Tabac Bakery reviews
57This place is quite a rival to Bunbun and for a good reason! The tiger rolls are great and they have very good options. I like their veggie roll as a light snack but have been told their pork rolls with the crackling are quite yum!
From the freshly made tiger bread to the extra crackling they put on top, the roast pork roll is definitely a must try! Super fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors, there is a reason why these guys are rated so highly.
The best Bahn Mi's are at Tabac.
Tiger bread wins the day. Not that chewy garbage up the road overloaded with vinegar carrots.
Tabac is the real deal, Vietnamese Coffee is also excellent.
First visit: Bahn mi - the tiger bun itself is the best we have eaten, but if we're talking about the bahn mi sandwich, its a fail for us. Not enough meat.
Second visit: we bought 4 tiger roll to go yesterday, and we were given 2 tiger rolls, and 2 others we dont know. We asked them twice why the other 2 look different, and they insisted they're the same. Felt stooged. Not coming back anymore
I highly recommend this place. Regular customer for years. Never disappointed with the taste =) best pork roll aka banh mi ever in Melbourne
Easily the best pork roll I’ve ever eaten. A mate of mine recommended it as he occasionally works in the area. Super fast service, and honest perfect in every way. I got the crispy pork roll. My lord it’s good.
By far the best bahn mi in Melbourne. I've tried plenty of bahn mi places (including all of them in Springvale and Richmond) and Tabac is in another league.
Bahn mi was really yum, slightly more expensive than bun bun down the road, but I think they are trying to make a more gourmet style Bahn mi.
Great Tasty Crispy Pork Rolls. And great cold Vietnamese coffee. Been twice in one week. It gets quite busy. Staff friendly and nice. Bring cash in case eftpos machine is on the blink.
Highly recommend.
Bought a Beef Roll from here (through recommendation from a vietnamese co-worker) in the morning on the way to work, it was the best part of that work day. The ingredients tasted fresh and the bread crispy, the chilli was also just the right amount for my taste. Will be going again.
Whilst my fav was closed I gave this place a try. I was not dissapointed. Many times I have tried otger places looking for good bahn mi and often get dissapointed. This place was actually good. Up there in my top few. Tomato was an interesting addition to the bahn mi. I do think that the rolls could be filled just a little more, especially as their local competition is cheaper, nicer and fills more.
Mmm best banh mi in Springvale, my kids won't forgive me if we are in Springvale and I don't get this for lunch. To be fair, I do like Bun Bun as well and though their paté wins, overall Tabac is better - they make meatier, juicier, crunchier, saucier Bahn mi, and the tiger rolls are better too!
Best buns in town! The Crispy Pork is always great, and the tiger rolls are hard on the outside, soft on the inside, just like they should be!
One of the best banh mi in Melbourne!
The crispy yet light tiger rolls come loaded with your choice of meat (cold cuts, roast pork, chicken etc.), fresh herbs and vegetables topped off with their special made in house sauce and crunchy roasted pork crackling.
They also serve Viet ice coffee making it a convenient spot for a satisfying brekkie or lunch on the go. The service is prompt and owners are accommodating when selecting what you want in your banh mi catering to your personal taste preferences.
Every visit has always been consistently good. If you’re craving banh mi, Tabac is the place to go.
Been coming here since it first opened and barely had customers! Compared to back then and now Tabac has definitely gained a lot of supporters, but that only reflects the quality of their food and service! Honestly like everyone else says, one of the best and unique crispy pork rolls in Melbourne and the service is just excellent, also props to who I think is the oldest sister that works there she always serve customers with a smile, great enthusiasm and work ethic. All in all a must try if you're in Springvale, you only live once.better try it!
I use to get my banh mi from Bun Buns down the street but ever since Tabac open i haven’t been back since. You can’t go wrong with a crispy pork roll with tiger bread
