Great place for a group booking - simple, tasty food and plenty of it!

The venue itself is a little underwhelming considering the price. I’ve been twice now and wasn’t as comfortable sitting in the outdoor area.

I am a foody (from France) and a food photographer. I tried their cuisine. Oh my god! It's so good! It's one of my best restaurant in Melbourne so far and trust me I tried a lot!

This place was amazing pre-covid, 2nd visit was disappointing, overpriced, mains were practically inedible and lacked flavour, and portion sizes were tiny for a seating of 7.

Only 1 small dip of hummus was included in the banquet for example.

Such good food! Tasty, filling but not super heavy.reasonable Byo drinks policy. Great for vegans and meat eaters. Considerate of dietary requirements. Will definitely be back

Had a lovely experience here. Customer service was perfect, the decor makes you feel at home and the banquet was quite generous in quantity and quality. The entree salad was refreshing, green beans were nice and garlicky, the eggplant was a bit under-seasoned and undercooked, the cheese in flaky pastry was so delicious and I could definitely eat a million, for mains the chicken was a bit dry, the lamb though was perfect and finally deserts were a nice trio

Nicely decorated spot and friendly staff but lack of atmosphere and value for money. $50 for hummous and half a pita bread each, small salad, green beans, eggplant with sauce, chicken stew with rice and lamb and two little sweet treats for desert. No side sauces, pickles or accompaniments. Flavours nice but didn't quite measure up to price and the mains were extremely oily and one of the sweet dishes old. Service ok but all in all not really worth it and
won't recommend or come again.

Goodness! Where do I even start.
We did the chef's menu with 7 dishes in total and they were all superb! Surpassed expectations!
Unlike your usual Middle Eastern restaurant of grilled meats and bread/dips. The dishes here are well presented, really fresh, delicious yet not overwhelming with flavours.

The chef menu even comes with desserts and really just was the cherry on top of our night.

Service and restaurant vibe was lovely and felt like I was transported to another country! Definitely a unique feeling given the travel restrictions.

Very easy to enjoy and would definitely recommend! I'd be back very soon!

Showed up on a Tuesday night at 6: 15pm without a booking, they were quick too accommodate us and were able to seat us but we would have to be out by 7: 30, there was an offer of banquet for either $40 and you get 2 small, 2 medium and 2 large meals plus a dessert platter. We went with Kafta w batata and fatte bi lahem for mains. There's a very homely feel inside this restaurant and the food tasted delicious

The parking in this area was terrible, there were not many places to park at peak time so we found a spot 2 blocks away.

It's super rare to get that feeling your in someone's home kitchen getting family classics and at the same time eating authentic cultural cuisine. Teta Mona does it with warm service and fabulous food. Stop reading reviews and eat already.

We ordered from here on home delivery. We ordered one of the banquets. The food was good and plentiful. It also travels well as it is impressively packaged. It is a rather pricey experience but one that’s well worth trying.

Had been here a couple times before and loved it. The most recent time, I had a booking for 30 people and everyone had a great time. We were really well looked after (the staff are amazing) and they set up a row of tables for us that took up half the courtyard; the weather was perfect that day but there was some cover anyway, so the atmosphere was awesome. The food is delicious and well priced, and they are happy for you to put any leftovers in some containers to take home. Very vegetarian and vegan friendly too, but plenty of meat options for the meat lovers. Highly recommend this place to anyone – and for large groups as well since it’s often hard to find somewhere to fit a large group on Melbourne! (Was too busy enjoying the food to take many photos but I’ve included a photo of the desserts we got as part of the banquet – desserts were def one of the many highlights!). Also it’s BYO!

Outstanding Lebanese restaurant - one of the best places to get falafel in Melbourne.

Eat in menu is interesting and reasonably priced - their delivery food is great as well.

My gf and I had a really disappointing experience here tonight.

We especially came here for the cauliflower and tabbouleh vegan dishes (my gf is vegan) after ordering we were told the cauliflower was sold out, nps we changed the item. Once food came out we’re told that the tabbouleh is also sold out (If we had known about both items being sold out we would have eaten elsewhere)

Kindly the waitress brought out some cheese pastry as an apology although, my gf can’t eat them being a dairy item.

They also forgot my drinks order.

Really feeling let down and disappointed by this restaurants service.

Interesting response. The owner hasn't even been empathetic at all, nor read the situation. We're paying customers. We pay for a service. I'll never come back here and mention this to anyone who asks of your restaurant. Incredibly unprofessional for overpriced home cooking.

First time visit, our friends took us out. This was an awesome evening. The food was fresh, delicious and old fashion yum. Service excellent. Just a Lebanese delight.

2018: Great atmosphere, tasty food and a very friendly staff. I would recommend it.

Update 01/2021: we went yesterday night and had a set menu for 50$ each.
A lot of rice, hommous and veggies. Very little meat. The most surprising dish was one of the mains. "rice with potatoes". Really?
If you want a good Lebanese in Melbourne, try Tibas in Sydney Road.

I'm sad to say our experience last night was poor, really poor. We'd come back to Teta Mona because our great previous dinner with the same group, but this time we were sorely disappointed. Due to the Covid situation we accept the set menu only option, but not this menu. Cheap, mostly tasteless, supermarket bread and one single dip and some salads for entrees, rice with some chicken, and then more rice with potatoes (really? !) in a nondescript kind of curry sauce for mains. Unacceptable. And at $50 a head with corkage, a rip off. I give it 1 star because the service was quick, friendly and efficient, but the food deserves a big fat zero.

First time we went here the food was def a 4-5 star! However recently dined in a large group and had to get the $39 set menu.
Value for money was not there, and the food quality and quantity was poor- dry bread/pita, lack lustre dips and only one main dish variant.
Will need to re-consider whether we will give it another shot.
