The Cosmopolitan Hotel reviews
71First time at this establishment for lunch. Beautiful day so we were directed to the beer garden. Prompt and efficient service, large portions for the meals, and excellent friendly service from all staff. Definitely will be a return customer.
Historical country pub with a heart of gold! Great food and amazing wines to match and beers on tap!
Lovely service with a brilliant smile. Very friendly!
Lovely place with great service and atmosphere but unfortunately the food was extremely average and overcooked and completely lacking flavour. Very disappointing
Friendly staff and quick service, cosy country pub, food was a let down, over priced and over cooked Parma, not much topping and no taste, chips not the best that's for sure, tap beer seemed flat, not sure what's going on there.
Lovely atmosphere, excellent service.
Had the special, chicken rendang, great flavour, very disappointing though, full of cardamom pods and small chicken bones which made my meal very unpleasant to eat.
We had our wedding at the beautiful Cosmo. The food was amazing as were the staff, especially Fiona.
Lovely place for dinner.ove the steak. Good staff and friendly service. Good luck with the kitchen renovations
I know inflation is a thing but I just paid way too much for mediocre meals and table service. Probably won’t ever come back
Lovely setting in and out. Great atmosphere, decorated beautifully inside and lovely gardens to wander in outside. Only downside was the price of the meals. We ordered one pizza between the two of us $30, told big enough to share and would expect so for the price but only 8 small pieces so had to go elsewhere afterwards and buy more food.
Had a pretty disappointing lunch here on the weekend. Drinks were not what was ordered. Meals with chips were terrible, not sure what was wrong with the chips but have never had chips taste so bad. Clon the chicken Parma the cheese on top hadn't been grilled and the chicken was stringy. The beef burger was completely charcoal and asked for no bacon on it but it still came with it. The outside area was great and staff were nice. Should have eaten elsewhere in town
Wait staff lovely and food good. Bar manager very rude upon payment, ruined the evening.wont go back and get the impression the guy couldn’t care less. Horrible.
My recent visit for lunch was seriously underwhelming. The young staff were lovely but the food was not! I ordered a wagu burger. $31.and the pattie was thin and grossly overcooked. The cheese on it was what I call plastic cheese and the lettuce a scrappy end of iceberg. It was also not on a brioche bun, as stated on the menu. I was with my daughter, so I didn't want to make a fuss (stupid I know) and ate as much as I could. I'll not be returning.
Terrific food, with a few tasty vegan options. Beer garden is spectacular and local tap beer options.
What an absolute gem in the heart of Trentham.a great country pub.the waitresses are so polite, professional and pleasant unlike the guy behind counter at the Cafe down the road at Aterics!
Well done to the owners of this really lovely hotel, great dining. We will be back. Thank you
Food was ok and table service was lovely but whole experience was totally ruined by a very rude and aggressive man behind the bar while trying to pay our $300+ bill. Can't understand how some people think that they can speak to customers that way. Will definitely not be be going back there. Beware!
Excellent food and friendly welcoming service. The steak was magnificent and the chocolate mousse is a must for those who love great chocolate. The place itself has alot of character and charm. Highly recommended. We went both nights we stayed in Trentham.
Beer garden with a group of 4 was shady and beautiful on a hot day. A pint of stout/porter on tap.
We came here on a recommendation from a conversation at Passing Clouds Winery, and we’re very glad we did!
From the moment we entered, Fiona had us covered. We were seated quickly with menus and drinks offered. One in our party is gluten-free (celiac), and this was handled flawlessly.
Food was excellent. Calamari crusty and juicy, pork belly crackling, duck confit crispy, and steak done to order. Vegetables were done al dente. Potatoes were tender yet not mushy. The chef running the kitchen knew how they wanted each element on the plate to come out and made sure the kitchen delivered it even to the phyllo pastry in the dessert.
If you pass through Trentham, the Cosmo is worth a stop.
This was o
A wonderful country venue with loads of charm, wonderful service and excellent meals. The outdoor garden space is perfect in the sun, and the indoor dining space looks equally as exciting on a winters day. A must see on your travels through the Macedon Ranges. Must try the eggplant crisps!
Welcoming staff from the second we arrived til the moment we left. We were fortunate to enjoy some beautiful weather in the enchanting outdoor area. Our meals were delicious and we are already planning our return visit.
