My first time at Sui Salon Russell and I'm very satisfied with my haircut and straightening. Kudos to Director Catherine! She did a wonderful job with details, cares, and giving good advice to her customer. Definitely will go back and once again thank you Catherine + Sui Salon Russell.

I have been having my hair done at Sui in the last 2-3 years, I would say the experience is always joyful. Great service with a very reasonable price.especially with my short hair, I pretty much get my hair cut done every 2 weeks, the service is always outstanding & consistent. Also, another reason I have been following Sui is whenever I brought up an idea, my hairdresser (Jay) always can deliver the result exactly as what I expected. Sui is the Salon definitely I will recommend to my families & friends.

I am a regular customer at Sui and my go to hair stylist is Sora. I really like her as she understands what I need and does very good haircut.

Worst hair cut in Melbourne
My hair dresser is Sora, she is director who is not worthy that.

First, bad skill.she didn’t have any idea handle my layers to give my hair volume, but I used to cut hair in sui Melbourne center, a hairdresser called Jeff, he can handle that and give me discount, but he back to hometown.

Then, bad customer service.
She even didn’t style my hair and give it caring blow dry, totally spend 10mins in my whole hair cut process, Very well perfunctory

Similar to 20 dollars hairdresser not 66 dollars.

I will never come back to Sui ever again after I have been waited 40 minutes for my booking. The isolation made me angry, no water, no greeting and no “sorry”. So I decided to leave. I was one of the regulars of Sui, I think you guys should take this problem seriously, and the customers deserve to be treated with good service.

Jay was extremely thorough when we were working out what I wanted to get done, and he explained every step he was doing (baby-highlights, root shadow, dye, treatment, cut, wash and styling). I felt very comfortable through the whole process. I love the results of my hair and have already recommended Jay and Sui Russell to my friends.

Asked for undercut hairstyle that is long enough to comb back with a side parting. Hairdresser started off well then probably cut it too short and spent more time trying to rectify the problem. So my hair is awkwardly short especially for the fringe. More like a spiky top instead without any side parting.

She then proceeded to say i should grow out my fringe longer so it wont look so weird (I have not cut my hair for 5 months since lockdown so my fringe was about 12-13 cm. It is now 4-5cm, so why did she cut it off and tell me to grow it back out again when she couldve cut it at a proper length?)

Also, the gradient of my fade at the sides were not equal with minor patches. She tried fixing it but ended up cutting more and more and more.

Ive heard about the popularity of SUI in melbourne. But i guess not all the hairdressers have proper standard. I guess thats why her slots are mostly empty.

Do not recommend.

Gr8 haircut. Julliette is wonderful, so skilled and does what you ask. Hard to find gr8 service, very good staff.

Warm atmosphere and friendly staff who listen carefully to requests and demonstrate high skill levels. Very good value, also.

I usually go to this place for a haircut. It used to have great hairdressers but my last visit was a disaster! I will never go back there. One of the girls managed to cut my hair leaving left side longer than the right! I don’t know what kind of a hairdresser does that! Plus she forgot to cut a few strands of my hair. She was worse than a beginner!

Extremely bad service. My hairdresser went to cut other customer's hair when she was halfway cutting my hair. I am paying a premium price for bad service. Very disappointed.

Staff were welcoming and friendly, which is the only reason I gave two stars. Told when arrived that I'd have to wait half hour. Many staff just stood around doing nothing, chatting away. So confused why I couldn't be seen straight away. Girl cutting my hair barely spoke English, so trying to explain what I wanted wasn't going down well. She cut my hair and I could barely watch. Never seen a hairdresser cut hair like that before. She asked after cutting my hair where my parting was, which should always be the first question when you sit in the chair. She just seemed to be cutting it in random places. This has left me with an uneven haircut, with random bits chopped off that don't match my hair length. The blow-dry was also like one I've never had before, and just left me with frizzy hair, all over the place. Had to tie my hair up and wear a hat once I left the salon because it looked that bad. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Had a happy and satisfied haircut with Emma today she’s so cute and caring, understands what I want when I showed her some style in the pictures. Staffs are friendly here. (To be fair, even they’re mostly Korean but their English is communicable) Would definitely make this place (very convenient location and reasonable price) my regular salon! (I don’t trust strangers haha)

Friendly staff, and reasonable price for a nice and simple haircut. Tried their spa today, which was really nice and relaxing.
