Sweet Salt

Fish was “ok”. Chips were cold, hard and inedible. Our drinks were given out to the wrong table and the owner still didn’t even notice until we told him when we were served an hr after ordering. Was a weird experience.

Bloody great tucker guys. Give this place a go for sure. They were so short staffed but kept super cool and everyone got their food. Barra was top notch. Chips and gravy ooh la la. Calamari delish. Give this place a crack guys

OMG amazing highly recommend this place. Delicious food with amazing service David at the front are so kind and helpful, and it is such a treat as a coeliac to have so many options!
It has been hard to find coeliac safe ones these days! So grateful to have an accessible option, I love it here!

Ducked in for a quick feed before a show on high street and was pleasantly surprised. David and the team were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had gluten free and vegetarians in our group and everyone had a great feed. The masterchef donuts were the cherry on top.

Service rated one star, not because of the staff, they were great.
It just wanted to order a burger without all the data collection.

Ate here once a year ago and it was pretty good despite being forced to order on a website, unfortunately this has enabled them to send out spam texts this morning to seemingly anyone who’s eaten there before - absolutely contemptuous!

I loved it at Sweet Salt from the moment we walked in the service was great! We were served with icy water with apple and orange which was super special and the. The choices of gluten free food was just so lovely! Such a change and I felt confident that it was safe! Thank you to everyone at Sweet Salt you are incredible

Firstly, what beautiful humans run this shop! Not only their presence welcomes you, although their food is amazing! This is not just a normal fish and chips shop, they make it with love and you can taste how good their food is! Try their sauces which are made by the owner, nom nom! They accommodate for all of your needs such as vegan, gluten free and more!

When my son in law told me it was a fish and shop restaurant! I was thinking this sounds interesting. I'm a coeliac and live in country NSW, so I was extra excited as I had heard about Sweet Salt being an accredited restaurant as well. We dined in, they were a little busy, staff working like crazy but David had so much time to make us feel welcome in all that busyness! Two staff hadn't turned up unfortunately. Amazingly the gorgeous food is cooked when ordered, best battered calamari, it's been years since I've eaten anything battered. The batter was so crisp and delicious. We asked for water with our meal and it came with fine ice and a lemon slice. Lovely touch. My daughter had a huge vegan hamburger meal. The bread was so soft, like should I be eating this type of bread! Thank you small team at Sweet Salt can't wait to visit again.

My family adore Sweet Salt so much. Dave and the staff are so “sweet” and friendly, and they’re so ok with our kid bopping around the shop which is great. Obviously the food is delicious and it’s so reassuring as a coeliac knowing our meals are safe to eat. They have a digital ordering system which is straightforward and they’re cool to modify the order if you forget to order suave like I did. Highly recommend, it’s always a real pleasure

Genuinely delicious coeliac-friendly fish and chips served by David and his fabulous team. They really care that their customers are happy and the dim sims are amazing! Big recommend for reliably great, coeliac-safe food with giant smiles.

Amazing food and great service. Very rare for us to find food for my coeliac son (tourists), so this was an absolute gem!
