Absolutely pathetic! I was there with a group of my friends and my family members and as we were waiting to be served, I sat on a table and closed my eyes for a couple of minutes, suddenly one of the staff (who turned out to be the shift manager) came and started yelling at me in front of all my friends and my family members that here’s not a place to sleep! You cant sleep here! I was so embarrassed in front of my friends and all other customers, not only did she not even offer a simple apology, but she had a sneer on her face saying that she had done nothing wrong. I wish she had received enough training about the customer's right and knew how to deal with customers respectfully

I was so embarrassed when I saw the disrespectful and unprofessional behavior of one of the staff members while we were waiting to be served. She is absolutely a toxic employee for this restaurant.
I feel so sorry for her and I am sure that she need to get enough training about the customer’s to know to deal with the customer.

Great atmosphere Sunday night had a great Duo acoustic playing and the fire outside was lit. Food here is very good, great menu and we mainly ate off the Specials board because that days specials were amazing.

Decent place for what it is. Liked the event hall. But haven't been to the restaurant.
Parking is a bit tight though, not ideal for the weekends.

I will never go there again, Very rude shift manager! They absolutely have no idea of what customer service is. Zero customer service. There were so many other people at the restaurant who had the same idea. They totally ruined my day. Stay away from this place, I would give zero star if I could

Enjoyed a nice lunch with a group of 8 however when I tried to book over the phone a message advised that they don’t take bookings for lunch ‘just walk ups’. Their website gives the same information.
When we arrived and waited to be seated a staff member advised he’d check the bookings. When asked re bookings walk up policy, he didn’t have an answer. We noted several tables that had a Reserved sign on them!
Due to the walk up policy, we almost didn’t go, preferring to be assured a table.thought we’d take a chance and it worked out.
Final disappointment was no espresso machine so no coffees at the end of the meal.
Regardless of this the meals were very enjoyable.

After a hard walk around the goldmine fields, what tastes better then an ice cold beer and some great wedges in the local pub?

Really nice hotel with great grub. The side salad was even tasty. Super busy on a warm weekend!

Really nice place to sit and chill, especially with the new renovations - it looks amazing.only downside is the prices for things can get a bit overly expensive

My favorite pub! I can’t stand pokie venues, this is the opposite, no pokies just a pool table. The renovations are out standing, especially the beer garden! Had lunch there today with the lovely wife. Fast service, friendly staff and great food! Best fish n chips for a long time, great selection of tap beers and ciders! And a nice walk along the Yarra River to top things off!

This pub is not vegetarian friendly at all. There was nothing vegetarian on their menu and when I wanted to order a little side salad next to chips (which was the only vegetarian option) they said they could not do that. Even though they make side salads on every meat/fish dish and could have easily helped me out and in my experience most other restaurants would have done so in this situation.

They have just renevated and it is wonderful. There is a lovely open feel, while maintaining that pub feel.

Plenty of big TV's to watch the footy and solid quick bar service. Was happy with the wine variety and enjoyed a bottle of Rob Dolan.

Just about to leave for our second visit, I know this pub has been around for years, however for our family it's a new discovery. The food offering I found was really good, however the staff I interacted with all genuinely seemed friendly and helpful. I commented to my wife "It's like we have arrived in a parallel universe! " Nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to this evening.

Great midweek lunch spot. Food was well above your normal pub fare. Staff were attentive and helpful. Mushroom risotto was especially good. Well done to the chefs.

No bistro anymore, this is not stated on the website. Mainly bar stools in the bar setting, certainly not what it used to be.

Been back twice now with my partner in the space of a week for the Caesar salad, I swear it's amazing.best one I have so far.

Beautiful Ambience and superb food. Only down fault. Waiting for the drinks took a fair bit of time.

First time back Since COVID booked restaurant only to be placed out doors on high tables with elderly people with us which was not let known.
Not restaurant any more just pub meals.
The meals were horrible one was unedible. Service was bad and staff were rude.
So turned into what was a favourite pub to never would go back again.

Haven't been to the pub for a couple of years but the menu has definitely changed to very simple pub grub. The food used to be great. If you are going to do simple food you have to do it well and unfortunately 2 of our 3 meals were less than average. Shepherd's pie was on the specials menu and was full of eggplant and quite bland with fatty overtones. The fish in the fish and chips was tastless, batter was terrible and overcooked. Sorry but you are charging a premium and we expected better.
