The Grand Tofu reviews
71Possibly one of the most authentic Malaysian restaurant in the Eastern suburbs. Their yong toufu is legendary. Their fish head noodles is to die for
The fried rice.salty fish chicken is way too rushed and thrown together. It's been that way for almost most of this and last year, not gonna try anymore. Laksa is good but it's okay now. Used to be bit better.
I kid you not, a mate and I went there three days in a row just for the Chicken Ribs. THEY ARE TO DIE FOR! Please order them! The spring rolls and the Tea Tarik pairs very well with them! I’ll be coming back for a lifetime for those ribs?
An absolute classic tbh - low price, quick service and big servings! 100% recommend trying their singapore fried noodles and asking for it to be a bit spicy.can't forget about their pick-your-own yong tofu too!
Good value place to eat Chinese Asian food.
Quite generous with the dish sizes and the food is consistently good.
The place can get busy so don't be surprised if they shift tables or if you have to wait.
Grand tofu is a staple glen waverley close to 20 years now. Although they use to be at the train station before the apartments went up.
The Grand Tofu has variety of Asian style dishes with reasonable portion and price. The price range is between 12 to 16 AUD. The food portion is quite big and of course tasteful. The cook times is reasonably fast less than 10minutes. If comparing to Chinese Malaysian from Malaysia with Grand Tofu dishes is okay like 6/10. The premise is somewhat small.the place is always crowded during the weekends. If you have a big group like 6 and above, you might need to book. Parking is an issue too. If you hate waiting for parking, better to come before 6pm or else you be waiting for hours. The staff are quite efficient with their work and know the menu in-and-out.
Overall, Grand Tofu has delicious selection of Asian food at reasonable prices. Worth your money.
This place is amazing and right on Kingsway! The taste is very authentic, and the food comes out very quickly and the service is good. The young tofu here is really good, with three bases to choose from. From there, you can choose your noodle type, and then up to 6 pieces of add ons. It's really great for value! I highly recommend
This place hasn’t changed in years. They keep a good thing going here in glen Waverley. I can highly recommend this place for cold winter days or when those sporadic waves of wind and chill sweep through melbourne. The Yong tofu here is great! Pick one of three base soups then up to 6 pieces and the types of noodles you want from their bay Marie and they’ll cook it up for you.
We also tried the deep fried squid which went down well too.
Highly recommended!
I took my staff to The Grand Tofu after our crazy Saturday auction. "our mouths were experience with delicious spices and sensations. Services was quick, restaurant clean, food serves steamy HOT and priced very well. 5/5 YUMMY!) Keep up the great work.

Have been going to this place since it was still right next to the station almost twenty years ago. True malaysian chinese fare here and the yong tau foo is what u go for. But that said any of the noodle soups are great really, i do like their veggie soup as well. Fried singapore noodles are sizable and good too.
Good option if you're looking for a quick bite to eat. Great value and tasty. Can be a bit noisy inside with the open kitchen but there is seating outside.
Yong tofu is novel. Make your own dish. Noodle choice, soup choice and toppings. Theres more items than advertised. I love the thin egg noodles and prawn dumplings that aren't in the serving window. Other dishes are good too. Good serving size.
Nice food, beautifully cooked seafood noodles and very quick service. I am really impressed and will take my friends here next week
Got food poisoning from last experience.food musn't have been fresh! Very disappointed.
Generally food has been good previously.
Great food, Good portions and good value for money 4 adukrs and 3 kids cost us under $100.00 good service and food came out very quickly Deep Fried octopus must try.fresh and yummy. Nasi lemak and Nasi goorang is good as well. At the end we could not finishalland we took home some left overs.great place will surely go back again.
The "fastest in the southeast" - I literally just out down the menu and I had my order in no time at all. Very nice veggie noodles
The famous Asian saying applies here 'Cheap, cheap; good, good; plenty, plenty! They maintain their standard throughout the years I visit them. You never get bored esting there because of their varieties! For me - a must once or twice a week. Wish there are more of such food stall. Good going!
An old timer in the area and still reliable. Prices have increased over the years though. Service is pretty fast. Apart from the long queues during peak times. Your food arrives within minutes of ordering. Yong To Fu all the way! Other varieties of Malaysian food is pretty decent too.
It's pretty nice portion and it's tastes nice for its price. A few vegetarian options here and there so I'm happy to come back.
