Templestowe Living Room reviews
68Been there on Sunday last week. Such an amazing restaurant. I was specifically pleased with the service. Keep the good work guys!
Great service, good food, the menu is a little confusing to read because of the font but maybe just me
Warm atmosphere, friendly service, great menu and amazing food. Once again, The Liiving Room lives up to it's reputation.
Small over priced meals. The biuobbasse soup was a small amount of seafood on a bed of sauce. Get a cook book and have a read
Lovely atmosphere, great place to grab a coffee and a light meal or something more substantial if that's what you are after. Excellent service, not overbearing. I would definitely return, a great place to catch up with a friend.
Seems like a normal restaurant from the outside, but the owner needs serious professional help.
This is a much loved gem in a part of Melbourne which can best be described as a culinary desert. The service is always competent and the food is very good.
The environment is comfortable, the food is rich, and the size of the appetizer and the main course is divided, which is suitable for different times.
We have been to this venue several times and food is always good, but nothing seems to change on the menu. It's like going to McDonald's and looking at the same menu everytime.
Favourite lunch place - great lunch menu - friendly staff. Beautiful setting for a restful, very delicious lunch.
We are regulars at this restaurant and have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. We decided to take advantage of their takeaway and delivery service on Mothers Day evening and could not have been happier. Delivered exactly the time specified and food was excellent and hot. Well done! Ken & Leonie Gowans
This place is a regular for us. Great atmosphere and the food is always fantastic! Such a pleasure to dine here.
This was our first time at The Living Room Restaurant
WoW
from the time we arrived til the time we left everything was fantastic
Our meals were served with enough time in between to enjoy a dinner not just a meal
Our waiter was wonderful
The food was very good and the prices were reasonable
Thankyou
See you again soon
Fabulous food delivered on time and piping hot. Very happy to enjoy the takeaway option as Covid19 stopped our usual Birthday dinner night at The Living Room
Went there 16 February 2020 for my Dad's birthday lunch. Booked for 1pm. It was not full, yet service was exceptionally slow. Took 75 minutes for our main course to arrive. Food was okay, but not worth the price paid. The duck breast consisted of 4-5 slices of breast meat, with some unexceptional vegetables on the side. Staff appeared harried and overworked, despite their best efforts. Parking is a challenge, so unless you need to find a place in Templestowe, I would suggest giving it a miss.
Delicious! Top quality food impeccably delightful in presentation & taste, kind waiting and an open atmosphere at Templestowe's most expensive restaurant.
Reservations required during peak periods.
Excellent service and meals to cater for a wide variety of tastes.
You will not be disappointed with food or service.
Will be returning as one of my favorite venues.
I have been coming to The Living Room off and on for several years and after a long hiatus I returned with a friend.
Nothing has changed (except the menu). The superb choices of dishes, great staff and warm atmosphere continues.
We arrived on Friday night with a lovely greeting from the staff. We were seated at one of my favourite tables and that's when the great service begins.
I could focus on the food but it goes without saying. The food is always superb with a nice choice of wine that complements each meal.
However, what I noticed more than ever was the attentiveness of the staff. First - they listen. Listen to our tastes, thoughts and likes. They make gentle selections and expand our options for dining.
My friend and I ordered the same meal although one was a main the other an entree. From order to table was 20 minutes. In the meantime we drank a stunning Yangarra Shiraz. Our glasses discreetly topped up. No intrusion on our private, intimate conversation.
Once our meals arrived we were offered extra freshly grated Parmesan and black pepper - then left alone to eat. Just before we'd finished the waiter checked in. Nice. Discreet. Not asking for anything more than 'how's your meal? '
The Living Room was full this night as it is many nights, so book in advance and if you can't make it at least be courteous and let them know.
It's the people and culture behind a place like this that makes it great. So I decided to snap some if the staff. Fun. Friendly. Professional.
There is plenty of parking around but do look at the limitations as inspectors are quick off the mark.
This place is wheelchair friendly with a ramp at the rear.
Kid friendly but more so earlier in the evening. High chair available.
Toilets clean and regularly checked.
I know locals who come here regularly and I will continue to visit as my restaurant of choice with a new date.
Thank you to all staff for making it another memorable night.
I love this place. Always so nice. Great atmosphere, attentative and friendly staff and yummy food which caters for food intolerances.
6 Star Restaraunt. Xlnt meals. Not big but there were plenty of side dishes to your liking. So u can build your own meal around the main dish. I had pork belly. Perfectly done with spicy cauliflower florets (my choice of side dish.) Meat was perfectly done and skin was crisp but easy to cut. The beers were CHEAP but the wines were average prices. Lots of variety of both craft beers and wines. Overall an xlnt place for a good dining experience. Sophisticated but friendly atmosphere. Quite busy but staff were able to cope and were attentive. This place has been around for many years so must be doing something right.
