The Dojo Ramen Bar reviews
73Best ramen in Northcote. I recommend the Shoyu Ramen and the Chili Miso one. They're awesome. And don't forget to try the pork gyozas. Super tasty!
First time trying this place, the vegan creamy ramen was very tasty but the broth was thicker than any ramen broth I've had, it was like stew!
My friend had the typical pork ramen and said the flavour was quite bland unfortunately.
The wait staff were lovely but unfortunately it took 1hr and 10 minutes since ordering for out soups to arrive. Was a busy night but would have liked a bit of a heads up before ordering.
Went for the ramen with a couple of friends, and we were all very happy. Along with ramen, we also had a few smaller dishes, which were priced really well and tasted incredible. It was brought up in conversations how good the food is for a couple of days afterwards, and we'll definitely be back.
Out of al the ramens I've had in Melbourne so far this is the best, most flavoursome and not super salty! Great atmosphere and cool vibe! Great sushi too!
Love decor and such a small cute place. The food is great and staff are very friendly and helpful. Drinks are also amazing
Absolutely delicious "Chilli Meso Ramen Bowl " 10/10 Best Ramen Bowl if had. Will definitely eat here again.
Such great affordable food with really fast service.it's a gorgeous little place in Northcote with a great Tuesday lunch special.karage chicken and the cheesecake is a favourite
Authentic ramen, welcoming space. Great Japanese beer on tap, thoughtful selection of ramen from vegetarian to regular shoyu to spicy ones. Service is attentive and quick, great for couple, family or just by yourself. We love Dojo Ramen!
Amazing Gyoza, Karrage “JFC” chicken and Ramen. After eating ramen in Japan multiple times, this comes amazingly close to the best I’ve ever had. Delicious! The staff were so polite and very friendly too - always a bonus
Thank you team!

Excellent find in the north.
Was just walking by high st when I decided to go in here and lemme tell you I was not disappointed!
The place has a very homely vibe with very cute interiors. The staff are super a nice and welcoming.
And the food, omg the food was delicious!
I’ll definitely be coming back even I live 30 minutes away from here

Ordered the chilli miso. Pork Cha Shu had no meat just fat. Ramen was a handful. Bamboo shoots and nori were measly portions
Dojo Ramen is such a vibe. It is clearly themed to be very Japanese with various displays of Japanese culture. There is even a little manga library for you to read.
The ramen itself is based on very traditional styles and delicious also. It also has a bar if you like a drink too!
So much potential and almost there.
To start off we had the panko squid and the karaage with oroshi ponzu. Great starters, the squid was probably one of the best bites of squid I've had. Super crispy and crunchy on the outside and almost fluffy squid on the inside. The oroshi ponzu was perfect with the karaage and great to see as all other places just have it with mayonnaise on the side. Both dishes came with a miso mayonnaise which was well balanced.
Ramen. I had the shio and my partner had the chilli miso. The shio lacked depth and the toppings were disappointing. The chashu was rubbery and need to at least be torched. I added leek which was put on raw (at lease lightly pan fry it). Shio ramen is a lot lighter and cleaner than other ramen styles but this was well under par. The chilli miso again lacked depth and not enough chilli to call it chilli miso.
Again so much potential but not quite there
If you enjoy authentic Japanese thick soup ramen but you’re a vegetarian, this is the place you should visit!
Love that creamy nutty soup!
I like the Entries/snacks taste more than the acut main dishes. Otherwise really nice place to dine in.
Great ramen and karage chicken. Cozy atmosphere with extra seating out the back. Great go to for the area.
A relatively good ramen place in Northern suburbs. Chilli miso and tantan were delicious. Shoyu was just ok. The vegan ramens were also good. JFC is a must to order.
Gyoza was good salmon donburrie was bland. Stool seating is uncomfortable and very maccas like and biggest offence is requesting a tip before placing your on line order when eating on site
Cozy and delicious Ramen Restaurant.
This place has the quickest service that I’ve ever seen! Order and pay through QR code and the staff is very kind and friendly, except when it’s 9pm on a Saturday, rushing for closing haha
Even though, it’s worth to go and have a try!
Gyoza super soft and delicious.
Start of the night: black sesame ice cream. Must try!
Food and ambience is great but the QR ordering system is painful, especially entering your credit card every time.
