Swagath Grand Glen Huntly

Ordered a very mild dal makhani and we found literally 7 to 8 pieces of large red chillies and it was super hot! We had to chuck it into bin as we couldn’t eat that…and to our surprise this is the second time this has happened!

Until now, i have ordered three times chicken 65 biryani, during first time I got a nice and tasty chicken 65 biryani but later in two orders, biryani was so dry and no flavour. I felt like they just mixed saffron rice with chicken 65 starter and then said chicken 65 biryani because of which it is very dry and there is no any flavour on rice. Hope they solve this soon!

What an absolute stinker! Had a simple order for 3 cheese Garlic naan pick up. Placed at 6pm Ready at 6: 20pm THIS LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WAS A LIE. Was told it would be 5mins after arriving but took another 40mins instead. Not sure if they were importing the naans from another country or waiting for the cheese to age. Heard them spinning yarns down the phone telling people they were busy inside so it’s a long wait. They weren’t even open for dining.

Anyway after taking them over an hour to give us 3 naans they were mediocre at best. No cheese, no garlic and no passion. Wouldn’t recommend. Give 1 star but if I could I’d give the naan.

I really want to give a negative feedback.
We order the food online and it didn’t came. And they didn’t called us or anything infact we called several times but no answer.
We were both working evening shifts so we ordered online but it never came. So disappointed

Last night we went to swagath grand indian restaurant in Glen Huntly, we ordered 2 chicken starter, we found FLY INSECT in chicken starter.
Irresponsible chef & kitchen staff.

Awesome biryanis, great menu overall. Just takes little more wait for the order to arrive, guess that's due to popularity.

Their attitude towards while receiving a feedback was quite poor. They explicitly said over phone that they make curries and sauces only twice a week max. Which means you get the few days old stock when you eat. Hopefully most of the restaurants do the same. We ordered Gobi 65 Biryani. Please do not order Gobi 65 Biriyani if you want it Mild. Spicy is their understanding of mild. Really really spicy! So watch out if you are placing this order.

Have ordered from this restaurant few times before and had some stomach upset too. Earlier I thought it was only due to the spicy sauce they use but now it’s making me to think of the old stock which they use might have caused me those food poisonings! BEWARE of the spicy and old stocks. Do not risk!

I ordered veg biryani and Dal Makhni. It was full of spices. Please control the amount of spices.

Pathetic chicken 65 biryani. I ordered mild but was given extra spicy. The staff is not ready to accept she took the order. And said she was not working when i ordered which is a complete lie. Had my guests and kids sleep hungry because we couldn't eat that spicy. Wouldn't recommend this place. Burnt kaju. This was left as we couldn't eat.its not the first time but ridiculously 4th time. I thought they would do better but no. Guys please taste the food before you leave for pickup. Otherwise you will feel sorry to waste your money here.

Worst indian restaurant in this area, Ordered dal nd roti last night which is most common md easiest indian food, nd still they unable to cook that properly. It was so so so salty like they purposely put salt in food just i was forced to bin the food after one bite, nd this is not first time I trusted them thrice with different food option md everytime got disappointed from them now i feel i was so dumb to trust them people please don’t waste money nd time on this restaurant there is so many good Indian restaurants around in this area.

Ordered take away, smelled good, however the taste was no way close to it. Ordered, paneer Tikka masala and mix veg corma and felt I was eating a out of packet food. I'll not trying this place again.

Have ordered a couple of times! Used to be great previously but really disappointed with what I was delivered for my last order… the garlic naan was 60% burnt and dry and the garlic paste was just slammed on top … butter chicken that tasted amazing before was nowhere near to good. Can clearly see that the taste and quality is declining.

Soups are meant for healthy option so ordered hot and sour veg soup but got the soup which is full of oil and chilies.

Highly disappointed.

Just ordered 2 jumbo biryanis and a family starter for two times in the same week…. Both the times chicken biryani got spoiled with 3 hrs from delivery…. And the people who ate it had fall sick with food poison… complained the restaurant and the response was disgusting as the manager was himself unresponsible even after sharing the proofs……. Ordered from many restaurants from the city but this never happened with any of them…… takeaway for parties from this restaurant is not recommended……… highly disappointed with the food and the response from them after knowing the reputation Swagath grand had got……. 1/5

Good Indian food at affordable prices. Samosa and Biryani are my personal favorites here. A star less as the curries can have too much gravy and less of meat or vegetables.

I found a piece of glass in the food and no resolution has been provided for that. Was swept under the rug.

Its better that they get 250 ml container for your curries.rather than filling half in 500ml container and making fool out of people by charging $10.95 for half container which makes a full container worth $21.90.or its better to make an option saying half/full curry that would at least make sense.

I only order biryani from here (Hyderabadi dum biryani and chicken 66). It tastes really amazing, has all the spices that a biryani must contain

The only con is that sometimes they run out of biryani.

I had to go Glen-waverly branch because Glen Huntly had no biryani

Good food and reasonably price…
I prefer the biryani if we need to get some for our friends and family.

Yesterday I ordered goat masala. All bones and 2 meat pieces. Don’t worth spending money. Only buying when I am very busy to cook. Quality not good. Sorry to say but increase quality please.
