Story House Early Learning Black Rock

We have been part of the Story House family for nearly 3 years. All the educators over this time have been fabulous. We would definitely recommend this centre.

I have had two children enrolled in the centre now for almost 4 years and can confidently say that the current management team and the staff provide exceptional, organised and professional care. In the past there has been at times inconsistent leadership and management but luckily it has lead us to the current centre director Bell who is exceptional.

My three children have all attended Storyhouse Black Rock at some point over the last five years and whilst there have been some challenges during changes in management, the current centre manager Bell is extremely efficient and professional. She has fostered a very engaging, nurturing and caring environment with a team of fantastic long-standing educators. I couldn’t recommend the centre highly enough.

Both of my children have attended Storyhouse from the nursery right through to the pre-kinder room and I can honestly say are better humans as a result. The staff are like family to us and there is a genuine passion and care from each and every one of them. Netty, Kate, Ralle, and Jess go above and beyond in their roles to ensure all children are deeply cared for and their individual needs are met. Each of these remarkable women bring a different strength and purpose to the centre, creating a well-balanced and nurturing environment. Margaritas wonderful culinary skills in the kitchen match her gorgeous sunny disposition. A very well organised centre run by the super organised and insightful Belinda. We could not be happier with Storyhouse. Highly Recommend! Xx

From the age of 3 months our little boy has always had amazing care at Black Rock Story House. The play and activities have perfectly nurtured his development. He loves his tribe of friends here (both carers and peers!). Staff have listened to his/our needs, and behaviours including sleep, self settling, manners, and routine have been finessed. He is an amazing eater at storyhouse lunch and I am so happy he is now even eating salad at home!

Our child has been in this daycare for a month now and the staff have been courteous, professional and have kept us up to date with his progress. Being a first time mum, I was quite emotional leaving him for the first time. But the team have completely put me at ease. They have been nothing but supportive and caring. And my son loves going there. I know that he is being well taken care of.

I absolutely love Black Rock Story House and all the staff members are amazing. My child is so happy and excited to get to school every morning, we always greeted by the happy staff and an amazing smelling kitchen. I would strongly recommend Black Rock, Story House.

My two children both attend Story House Black Rock, one in the Nursery and the other in the Kinder room. All of the staff have a genuine passion and care for what they do, which is such great comfort in knowing that my two kids are both well looked after. I love reading all of the updates of valuable life lessons the kinder children are taught by Jessica, providing them with great moral grounding. I was nervous sending my son during COVID as he has never left my side, but Narelle in the nursery is warm and caring and he attached to her immediately. Bell is a very hands on manager and always ensures things run smoothly. Would highly recommend!

We love story house ELC, our daughter has been here since she was 11months and our other daughter will join soon too. They take the time to get to know your child and make me feel so comfortable leaving her. Staff have lots of experience in early childhood education.

My daughter recently started at this child care. Amazing staff, very supportive and caring. Very friendly environment overall.

Our 8month baby girl started at Story House Black Rock a few weeks ago and I am so happy with our choice of Daycare. Bell and her team are amazing. Narelle who runs the nursery is so incredible with the babies. The entire team really seem to care and go out of their way to make sure the families and kids are comfortable and happy. The support and communication has been excellent and after a bit of separation anxiety my daughter seems to be really enjoying herself here. Highly recommend.

The centre is safe, organised, spacious, fun and clean. The daily communication is lovely too!

The centre has such a lovely feel to it; friendly smiles and warm welcomes. Being a first time mum and leaving my child in care first time was so overwhelming but the room staff and manager kept my nerves at bay and what a wonderful experience it has been. Thank you so much!

Since Story House have taken over, I have seen dramatic improvement in the centre and its people. The staff are nurturing and welcoming, management is now very reliable and professional and my child is settled, happy and loves spending his days here. Great centre!

I have had a few experiences with story house and they have all been great. The director who answered my phone call was very helpful, addressed all my questions, and clearly had a great deal of experience. They have a great deal of resources for developmental learning which is important. Highly recommended!

I have been using this service for four years and couldn’t be happier. The staff have been very compassionate and nurturing. If I have had any issues the director has been quick and efficient to solve these for me. A friendly and welcoming centre.

Called a few times, either no answer or a staff member answering not knowing the answer to my question. Note- don’t answer the phone if you don’t know your work. Details taken, but no follow up. Have heard from others that the director is not right for the job, very inexperienced. Happily enrolled somewhere else. Long story short.not worth it

Since a company takeover in December of last year nine professional and passionate staff have left their employment with "Storyhouse". (Black rock). The resources for the Childrens developmental learning through play are sparse to say the least.l would recommend that you bypass this centre.

I have enquired by phone a few times and have been met with "I don't know, I will call you back " no phone call back as they never took my number. I then spoke to someone who said they were the director, but she sounded inexperienced and didn't seem be listening and ignored my questions. I have now successfully enrolled my child into Bambini childcare. I believe we have dodged a bullet judging by the review above.
