Sweet Salt

First time I've had fish and chips since being diagnosed as a Coeliac a year ago. So thankful to have a gluten free fish and chips option. Highly recommended.

I checked this place out for lunch the other day, and i wasn't disappointed. I got the fish and chips from the lunch menu for $11.80 and it was amazingly delicious.

The piece of fish was as long as my arm, with an amazing crispy batter, the chips were excellent, and the salad was light and tasty, with a very nice dressing

it was the only place for a few hundred metres along High St that wasn't Asian food or kebabs which i didn't feel like that day, and i was stoked that i found this little place as i wasn't familiar with the area.

Will definitely visit again.

Our GF dinner was DLish. The potato cakes were the best I've had in years and the veggie burger was fabulous. The staff were all friendly and happy and very helpful. Thank you for making an 8yr old with CD a very happy girl. We'll be recommending you to all who wish to listen. See you again soon.

Absolutely lovely setting- thanks for talking to my children and asking all of their million questions. Totally stress free gluten free.

Foods and variety always been good, pricing is fair, staff friendly and venue clean

Lost a point because none of the seats there have a backs to them. If you have any back issues just a heads up

I ordered the lunch pack - crumbed calamari with salad and chips. Such good quality and perfect portion for $11.90! On a Sunday as well.great service (I was going to order the calamari pack but one of the friendly staff recommended the lunch deal which I didn’t notice). Food was great, really fresh calamari and salad. Cooked perfectly. Definitely will come back.

I trued the soft shell crab sandwitch, the taste was great and the portion is bigbenough to fill you with the chips
The only negative thing was the chairs, it wasn't comfy at all

This place is certified gluten free by the Coeliac Society. They have all the regular fish and chip fare you would expect, plus some amazing gluten free extras such as GF onion rings, GF deep fried snickers bar, GF pineapple fritter, GF Potato cakes etc etc. As well as a full fish and chips menu they also have burgers- fish burger, KFC style chicken burger, beef burger etc, all gluten free. The food is great and they have a lunch special where you get chips and drink included with your meal! Love it

Warm and cosy interior, friendly staffs and amazing food. Had cool chick burger and it was so juicy and crispy! Highly reccomend. My friends had some gummy and they absolutely enjoyed it too.

As some one who has a gluten allergy, and other allergies. This place has always been so helpful and friendly with me. Unfortunately I don't always get that service any where else.
The food taste great and is reasonably priced. Will always make an effort to come here. Thankyou!

Absolutely love this burger joint! Excellent selection of unique burgers & fish packs -never disappoints. Staff always go the extra mile to ensure you get to taste a wide range of options. They are thorough, clean, always smiling and welcoming and absolute gems catering to my sometimes bizarre questions. The presentation of the meals is gorgeous & quirky. Cant believe it took me so long to try it, love It! You guys rock!

A little more pricey than your traditional fish and chip shop, but good quality and reasonably quick service. Not a bad place in the heart of Northcote.

Good deals before 5pm. Mostly under $10 for one piece of fish, chips and salad. But the service.hmm. We ordered takeaway today, 20th April. About 3 minutes after we ordered, another couple came in and ordered. Another 7 to 10 minutes passed, and the other couples order came out 4 to 5 minutes before ours. They ordered dine in fish, chips and salad. We ordered just chips and salad. One wonders. There were lots of delivery orders going out too. Perhaps they are looking after customers who pay more above others? Not impressed.

Delicious gluten free calamari, real squid not the fake ones that some places use. Chips were crispy and not oily at all. Staff were very attentive and prices were every reasonable. Would definitely go back.

I would rate this place higher as its good value for money the fish burger was good and only $5 beers however we also ordered fried dim sims my partner had both and I didn't have any, unfortunately my partner got really sick and I believe it was from them, so not a great end to a good lunch im afraid
