Teta Mona

We booked Friday night and had heard wonderful comments from family and friends.
It was a set menu and the biggest disappointment.
The cost $50 pp
The food was very poor especially if paying that much pp.
The salad was awful.
Just to start.
SO do not recommend set menu

Another delicious meal here. The banquet on Saturday night made it easy for the group, and was all the delicious things we like.

Pros.
Excellent food, friendly service BYO booze at a very reasonable corckage fee and price over all.

Con
I'm never a fan of places that do a pay less if you pay cash deal. (Screams not paying their share in tax or that they are paying their staff in cash)

Had the vegetarian set menu and loved it. Every dish was great. Service impeccable and great value for money.

Food was very good and tasty, but the banquet was very pricey. We did not know there was a set menu either. We were not even shown the menu at the beginning. The person in the cashier should smile ;)

We spent New Year's Eve dinner here and was the best way to finish 2021. The food was delicious and the service was personal and fun. It is on our list to revisit!

What a rubbish food. I wouldn't even feed it to my enemies. Management you need to work on your service besides food.

The variety in the menu paired with the extraordinary flavours are something not to be missed.

Great place for groups with both meat eaters and vegetarians. The food came out quickly and every dish fresh and flavorful.

It's BYO as well so I would highly recommend looking at the menu online first so that you can select appropriate choices for the dishes that you know you would like to get.

There is a bottle shop across the street with a limited wine selection and a Black Hearts and Sparrow up the street.

Amazing food, awesome service, best fresh produce in town. And BYO! What more does someone need? Def worth a visit

A wonderful night out with the girls! A delicious banquet truly tantalised the tastebuds. The staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. Highly recommended!

Pretty bad value for money
I had a few dishes and pretty much all of them were less than average, the bread was cold, desert was lame as well, I think everything is pre-made.
Compare to the food and the standart in Australia I guess it's ok food, but not for $55 dollars per person.

. And in a flash it was all over.with all the grace, consideration and customer care of an auto car wash.and on paying, no thank you, no smile.and the only one on one interaction of the experience "would you like to leave a tip". Are you kidding? ! NEVER AGAIN

Teta Mona is a real cosy place with good atmosphere. The service was really friendly and the food superb. But it definitely needs more space, in the front area there's barely enough room. But I guess that doesn't overshadow how good it is. Definitely recommended.

I went with warm, nostalgic anticipation of my own teta's (grandmother's) cooking without expecting replication. The reality was very different and unfortunately disappointing. The food was amateurish and tasteless, sometimes under cooked. It was as if I was getting a ten year old's version of the cooks teta's cooking, served in child like bowls, sitting at uncomfortable tables like old school desks and benches. Lebanese food is not complicated, but it is labour intensive at times, and should be full of flavour. The banquet that I tasted was like a very ordinary simple food version. The physical space of the restaurant is cramped and grungy, and not at all inviting and homely like one might expect from a middle eastern restaurant. The service was friendly, but I felt sorry for the conditions they had to work in. And sorry for the patrons that were there, who would never taste my teta's cooking. As I walked out with my friend, I was not surprised not see any middle eastern looking people seated at the tables. If one knew the food one would not go back. If one didn't, there are other restaurants to try.

Home-based cooking but better than most of us could make. Perfectly-sized portions, well-priced, reliable quality.

Relaxed and authenticate experience that consistently combines great food and great service!

A favourite place to enjoy a relaxing meal and catchup with friends.

BTW Would highly recommend the cheese parcels, and Lamb for mains!

Really delicious! We ordered the Banquet 2 for 2 and it was wayyyy to much for us to fit in but all so very yum. Particularly loved the lamb mains, eggplant medium and barramundi service was fast and all staff were lovely.

The most delicious food I’ve eaten in a very long time. Highly, highly recommend. Excellent service, too. Thanks Teta Mona!
