Steam Packet Hotel reviews
49I had the Parma and changed from chips and salad to vegetables. Broccoli carrots and cauliflower no potato and was not informed that the price would increase $4 what a ripoff. Surely chips and salad would equate to a few vegetables. Lost us sorry
Absolutely fabulous pub and the food is so good and great price, cannot recommend more. They also have some good bands that play on the weekend which I love. Great for kids too. Must Try.
Food was brilliant and reasonably priced. Service was great as well. Definitely my go to pub when visiting Williamstown.
Yep prices are on the higher side for a local corner pub but their fish and seafood is ALWAYS perfection. Took my partner for the first time in June for his birthday, mussels were amazing and I am fussy! He took me tonight for my birthday. I was dead set on trying the paella but the wild barra special got me hooked. Both being fish and seafood lovers we share one of each. Only two servers and got full and they did amazing! Yep there can be a wait on meals but it's because it isn't sitting there on heat so worth it. Thanks team.
Very solid local pub in Williamstown.
Came here twice recently, once to watch the Fifa World Cup and the other for a pub meal.
Parmas all round for the pub meal and they really hit the spot with good quality and size chicken as well as decent sides.
Nice atmosphere of the venue with a mix of locals and others. Only negative point was a group of Lads in the dining room where one was very drunk, rowdy and spilling his drink everywhere whilst he ate his food. RSA could definitely have been better in that case, especially as families were around and not a good sight for the kids to see.
Amazing Chicken Parma! 100/100 stars and also they have an amazing selection of beer. Great place to hang out with friends. Amazing chefs!
At $24 for fish and chips I think it was expensive. It looks like a kids meal. The Guinness use to be ok but now it's flat and horrible.
My partner and I both ordered medium rare porterhouse, this is what we got, well done rubbery steaks.
On positive note the mash is very tasty.
Typical hotel, food and drink variety aren't too bad. A bit shame on the lack of table service and bad room layout, Hard to hear live music if not right in front of the singer
As a tourist this spot is a beauty.just around the corner from the main strip, & apparently it's haunted. Such a cosy good ole fashioned pub. It has been done up but still holds classic appeal. Yet to eat, but nice selection of craft beer etc
I dig this joint. Warm, inviting, friendly atmosphere.easy to see why it does well on a Friday night. Cheers!
Had a meal here and it was a nice, cosy spot for a winter dinner. Portions were small though and didn't reflect on price, which was up there on the pub meal scale. Quality was also slightly under expected. Service and tap beers were quite good. May or may not go back.
Ready for Winter the Packet have a fabulous house made Guinness pie and mash
10/10 for flavour, texture and umami
Look I would probably come back because it was a mixed bag. The first lady that served me was friendly, nice and courteous. The runner was nice also. The 2nd lady that served me wasn't rude but didn't really engage.
The food - Absolutely delicious could not fault it. The problem was it took an hour to arrive. Didn't notice because too busy chatting but if it's going to take a long time please let us know. Thanks.
Good selection of beers on tap, odd that's I can't get a selection of steak house fries at 16: 40 but all ok. Particularly enjoyed the young couple dealing with the resident friendly drunk. And not having to converse with him. Ahhg
Ok place for a dinner, not over priced but not as good as home cooking. At least I got a break from cooking and washing.
Popped in for a coldie on our walk Easter Saturday
The beer and wine were reasonably priced.
Went here for lunch and had a nice spot outside. Nice pub and a good atmosphere. Prices for food and drinks were reasonable and quality was good as well. Decent pub grub.
This place was okay. The food was not inexpensive, the serves were pretty small and overall my curry was a bit of a disappointment. The meat was tough and should have been cooked for much longer; seemed a bit amateurish. Certainly a popular place and the dance floor was jumping to tunes from a live DJ by the time we left, so it scores a few points there.
Really friendly, very cosy, lovely food and warm welcoming service. Lovely location too. Well worth the trip out of the city to enjoy the beautiful views. Lovely selection of wines to complement the diverse menu too.
