid some attention to us even though she appeared to be doing the bulk of the work
Great service by the girls. Food was absolutely delicious. Compliments to the chef or chefs. Keep up the good work because it is hard to find a place with good service in all areas like this. Will be definitely going back.
Had the mixed grill, can't remember when I've enjoyed a meal as much as this, absolutely delicious.
Food is good, the service however is questionable. I asked 3 times for water. I got lucky after I complained to another waiter.
I ordered the most expensive meal on the menu hoping for quality results and was very disappointed. The fish had absolutely no taste and the lemon was so tiny. When trying my best to signal the waitress and eventually had to walk up to them to ask for more tiny lemons. Everything on this plate had no taste.
$40 for frozen fish deep fried and thrown into a bowl.
It's ok and that's it. The food is pretty bland but better than I was expecting. Service wasn't overly friendly but food came out fast. It's a chain restaurant, often in the middle of a shopping centre so like, it is what it is. They do have vegan options though which is refreshing to see!
Promptly greeted and seated with friendly and helpful service.
Decor is modern, clean and comfortable.
We will definitely be returning.
The fisherman's basket was delicious and well cooked. Crisp batter and the texture of the fish and calamari was perfect. Chips were crisp; prawns and scallops very tasty. Coffee was great.
Parking is available in the shopping centre car park. If you are in the open air car park, you'll have to climb a set of stairs to get to the restaurant.
Very disappointed today with the smashed avocado with poached eggs. This is our favorite thing to eat here but today’s was a complete disappointment with several ingredients missing. The sourdough bread thin as a slice of commercial white bread, no pepitas or sunflower seeds for the crunch factor. Avocado over smashed to the point of being whipped. Let’s hope this dish gets back on track, or teach the chef on how it should be made.
Bought a take away coffee feeling 100%, 30 mins after drinking it I felt really sick. Have a feeling the milk was off.
Food was ok, but service from our middle aged female waitress was beyond disgraceful.
Rude and apathetic.
Give this place a miss. Wait for ages for grumpy staff to serve terrible food, then pay premium prices.
I have been here before and it was "OK" but isn't even that anymore.
There are plenty of other places to eat in the plaza, all of them must be better than this one.
Food was ok, just dont expect to see a waiter once you have your food. 15 mins to try to catch a waiters eye, but had to walk over and ask myself. When i asled for a coffee the attitude of the young guy serving was appaling. No sure i will ever go back.
