Tates Toys and Hobbies Toyworld

Have to love a real toy store. Great selection of stuff including the model enamel paints that I needed for a motorbike project.

Narrow walkways emind me of toyshops when I was young. There is also a great section for modelling.

Took my son here for the "Toyworld" experience I remember as a child with his birthday money, the store in General was great and packed of toys they were in toy haven.

Until today when I realised we paid $40 more for a paw patrol item than the same product from Kmart I realised that my poor son was more than less ripped off due to me wanting to give him the experience.

I understand independent stores etc etc but with the buying power of Toyworld this $40 difference over a $99.99 item seems a bit too much. It will be the last time I come back to the store.

Nothing against the customer service it was great and patient with my 5yr old son paying for the item.

Absolutely amazing floor to ceiling toy's toy's toy's, and RC, scale models and scale electric track and accessories. Staff are helpful and friendly I highly recommend Toyworld for a one of a kind toy shopping experience

This is a great toy shop, in a CASTLE no less! The staff member who served us had the patience of a saint as my 5yo gave insanely specific face painting instructions… and they stock ‘professional’ grade yoyos, which made my husband very happy!

Clint and the team are totally amazing. Located and found an obscure car charger for a toy. Cannot praise them enough

Lots of good options. They are over priced on a lot of things, but they will price match if a local store has matching stock, so make sure to check first and ask.

Such a fun place for kids to browse. Heaps of toys to choose from. Hobbies too trains, RC, model kits. Excellent helpful staff. Absolutely recommend

We recently took back a remote control car we have had for a year and wasn't charging properly. The really helpful staff in the hobby shop area ran checks on the car and provided new cable free of charge.

Great place for hobby needs! They have an extensive collection of supplies and tools. Clayton in the hobby section is super knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of my questions and provided excellent advice. I'll definitely return and highly recommend this place.

One of the best hobby / Toy shops around. The staff are always friendly. It is loaded with stock, almost too much to choose from, Almost! Free Gift wrapping of presents. Lego, Hotwheels and models galore. I visit regularly

Clayton is a great and honest person to deal with. He has amazing knowledge and persisted to repair my petrol powered car. We have been shopping a Tate's for years and with these kind of dealings and people, we will be shopping there for years to come. Keep up the terrific work!

This is a wonderful store. It has toys, and trains; rockets and planes. All the toys that big kids and little kids need.

Staff seem really friendly and willing to help answer questions.

Bought a $600 model train that does not work and they will not exchange or refund it. I have been a loyal customer for 30 years but will never buy from them again!

Nice toy shop, helpful staff good variety of stock the only problem for me is its not wheelchair friendly.
If you have a disability where mobility is an issue the shop is to tiny to meet those needs.

Wonderful place with plenty of options. Toys, trinkets and the great hobbies department (my favorite) I recommend if anybody needs toys (no matter what age) go check out Tates Toyworld, its awesome!

Great shop. Has a toy side and rc hobby side with parts and knowledge. Very helpful. It's getting harder to find an actual store with help anymore.
