Taco Bill - Russell St

Went here years ago. What a spot! I love bills, delissimo. Didn't burn my hand on the sizzle plate cause I'm not an idiot! Haha what a great time I had:)

Delicious food, but the whole place feels like it needs a deep clean. Lovely staff, fast service.

We've eaten here many times. I love the food each and every time. Keeps us coming back. Meals can take some time (as do the margaritas if they are busy) but we keep coming back so it's a SOLID recommendation. Sit, sample a range of different margaritas with friends (free sombrero with the fishbowls) and enjoy the loud, vibrant atmosphere. This is the type of place you bring your favourite people to and enjoy the heck outta life!

Amazing food! Super amazing food venue is a bit dated and tricky to negotiate the stairs when leaving if you have had 3 or 10 fish bowls

Great little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant with quality food and margaritas for a decent price in the city central. I would have preferred the drink to be a little stiffer, but still good.

Up four flights of stairs so be aware if you are not able to do stairs - this should be advertised so people know. Quite a small space and extremely stuffy - walked in, sat down and found I could not breathe properly. Had to ask them to put the ceiling fan on but it didn’t work. Staff were great though and opened door and put aircon on. Instantly made a difference. Food and service was really good and quick. Waitresses were great. Toilets are terrible - small & toilet seat was completely off. I end up walking out. Seems very popular with young adults - good atmosphere.

Or so it seems. Not my favourite good type- mushy, flavorless and not nearly spicy enough. Even the chillies srent6teslly hot.

I don’t know how Mexican food should taste like but it was good. Got 30% off through EatClub app so no complaints: -P Location is good although the place is a bit hard to find upstairs and dated but atmosphere is good.

Not bad, very friendly staff and fair prices for lunch. Authentic Hispanic atmosphere but the food was just meh.

Was a regular visitor whilst living in Melb. But have moved north. Upon visiting Melb after 30 years, decided to dine at Taco Bills. May I say, its still fabulous, the menu is still the same. Amazing. The staff were very friendly and offer great customer service. I will return.

2 stars only for the food. We had Groupon, so got good value for money. Portions were enough. Although, not happy for the customer service, the waitress was too unwelcoming and rude. We didn’t call to book, she offered a corner table to 3 of us, the restaurant was all empty during lunch time. She seemed to be unhappy that we had coupon. Didn’t like her attitude. Never going back again until there is better staff

They wouldn't honor my Groupon, despite my best efforts to work with them about the fact that I simply hadn't called ahead first, for example, not being allowed to leave and call up. It all sort of smacked of they just didn't like the Groupon.

Small restaurant and quite cramped in spaces. Portion of food served was good. The Mexican rice I had with the Chicken Fajitas tasted nothing of Mexican. It is just plain fluff rice with some colour to it. The guacamole given with the cut lettuce to compliment with the Chicken Fajitas were too little. There were no Sour Cream or Salsa to go along with the Food. I have lived in the US and have friends who are Mexicans. The food served in this restaurant, need to improved their taste quality.

Had stuffed jalapeños which were 100% cooked from frozen, probably from Coles. My margarita was lucky to have any tequila in it. What a disaster.

Very cute Mexican joint. Honestly the food was alright and the servers were really nice:) wasn't blown away but definitely not terrible either

1.5 Oh my dear god this place really needed a “refresh”. Graffitied walls, thinning and worn carpets, 70s (?) decor.oh dear me.

Food-wise, I got a very beany combo of frijoles queso quesadilla, which apparently translates to roasted bean tortilla bean and bean with rice. It feels like there is a lot of glug to fill you up, not to necessarily inspire you to enjoy the food. The rice was quite hard, the beans are very clumpy, a recipe for flatulence disaster. The tortilla with bean was a touch nicer, but still nowhere near yummy.

I gave up eating both of the food halfway, now excuse me while I fart it all out.

We're 'chilli' freaks, so could have done with some more 'heat'. Instead of the store bought sliced jalapenos, maybe offer some fresh sliced of varying heat. Other than that, all good.

Great experience. Really fresh delicious food and pretty good value for money. The jug of Mexican punch is definitely worth it. Relaxed atmosphere, great for a date night or just catch up with friends. Will definitely come back

Food was ok but service was terrible and toilets were disgusting. Ordered Margarita and it came out of a slushy machine. Avoid.

They mention in their website that they have hard shell Tacos but when I visited the outlet they just didn't have it. Very disappointed. Why do you guys add something in your menu that is not available.
The staff was not very friendly and had too much of attitude. Felt like you are not welcome. Never ever going to visit any of the Taco Bill outlet.
