The Gasometer Hotel

Large bar area and even larger events area. The selling point being that the roof draws back "Just like Docklands (stadium) " says the manager. Gets rowdy.

Nice place to hang out and they support a lot of local musicians. Decent food, great ambience! Old building is also giving it a lot of character!

Great supporters of live music, overall great venue. Staff kinda seem like they don't want to be there but that's probs the Aesthetic

Great venue, loved the open roof, the staff were super nice, had some friends DJing there which made it one of the best nights out I've had in Melbourne! Can't wait to go back!

Man want to give this place 5 stars so bad but have run into too many security issues. Legit those guys makes revs security look like your regular weekend benders. Ill be coming back tho. Those $15 jugs are just too good

The Gasometer is well known and worth a visit if you have not been yet. Book if you want a table for dinner. Go hungry if you are into parms's. Those who attempted them said the chicken was tender and beautifully cooked. Husband and I chose to share the mates plates, tasty but not for the diet conscious. Music was a bit loud for those of us over fifty but good beer and wines available. Recommend.

The Gasso! Feels like the Northcote Social Club when it first opened. Here’s a tip, don’t end up like them:).

Grungy live music venue with fun staff and affordable beer and food. A music venue should have a sticky carpet. If you don’t like that then go to a recital hall or something.

Saw a band here last Saturday night.
Polish Club.
The band room is great if you are there early.
Get there early and get an upstairs on the rail and you'll be able to see.
You can't see a thing from upstairs even 1 person back.

The venue itself is great.

The open roof in the band room was great.

Easy and no fuss to get in and out and the crowd was a good mix of ages.

Never been there, but i am sure is good, local music gets played and small bands are part of their gig list. Like my son' band. Is Melbourne, the cradle of Aussie music

Great atmosphere. Fantastic band room. When I ordered a burger they had no buns left, but have me my money back so can't really complain. Staff are friendly.

The ol'Gaso is absolutely excellent, always running varied events that cater to a lot of people. Have had some sassy bartenders which makes for some funny banter. The food here is also killer and goes above the average pub meal, big ups to bills bistro and the vege burger.

This venue has a lot of personality. Not a large venue, but the upper level adds a lot and is a good vantage point from which to watch performances in a more relaxed way.

Cool bar, good spread of live music. The band room is a bit pokey but if you like intimacy with your live music then you'll have a great time.

Superb 4 quality young men 2many to take 4home o lessons or to spend time exchanging cutting edge knowledge. Seen a bit more hot guy density than here butt I think I could cum north side again

Staff at the Gaso are great, coupled with a great atmosphere for the band room made for an unforgettable first visit.
