Food was lovely and the service was great. Highly recommend for lunch. Fantastic option for celiacs.

Loved it! Glad to see it back to a traditional local! Sliding door between booths and the front bar was very loud, and it would have been great to have live music earlier, but it was great!

Had a booking and got seated got drinks all was fine then people without bookings got seated ordered food, ate and left all within half n hour of our stay while we waited 2 hours for just our food to come out only for it with be rock hard and gross making us leave more than both plates with more than half of our dinner left as we couldn’t eat it only to find out from an old worker that they re microwave food n all makes sense as to why our food was scorching hot but rock hard and paying $150 for food we couldn’t eat will not be coming back here.

Just enjoyed the most delicious beef ragu for my meal and hubby had the barramundi with sides of chats and beans.a cheeky glass each of Shadowfax Pinot.the most delicious meal.better than pub grub but a nice relaxed vibe.staff attentive but not hovering.definitely will return

We had a terrific meal when we dined out on Sunday.
The hotel had a great atmosphere with live music playing.
Our experience was made all the more enjoyable by staff member Michael, who was very warm, friendly, vibrant and fun, making us feel very relaxed and comfortable.

Food was amazing. Huge serving size and so fresh. The staff were very welcoming and very attentive.

I go to karaoke here pretty much every weekend and, absolutely love it. Steph, the karaoke host is warm and friendly and the rest of the staff are just as welcoming. There's always great music here as well.

My partner and I were looking forward to eating here as it seemed like a popular venue.

The staff were polite and the general space is decent.

However, the food we were served today was a massive let down.

Ordered two classic parmis and it seemed as though it was just mildly reheated frozen food, slopped together at the last minute, with melted cheese on top.

The meat itself was rubbery, grey in colour and genuinely looked several days old. Definitely made us question whether it was even cooked all the way through.

Couldn’t detect seasoning of any sort either.

This isn’t acceptable for a pub standard, costing $27 each.

If you are looking for food that’s edible, I’d advise walking a few doors down to “Two Sugars” instead.

AMAZING, One of the best pubs ever. Great service, parmi and all sorts of food. Karaoke nights are the best and it never disapoints

Great range of drinks.had a pizza, forgot to take photo, but it was very yummy and only $5 with a drink! Lovely staff!

Service was good chicken parmas x 5 good and filling and a great selection of toppings. Only disappointment a little on the Pricey side

Stopped in for a late lunch, staff were welcoming and friendly. Catered amazingly for my coeliac and the parmi was amazing.

Meal was average but it was super busy so not sure if this impacted food quality. Good for a quick pub meal.

We had the pleasure of having Michael look after us last Saturday. He was very accommodating and helpful, which was really appreciated. Gave us spot on suggestions when it came to menu choices. Thanks Michael!

Great night out, live music and a bit of karaoke when you get board. Nice vibe, clean and a nice bistro. The staff are ridiculously nice

A few months ago we used to go to Barking dog all the time. We went just today and it seems like management has changed. Menus have changed. We payed $16 for 5 pieces of squid. They neglected cutlery, napkins and water- they were more concerned about having a chat and setting the band up rather than their customers. We are never coming back. I wanted to take my wife out for a date and I feel so dissatisfied and disappointed. Bloody terrible service

Naomi, Veronica and I had a wonderful night at The Barking Dog Hotel. I want to give a special mention to Michael, Jenna, David and all the staff for their wonderful, friendly service, nothing was an effort. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and the karaoke was the best I’ve been to. We had so much fun. We will be making this a regular night out. Very noisy but people were having a nice time. They had music and I was comfortable. If you like a glass or two and music it seems like a nice place.

Amazing venue with hard working staff. The cope really well with the amount of walk in they had. Including bar staff, chefs. The food was delicious. Presentation was amazing. I had the Pork Belly which was rich and crispy and done to superb. I was very impressed with Geelong. I look forward to coming back.
