Swagath Grand Glen Huntly reviews
87Worst restaurant I have tried in my life, they are serving old stock and when I order from uber eats, they pack the order uncooked food. DONT TRY THIS RESTAURANT I have oredered chicken 65 starter from uber eats they have given me with the white meat it was long back ago.
Good food.good cardamom tea. Friendly staff.one staff was special. (who opened the door when leaving handfull of food.)
Experienced a strange hospitality here, asked for extra onions in the comment section and they didn’t bother to confirm from us that why do we want extra onions when they have an onion dosa in the menu, they straightaway decided not to serve what we asked and when requested to change they refused that they won’t do it, and we should have ordered the one with onion.
Just to note for future customers: as specified by their staff the comment section on the ordering system is just to mention medium, mild or spicy
Disappointed
Front staff is so irresponsible if you order from phone and you there after 45 minutes they told you that it takes more 5 minutes but after 15 minutes they told oh sorry we have docket mistake and all this things and they take minimum 1 hours.
Worst samosa ever
It’s was too much oily and potatoes filling was smelling bad
Never ever go and waste
Hot & sour chicken soup: I loved it and will definitely have again on wintery rainy days like this.
Andhra chicken and butter naan: Below average taste. Not recommended. Something off about these dishes.
Gulab jamun and sweet pan: Just good.
NEVER ORDER TANDOORI DISHES FROM HERE! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL.
Ordered chicken tikka and it was tasteless, dry and stale. After telling the waitresses she brushed it off saying it’s the same in every restaurant. I’ve had much better chicken tikkas and it doesn’t taste like this for sure. They didn’t bother to replace it and get us a new one and charged us for the dish though we couldn’t eat it. No apology, no remorse. Disgusting.
Not picking up calls for orders and also closing kitchen 1.5 hrs early every weekend. What is the point of the timings if it is like this every single time? Not once or twice but common weekend scenario. Disappointing.
Have only ordered via doordash. Food has arrived quickly and still hot. My only disappointment is that the mild butter chicken was pretty spicy lol and the curry has a very overpowering taste of cardamom
Food is alright, but the management needs to work on themselves.
They don’t know what they are doing and they don’t accept dine in at 9pm because they don’t have chef to cook!
Good way to run a restaurant, where chef is taking orders.
Very slow…can’t able to manage.and can’t even able to handle…very disappointing…instead of coming into the restaurant…we can cook at home…waiting for briyani 25mins that is already cooked one is shit…. ️️
This place only focus on delivery companies food because they don’t want poor feedback from them, walk-in customers have to wait for their order for 40 minutes to an hour and they will keep saying 5 minutes and 5 minutes.
Even the food is below average.
Dine only open on weekends.
Some of the delivery people walks in with out face masks and helps themselves looking for the food/labels of their delivery sitting on common table.
Fancy place but very average food and service.
Very unprofessional staff and don’t even apologies once.
Will not recommend this place to anyone.
Second review: Taking my words back. I ordered one biryani and on call the lady who manages the counter said it will take 20mins. I waited for that amount of time as they specified it on call. Its 9.30pm and I still dont have Biryani with me.
I am not annoyed at the staff but the owner really needs to hire more staff in the kitchen. Waiting for an order for this long is not a great experience. I am a regular customer but I am gonna avoid ordering from here.
Worst experience ever, food is just tastless and has no flavour in it, upon asking they just replied that this is not india and they cannot expect something similar.definitely not recommend and there are better places out there which serve good food.
My boyfriend and I are Indian and Nepali.
Both of our cultural foods are rich in flavour and super delicious. Swagat not only brought back that home cooked meal nostalgia for my Nepali boyfriend who has come to study in Australia but also brought back beautiful memories of being back home in India for me. The authentic flavours and home cooked blends of masala was absolutely outstanding. We truely loved and enjoyed every little morsel. We he have eaten at many Desi restaurants before expensive and affordable. However this one is one of the if not THE best places We have both personally tried. Will be going back every single time to get a taste of home.

On Monday they wrote closing time at 11: 15.
When I entered to the restaurant at 10: 00 clock they Said no for dining as well as Takeaway.
Someone planning according to your closing time.
Really disappointed.
One of the best Indian restaurant I have ever been. Good food, good stuff, good interior design of restaurant. Definitely recommend it.
I ordered mutton biryani here but somehow how got ‘OIL BIRYANI’ instead. It was terrible experience.
Was told 20min for takeaway order. Came back and had to wait another 25mins. Can’t imagine the wait time when dine in is open. Curry does not have much chicken in it. Food was not worth the wait, will go elsewhere next time. Terrible service
I would give a zero star if possible, the girl over the counter is very sarcastic and has no customer service skills, we asked for samosa chat and they gave samosas with sev on top, upon asking that we were expecting samosa chat with chole in it, as it is a chat. She replied thats how they sell it and is happy to replace it. Which is understandable. But they charged me for both. And i paid for something which i dint not even eat. I would say they will rip you off if you dont ask for something. Worst place ever. Over priced and not worth it. Avoid this restaurant if you can
