I have been coming to this clinic for many years and have always had pleasant interactions with the lovely and helpful receptionists and doctors. Unfortunately, recently I attended an appointment with one of their female doctors and it was absolutely appalling. The experience was incredibly upsetting and humiliating. I came in with concerns regarding the contraceptive pill that I was prescribed. Instead of providing me with accurate information and reassuring me about a very common problem-she badgered me and asked me irrelevant questions and was incredibly judgmental and tried to make me feel as if I was inferior and irresponsible. She also told me that I probably had an STI even though it was on my record that I was tested and completely clear and clean. Furthermore, after such an appalling appointment I made another one with another female doctor at the clinic to get some actual answers and thankfully she was incredibly helpful and provided me with support and advice to my simple concerns.

Summit Medical Group prides itself on being a friendly, supportive family clinic, blah, blah yet they have doctors who are incredibly ignorant and judgmental.

The reception staff always give out sass as if you should already know exactly what appointments they have avaliable and the cost of them. My least favorite GP to call

Really disappointing, i took my daughter (3 year old) who was experiencing high fevers and chills all day. She was seen by Dr Prem who pretty much asked me three questions, Has she had diarrhea? Has she had a fever? Does she go to daycare? All answers were yes. He then said well in daycare they pick up a lot of bugs in particular gastro so that is what it is and told her to go home and stay hydrated. He did not check her ears, her throat or listen to her back. I was in and out within 5 minutes.
I was extremely frustrated because her fevers got worse and she started complaining about pain in her mouth and ears. The next day was unbearable for her so i took her to another doctor in Coburg Family Medical Center (Dr Reddy). He did all the proper checks and told me she had an ear infection and tonsillitis and put her on the course of antibiotics. She recovered within 3 days. I was so angry at Dr Prem - if I had known how bad he was i would have avoided that medical center with a plague. RACSGP need to do an audit on the quality of care given by their GPs because essentials like checking my daughters throat was missed! Very Angry Patient. Will put in a complaint to RACSGP!

Very very bad and horrible experience in this clinic with Dr Monica singh. Dr Monica singh is very bad doctor.i was sick so i went to this clinic. Dr Monica singh has written some blood test to do. Blood test including kidney test.i did all and then my result came Dr Monica checked all the test results and Dr Monica told me my kidneys are damaged to 60 % and she referred me to an endocrinologist and from that day till 2 months i was in shocked i was crying daily and i have gone in depression. Then after two months i got an appointment with the doctor in endocronologist centre. Doctor checked all my reports and the doctor write for blood tests and kidney test too. When the Doctor checked my results Dr was shocked to see my results. Doctor told me how your (GP) Dr Monica singh told you that your kidneys are damaged.your kidneys are 100% working you dont have any problems with the kidneys Your kidneys are not damaged.when i listen this with the doctor (endocrinologist) I felt very very good and relax. Never ever again i have gone to this summit medical clinic. Dr prem is also very rude Dr The way he talk is very rudely.

Very dissapointed with this place. I booked an appointment for a saturday, and after prepaying the fee before going in i explained to the doctor i had 2 issues to discuss. After a brief discussion about the first problem, i started to explain the second and was told that this would need a "long consultation" and would cost more. I had only been in there 10 minutes, and after arguing that i only needed a referral that was agreed on a previous visit, i got told i needed to pay more anyway, and that "good health costs". Avoid this clinic trying to rip off people in need at all costs.

Very well organised and friendly. Staff always lovely to deal with, and very organised (kids immunisation forms uploaded same day). Dr Prem always good, being aware of our situation and what has happened in previous consultations.

Terrible experience. I visited this clinic with a nasty rash that had broken out on my face over night. The doctor was unsure what it was so asked the owner of the clinic for a second opinion, who completely disregarded my symptoms and told me it was just acne.

I explained how I definitely did not think it was acne as it was extremely itchy and has spread to my shoulder plus the glands in my throat felt very swollen, his words very rudely were "well it looks like acne so treat it like acne" and prescribed me an antibiotic for acne which has nasty side effects. The original doctor I saw after he had left the room even noted how it was weird that he had concluded to acne but insisted to trust his opinion as he had been a GP longer than her?

When I went to the pharmacy I asked for their opinion they told me it was definitely NOT acne and could be shingles and to see another doctor ASAP. I made another appointment to see another doctor who also confirmed my thoughts that this was not acne and instead a reaction of urticaria and prescribed me with topical steroid creams which is now clearing the rash and calmed my symptoms - she also could feel the swelling of my glands in which the other doctor told me were also fine and not swollen.

The doctors at Summit are very negligent. Definitely won't be coming back here.

We are in our 50s and one of the best decisions we have made was to make Summit Medical our family doctors.
The clinic and the rooms are very clean and organised. They have all the medical facilities that might be needed. They have both female and male doctors depending on your preference.
Doctors see you at the appointed time.
Most importantly Dr Prem is very knowledgeable, and picked up on my symptoms straight away and made the right decisions in recommending me for surgery. There was no mucking around and now I have recovered to full health! Dr Prem does not mess around and tells you exactly as it is!
We always feel relieved after a visit as the doctors are very good at assessing your symptoms and recommending the appropriate medical treatment.
They have Nurses if required. There are a number of times where I have just gone to the clinic to get the help of nurses. They also do flu shots at a very reasonable price. Oh, and I also had a hearing test done. Also, blood tests are done on the premises and they also have a dentist! A one stop-shop really.
The doctors will refer you for specialist care when required.
All the staff are friendly and make you feel at ease.
The beauty is that this is bulked billed (except Saturdays-check the website)!
It is a reputable clinic with a close connection with major hospitals such as Royal Melbourne Hospital and near-by Joh Fawkner.
I would highly recommend Summit Medical Group. We feel like we can trust Summit as our family GP and if we have a need to attend hospital we list Summit as our family GP (for me it is Dr Prem).

I did regularly see a Dr here.
Very poorly informed Medical receptionist.
While asking if there was a Dr is registered to prescribe PreP (pre-exposure prophylaxis)
A medication which protects you from contracting HIV (which is on the PBS)
I was treated as a drug addict as the girl didn't know what the drug was, (I explained)
She asked if it was for an addiction. I said no,
She explained it says on the waiting room wall that they cannot talk about this and therefore.
Was no help what so ever
Absolutely ridiculous!
Maybe your Dr's shouldn't be registered to prescribe this medication if you don't know what it is.

9 times out 10 The service is great I mostly go once a year to get a referral for my physiatrist however i recently had to have a medical form for my dsp filled out FYI I have cerebral palsy
I got hard copy evidence the doctor I got looked at this paper work and told me it was too old and referred to the neurologist at Royal Melbourne a week after my appointment I got a letter saying your classes as non urgent see you in 12 months went to Centrelink appointment full of fear and shame I got told by Centrelink to get the doctors up the road (summit) to fill out my form I told them what happened and they said to find another doctor which I did I got told they just needed evidence I have cerebral palsy I took them the same documents and they filled out my form in 2 minutes so it kinda made me wonder why the doctor couldn’t or wouldn’t fill out my form
Other than that one experience summit is fine

Dr. Prem and Dr. Maneesha are very good. Never had a problem with either. Mark the nurse was friendly and professional. Same with the female nurse.

I've seen many different doctors at Summit, and they've all been wonderful! Professional, empathetic, and attentive. Same goes for the nurses, Natalie and Mark, and reception staff. Always an effortless experience.

Avoid this clinic
I’ve been to this clinic on and off over the years. Decided to go this evening and got an appointment with Dr Prem, the sole owner of the clinic.
I feel Dr Prem has terrible communication skills and is trying to fit as many patients in as po$$ible.
I won’t go into what happend, but I reckon my dog gets better treatment at the vet. I ended up walking out of the appointment.

This Dr needs to learn to explain to patients what he would like them to do, rather than bark orders at them. Particularly if you are going to touch a patient. The whole appointment was rather uncomfortable and made me feel that real power imbalance between Doctor and patient.

Also, had a serious issue a few years back which was dismissed by a young GP from this clinic at the time. Ending up going to my regular GP at West Brunswick Clinic who diagnosed the issue, which resulted in needing surgery.
There are heaps of bulk billing GPs in Brunswick, look elsewhere.

Horrible owners!
I worked there briefly as the dont pay their staff the correct wage. Their own staff have reported this business and the owners to Fairwork. Its slave labour for the lowest level of award rate. They rip patients off by charging them a cancellation fee after the 3rd time of they haven given over 2 hours notice. They all talk bad about each other in there. I was asked by other staff to see my contract cause they have been getting under paid for over 8 years then they got rid of me. They actually did me a favour. Horrible place there are better clinics around that actually care about their patients and not the money.

Receptionists are very polite and friendly. Their text message reminder service great as I have bad memory. Dr Monica Singh and Mark the nurse provided great care and thorough with their assessments. Great team and I don’t have any complains about this medical centre. I highly recommend them to anyone living in Brunswick.

I felt they were rude and judgemental and I was made to feel that my medical issues were unimportant.

I must have been unlucky the few times that I went. I'm sure there are nice doctors there, otherwise the place would be closed by now.

The medical part was sound, but the bedside manners were frankly deplorable. Thankfully I found some awesome Dr's elsewhere.

Time wasters. The webpage is clear about direct billing to Allianz insurance, but they charge $70 or more depending on the doctor.
