Taco Bill - Croydon reviews
54 Enchilada was basically garlic aoili and chicken mixed and microwaved - zero mexican flavours.
Vegetarian fajitas was like chinese stir fry, it had soy sauce in it!
Plates were smaller than they used to be along with the serving size.
Lighting was cold. No atmosphere at all.
Nothing like any of the multiple Taco Bills i have been too. A huge let down. Won't be going back.
Taco Bill was delicious, although a little expensive. I look forward to going back again some time soon:)
The food was great and on time, place was clean.
However our waiter was really creepy. She kept looking at us weird.
When we ordered/paid she talked very quietly, it was really hard to hear her and she didn't say much at all.
Easily the worst resturant ive been too in a long time if not ever food had no flavour tasted weird not like beef or chicken staff were in pyjamas and plate so hot it was straight off a stove please avoid this place
The food wasn't as good as last time I visited, was very disappointed. Rice tasted like it was from a microwave packet. Won't be going back any time soon.
Food was good, but the restaurant itself was very rundown for such a new building. Walking in to a weird storage place full of dirty chairs doesn't set the expectations high!
$20 all you can eat, poorly assembled nachos lean on topping only starter serving, then tacos 3 flavours, all served luke warm, very bland in the flavour, we have been to other 2 competition alway happy to go back.
Staff very friendly and knowledgeable however got sucked into purchasing 2 half price Margarita's but when paying the total with a 25% voucher off total bill they would not except it claiming that we had already received a discount on thei 2 drinks at $6.00 each. Food was average - never again!
Our food came out quickly and the staff service was lovely and professional. Will be returning soon
I hadn't been to a Taco Bill since the 90s and didn't love it then, but in a weaker moment I thought I'd give this new one a go. Turns out it hasn't really changed much since then.
The food is bland, the meat is weird and gluggy. It sat fairly uncomfortably in my stomach the rest of the night.
What surprises me is that with the range of newer Mexican chains out there like Fonda and Paco's Tacos who serve up vibrant, more contemporary fare for much the same price, Taco Bill has dug its heels in and refused to up its standards.
It's still rocking those cheap sombreros, oversized chalices of syrup masquerading as margarita, and dated uninspired menu.
It's not entirely Taco Bill's fault - mostly I blame myself.
Lovely staff, brilliant quality food (very fresh and lots of taste!) and presentation.
Will return again! Best Taco Bills in the area by far!:)
If I could give half a star, I would.
Waited 35mins for a pot of frozen slushy and had to walk up and ask what was going on. The waitress didn’t believe me and said it wasn’t in the computer so I would have to wait.
Our mains took 55mins to be served, but they served out sour cream and tortillas after only 35mins. By the time our mains came out, our tortillas were hard, our cheese had gone oily and started melting, and the waitress put her finger in my sour cream lol. She didn’t even apologise or offer to replace it!
Extremely poor service, poor time management, impolite staff and management that don’t really seem to have any formal management training lol.
My suggestion is, if you want taco bill, go to Lilydale! The service isn’t much better, but the food is always great, m and you never get left waiting.
Great new restaurant. Servings are big enough to satisfy a hungry hippo. Cant go without trying the number one favourite the Fajitas and for the beginners the La Combination is great. Tuesday & Wednesday are also a great night for the half price food. A bargain if I must say. Kids menu isn't full of junk its real food scaled down for the littlies. The staff were efficient, helpful and polite. They also have outside dinning with great a view. A must try.
