The Coffee Club Café - Moonee Ponds

We dined here on Saturday after running an errand locally. We have been to Coffee Clubs before where food quality has been worth what we paid. We were completely disappointed with our experience at the Moonee Ponds Store on Saturday, especially given I am heavily pregnant and it was the only option without walking too far. It was a long wait which could be forgiven. The blender for most cold drinks was broken so we were asked if I would like an iced chocolate instead of a milkshake. The photo on the menu you order from looks inviting and decadent with whipped cream on top. After agreeing to the iced chocolate I was literally brought a tall glass of plain milk poured over chocolate syrup with a small scoop of ice cream. Yes I mixed it myself but there was zero effort put into a not so cheap drink. We ordered a croissant for my 3 year old daughter who also wanted peanut butter. When it finally came out the peanut butter sachet was covered in something to the point we didn't give it to her in case of contamination of some sort. It literally looked like it had been dropped and retrieved from the bin and put on her plate. I ordered the big breakfast and my husband the eggs Benedict. When you think of cafe style toast you think thick cut. Both my sourdough and the seeded bread my husband asked for we clearly from a supermarket pre sliced packet. My mushrooms as you can see were other just left to shrivel and served on my plate or everything was simply microwaved and completely dry and inedible. Overall this experience was extremely disappointing especially given it cost us almost $80. Would not recommend nor return.

I gave these guys plenty of chances but I just can't anymore. This place doesn't no how to function, food is terrible, definitely not cafe quality. Not worth it!

Usually a lovely place to visit at highpoint.sat 9th sept had all young ppl working there. First, our order was incorrect, it took double the time to turn up, even then we still had to return the coffee, and no cutlery was provided for our meal. Nobody listened and very disorganised.a big let down compared to the usual standard. I hope this is not going to be repeated.

Online and on the opening hours it states closing time is 5: 30pm. I arrive at 4: 58pm for a takeaway coffee and the staff member says she is closed… I said that it says they close at 5: 30pm however no orders are taken now (4: 58) as she needs to use this time to clean… absolutely bizarre

I tried it few month back and it was terrible breakfast. I tried it today and it was worse. Never try it again.

Paid $14 for a piece of toast and mushrooms. The food came out on three separate plates and was COLD
I asked to speak to the manager and she was the one who took the order!
She offered a $4 refund.
Will never go back there again

I've been to the coffee club at moonee many times.
They make the best choc banana smoothies I've ever had in my life.
The last time I attended there, was in my lunch break and I was in a bit of a rush. The food took over 20 minutes to come out, and all I had ordered was a ham and cheese croissant and a lemonade to go. I have no idea why it took so long, but I was a little annoyed.
The food was good regardless, but definitely won't be risking it if I have a time limit to get food again.

Dirty table. The chips looked like somebody’s leftovers. Less than a handful and the plate was dirty with bits of bacon stuck on it. What is going on here? I’m embarrassed for this business.

Took awhile (20min+) for our food to come out, told the worker 2 times that I didn’t want any sauce on the burger but still came with sauce, after taking it back, it then took another 15 min to come back out

Hot & fresh croissant and egg & bacon roll with ice teas. Although the normal ice tea came really watery and tasteless initially and the sever insisted that it is supposed to be like that, when I took it up to the counter, my drink was replaced immediately and got a proper iced tea eventually.

Burnt coffee, not great. Server more interested in chatting to the other servers than watching what they where doing.

I never write a review but WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I will never step foot in there again. To then hear it was the manager that treated us that way… LOL CYA! Business stems from management. I feel sorry for their staff.

If you want to wait 45min for a meals. 1 meal came out followed by the next meal 10 minutes later, 2 meals never arrived. Other customers served. Staff not very apologetic. Poor service, meals cold when they arrived, dry food.

Nice quick good choice for kids with some options for allergies. 2 hour parking close by so don't have to rush.

Our lunch was delicious & promptly prepared. Thanks to staff member who returned my senior's card to me from counter. Much appreciated.

Exceptional service
Friendly quick and efficient all south a genuine smile.
Nothing was too hard for them
We ordered the beef pulled roll and chips and the Berry smoothie and the mango and passion fruit drink.
Because we knew the meal would be too big for each of us, we requested another plate and extra cutlery.
We explained we wanted to share the meal and would half it when it came, but they went one step further and actually bought it too us already shared on 2 plates with 2 lots of cutlery.
Thank you so much for doing this and not making it into a hassle

Stop here for a quick bite for lunch. Service was prompt and accommodating. Ordered pulled beef sandwich which was delicious and soda which was also very nice.

Went today for coffee the chai late was taste is bad i returned back
unproffessional cofee maker i spend my money no geting anything never go back again

Went there for a quick brunch with family.
Staff is ignorant and unprofessional.
Food is average.
Gave us coffee and thrice I asked for sugar but no one bothered to give it. They were busy chatting at the counter, holding the sugar sachets.
Wouldn't recommend going there.
Also you won't get what you order.
Highly disappointing.
