My phone was disconnected so I had to use someone else’s phone to call. Terrible customer service hung up on me for no reason whatsoever so I had to go to a different city and it was much better and is currently helping and fixing the problem. Don’t go to Telstra Melbourne

NEGATIVE STARS
Worst telstra store in CBD.

Walked in and was not greeted or approached by any of the approx 8 staff on duty and in the store until it was closing time and one staff memeber who had been chatting to the securtity guard happily came over to tell me they were closing and I had to leave.

When I raised the issue that no one had sereved me or apporach me and pointed out the group of 5 female staff standing in a corner chatting anongst themselves and the other male staff memebrs, of which 2 had walked straight past me deliberatley ignoring eye contact, failed to acknowldge and said I should have been greeting on entry and given a ticket.which i advised never happend and I had been in the store for over 25 mins with no assistance and Only saw one staff memeber serving a customer at the checkout desk

Called telstra customer service immedialtey after leaving the store to make a complaint (would like to get some feedback regarding this complaint and what measures will be taken to improve sutomer service in the future)

Looking at other feedback this is not a one off occurance and Telstra need to overhaul their staff training or cut loose the slack and or lazy team members OR the store mangers who allow this kind of behaviour and lack of customer service

I had really really terrible experience. Big woman manager and guard are awful.
I could not use telstra signal by my phone, so I wanted to refund my money back.
But big woman manager kick me off the store and laughing with guard to me when she heard refund.
“ we don’t give back you money, get out here right now”
Can you believe it? I tried to ask gently and tell my situation, then kick me off.
After that call to customer service, they just said go to store.

If I can put minus star review, I definitely do it.

Poor service, had a phone which was faulty within 30 days of purchasing it. The store kept telling us to try it for a bit longer and see if it works any better. They said if the phone was faulty within 30 days they would replace it. But rather than replacing it they kept telling us to try it for a bit longer. After the 30 days was up they said that they would not replace the phone because it had past 30 days. We contacted the TIO and Telstra cancelled the contract.

Felt very rushed in here and like staff did not want to be there on a Sunday morning.
I went in to upgrade my cell plan and wanted to see what devices were available. Nothing was on display! I asked the staff if they could show me a few of the new iPhones. I was met with bad attitudes and dummy units.

I left the store without a new plan.

The receptionist delivered unbelievably appalling service. I wanted to discuss my needs with someone before visiting the store and spending a few thousand dollars. The receptionist insisted that I do things her way and refused to put me through to anyone in the store and would only transfer me to 132000. She was prepared to fight tooth and nail to do it here way and hung up on me for when I pressed the point and advised her that her way did not suit me. I will now go elsewhere, having received the worst customer service I have experience anywhere in a long time, how Telstra has people like this answering phones I will never know. 0/5 stars.

After using your 110+79 per month for only 4Mb/s plan, my family totally disappointed about Telstra. We live in Balwyn and not far away from Melbourne region, just don't get why? I am using my hotspot post this review, since my WI-FI is disconnected again. Called many times and not any improvement for evening disconnection.

When i was 13, i was unlucky enough to get mauled by a dog. I had 89 stitches throughout my arms and legs and a recovery time of around 6 months before i was fully healed. It was a more enjoyable experience than trying to upgrade my phone over a 2 hour period. Special mention to the team for telling me they didnt have stock after 45 mins. Leaving. Getting a call to say they'd found stock for me. Coming back to the store. Waiting an extra hour. Then getting told i couldnt upgrade to that phone. Truly a tour de force of pain. I actively looked around at a point to see if i was on 'punk'd'. But can confirm, it was not the case. Clap. Clap. Clap. Very good trolling of a customer IRL. Respect.

Kudos to Jackson for quickly resolving my issue in regard to upgrading my phone. It took me all day visiting one store to another to rrsolve this issue. I gave up and took my issues online and gave me a reference number. Lol. That reference number wasnt even need for my boy Jackson. He needs a raise you guys for keeping the hope alive for customer service.

My experience in Telstra is very good. Come in twice didn’t wait long. They call in to pick up my phone when it’s ready. They’re very friendly throughout the process. I feel like they make effort to greet every customer and help everyone in a non robotic way.

Pathetic customer service. Less staff and more customers. Staff told told me to wait and after about 30 mins I went out of the store without any service from the staff.

Don’t bother, massive wait and NOT helpful, told me to call the call centre to get a better deal, what a joke. Just go to Optus, cheaper.

Went in to set up a business account and it was done so poorly that I wasted extra time on the phone with the Business team trying to fix it all.
I left messages and attempts to call and none was returned.
The team happily created the problems, hurriedly sent us on our way, and played no part in resolving it.
Filed a formal complaint.

The greeter was useless and didn't listen to me, once I convinced him I knew what service I required I was told there was a two hour wait so went back to the office, got a call 10 minutes later saying they were ready to serve me.

Once talking to someone I was able to clean up my phone plans and get a new device, all within my budget.

Pathetic service today. Each time I have entered a telstra shop in geelong there is someone to greet you and place you in a queue, but not here. All I wanted to do was check my contract end date and see if I was up for renewal. Checked out the Samsung's on offer for at least 10 minutes and wasn't approached by the staff who seemed to be busy talking to one another. Not the experience I am used to from telstra.

Not very helpful sales representatives! They are very selective on the matters that they help with and I have never received a proper answer. Every single time I was asked to make an appointment for a very small query that other Telstra shops could resolve in less than 5 minutes.

Truly incompetent. After my last visit they assured me my phone would be ready to pick up the next day. 13 days later (my first chance to get back into the city) it is still not there.
