Stuart is a wonderful, engaging and brilliantly witty server- a wonderful ambassador for TGIF across several locations!

Food was good. We were encouraged to write a kind review for a promotion, from someone who was not our server for the night. Happy to do it for the promotion, but then were refused service to clear our plates once dessert arrived because it “was not their job”. Ended up moving our plates go another empty table to enjoy our dessert.

It’s always a good night out at TGIs, foods great and you can always be sure of some good quality old fashioned service. Plenty of staff it’s obviously a great team to be part of and it shows in their care for their customers. Will be back.

NOT COMPENANT ENOUGH TO SEAT PATRONS. A HOST WHO TAKES HIMSELF FAR TOO SERIOUSLY!
We arrived at TGI's and was met with a sign at the entrance that says wait to be seated. So we waited at that sign. About 5 minutes later, a young lady saw us waiting and said 'the host will seat you shortly, stand over there' which was to the right of where we were standing. So we moved the few meters and stood where she motioned to stand. By the way, half the restaurant was empty and the whole outside seating area empty too. So it wasn't a busy afternoon for them.
A few minutes later another wait staff came over and said the host would be there soon. This happened 3 times, and I kept thinking, why don't they just seat us? We were about to leave because we'd been standing there for a long time waiting when another wait staff saw us waiting, came over and said the host would be with us. I told him 3 people had already said that and the host was nowhere to be seen, I think he went to look for the host because he walked off in the other direction looking all about and when he came back straight over to us and said he'd seat us himself asks our preference, checks the area we wanted to be seated was available and tells us to follow him, which we start doing.
Just then the host comes power walking over from the other side of the restaurant and I motioned to a gentleman who had been standing there waiting and told him to seat him because we were taken care of. I was literally following my family who was following the waiter and the host stopped us! He was agressve right of the mark and told us we had to wait in line, go stand at the sign we were originally standing at (and asked to move by his own staff) and wait to be seated after he seated the gentleman. His own waiter, who turned around and heard the host telling me off, told him he'd found a table for us outside so to seat the other guy and the host said no! We had to wait for him to serve the gentleman that I had motioned to first and we had to wait at the original sign we first encountered when we arrived. He refused to seat us even when his own waiter looked at him incredulously. It made no sense whatsoever. The host could have seated the gentleman and we would be seated by the waiter. We had already started going to the table when the host came over and essentially stopped us.
We opted to leave because the host stopped his waiter from seating us and kept saying we had to wait 'in line' when there was no line, just us and the other gentleman to seat. The poor waiter just looked on in disbelief because he was literally just about to walk us to our table when the host lost it.
We left and the host was still blathering on about us waiting in line and him having to serve the guy first.
In the time it took for him to be outrageous, he'd have seated the other patron (who also stood the gobsmacked) and we would have been seated.
Ridiculous conduct by the host. You lost a table of patrons for nothing. Literally a non issue. You have to wonder if he just takes his job far too seriously. So if you go there make sure to stand in the correct line at the front door, you never know if the host from hell is lurking to make sure you're on the left side of the welcome sign.

Booked a table my partner’s birthday on Saturday evening, the waitress that looked after us that night was lovely. Ordered the vegetarian burrito bowl, what a rip off… tiny tiny portion!

Ordered a hot cappuccino… it was the worst coffee we ever had ️ it tasted like instant coffee made up of 1 teaspoon of coffee and heaps of water.

Mentioned the coffee to the manager of the night when paying the bill, he did not seemed to care/acknowledge at all! Better check ur bill before paying as they charged us TWICE for the beverage.honestly don’t know if I would go back

Food was in the top 1 of worst food I’ve ever tasted and eaten, ordered a med rare steak, that was underweight and over cooked.it was. Med well, mains arrived before entrees, quesedilla were slop in a plate, chicken strips were crumbed leather…. Left 90% of food on table.done with these novices pretending to be hospo professionals.

A bit slow to be greeted and taken to our table, but once in all good. Ordering through the App is very easy and the food came super quick. Go for one of the super milk shakes they are amazing

Austin the bartender, he absolutely goes out of his way to make sure every customer is getting what they need, amazing conversation n attitude no matter the circumstances and absolute king at his job.

Waiting over 1 hour and 10 minutes for a drink that you’ve pre-paid for is sub-par service. It was raised with the waiter after 40 minutes once the meal ordered with it was almost finished, yet still took another half an hour and another reminder. Then received a standard size, when an ultimate was ordered. Won’t be returning.

I got the beef burrito and it was basically a wrap, nothing mexican/authentic about it. Servers were really friendly and the mango and peach lemonade mocktail was the highlight of my meal

Over priced and poor quality. Rack of ribs was tiny for $37, were over cooked so the meat was dry. Paid an extra $2 for “thick steak fries” instead of shoestring fries that come with it, and it looked and tasted like fish n chip shop chips not premium. The $25 burger was tiny and lacked favour (Grill’d downstairs is twice as good and half the price). Paid $9 for a non-alcoholic “home made” lemonade (american style) and it tasted like cheap lemon cordial and was mostly ice, barely any drink. Kids eat free was promoted on the menu, but it didn’t get applied if you ordered from the table using the app (need to order from staff member to get the discount). Three adult meals, 3 non-alcoholic drinks, 2 kids meals with 2 kids drinks, and one $15 starter added up to over $170! Wouldn’t mind the cost if the quality and/or quantity you hear about from these Amarican chains was there, but felt ripped off to be honest.

Great food and incredible customer service, we had Lachie as our waiter and he made the whole night better, absolute legend with some good banter

Mate where do I start top notch food great service lovely place amazing people no where else I'd rather take my loved one then to TGIF Greenhills.

Appalling behaviour by staff, especially their manager who has no sense of customer service! Ordered drinks which we never got, food was cold and then he had the audacity to charge me for drinks we never received.

They disappoint me on every visit. It’s a battle to get anything you want, even if it’s water or cutlery.

Staff are all friendly. Food is delicious and filling. Nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend for a good night out.

Covid Update:
Since Covid has closed everything down it has been great that TGIF has offered lots of its great menu as Takeaway. I've been getting it delivered weekly. Once we can enjoy a nice meal out again I'll be making it a weekly occurrence to eat in at TGIF and enjoy the great atmosphere and friendly staff still which is the only thing missing from eating at home:)

As always the staff are really friendly. Food is great and big servings - really tasty. This is my go to restaurant for a bite out - they always look after me here as I come often. 100/100
