The Groove Train

For a shopping centre eatery, we were completely blown away. Food was quick, hot and delicious. We were sharing plates, and 2 entrees and 1 main was plenty. The pizza was perfect. Nachos and mixed platter were good.

We walked in with no booking, but I could see this place could get busy. I would plan ahead and reserve a table if possible.

There's no glossing over their prices. This is not a cheap $12 value meal place. $27 for a pizza (worth it), $30 for a large tasting platter (not worth it).

But! We will certainly go again for the food taste alone. And they have beer on tap!

I have never been to a place an felt as a mother so discriminated against the manager told us there was no space even after I said that’s fine i will park my pram outside he still said no and there was so many tables inside
it was genuinely the rudest encounter and I hope no one else gets made to feel this way again by that person

Ordered two cheese toasties, two chais and one chips.

Did not receive one toastie. Over priced. Waited 10+ minutes. Stale bread and worst cheese toastie. Chips soggy and no flavour. Overall if you want over priced - cardboard tasting food this is the place!

We ordered pizza and a chicken burger. The burger was disgraceful. The bun was stale, couldng eat the chicken it was so tough. The pizza had a lovely thin base, the centre was dough still, it wasnt cut properly, it had no cheese on it snd was tasteless. Definetly not going back.

Ałways good food and service, was busy but wait for food was short and staff were excellent in efficiency and service

Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes of not being acknowledged until we called someone over. We didn't get any water and were completely forgotten about. We finally got our food and it was nice but definitely not worth the 30 minute wait especially when people getting there 15 minutes after us were getting served and getting there food. Won't be coming back.

Ordered gluten free, clearly wasn’t as I now I’m paying for it. Ordered a coke and didn’t come for over 20 minutes until I had to ask again. Wouldn’t recommend this groove train, especially when there’s more around!

We arrived and waited 5 minutes to be seated and once seated we waited another 15 minutes to have our orders taken.other people came in half an hour after us and got their food and drinks before we did.we tried to get the attention of the waitress twice, and she ignored us.after 1 hour we got 2 out of our 7 drinks and after 1 hour and a half we started to slowly get our food and other drinks.one of my own drinks was then taken to another table and had to be remade and another drink we forgotten about.our food and drinks were mediocre, not worth the price we paid.we got nachos and asked for it without Jalapenos and they were still in there.will not be returning, really unprofessional!

I have always liked The Groove Train but this one for some reason wasn't nice. The food wasn't good, I bought the pizza but it had a thin base too thin that light could pass through it. The crust was a good size but it was super doughy. The pizza was very soggy as well. The best part of the meal was the sprite.

Disgusting work etiquette towards employees, good on you CJ for leaving and I hope this business goes under.

I left today after checking in then being asked by a waitress proof of covid vaccination whilst she was not wearing a face mask and sat and watched the barrister remove her mask multiple times then handle the coffee tap and machine. Don’t ask your customers for covid compliance if your staff are not doing the right thing!

Grate service, friendly staff. Good food prices some items a touch high but it is quality food lots of seating. Fantastic.

Really if i could I would give this place 0.5 stars. The only good thing I got out of it was the sprite I ordered the rest of the food which was the margarita and cappriciosa or how they've written is cappricio was awful. I get there it was fairly busy but most people were eating but I didn't expect to wait an hour for my food. But when it came both of the crusts on the pizzas were very doughy and the base of the pizza was extremely thin almost transparent. The pizzas were super oily and the sauce was more like a tomato juice. I definitely don't recommend it.

Not happy with the service at all. We were seated and a couple next to us walked out and I’m not surprised. Two tables were seated while we were waiting for our order to be taken. Those two tables then had their orders taken and we were ignored. By the time we were ready to walk out, someone noticed us (we weren’t hidden away by any means), we told her the issue and she offered to seat us somewhere else (?). We happily told here that wasn’t the issue and it was the service.

The initial pizza I ordered was not cooked properly but they did replace the meal so I was generally happy but probably won't go back soon

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The order was misunderstood but rectified without any issues and apologies given promptly. I would be a return customer. Thanks to Chloe, Lisa and Robert.

The waitress and young waiter were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as was the coffee and milk shake

Cool place trendy great staff good food and friendly atmosphere the food here is super tasty and will leave your mouth salivating and wanting more set in the heart of greensbrough this trendy restaurant Cafe has you sorted so come on down and see for yourself

Good prompt service. Meals have always been good. Serves are quite large, so really, good money's worth

Always great service here and never have to wait too long for your meal. I am a coeliac and have never had an issue with eating the risotto which is gluten free.
