St Kilda Superclinic reviews
89Nola is the rudest, unprofessional and unaccommodating staff member at Super Clinic in St Kilda. I don’t know why she is in customer service. It can be difficult to see the doctor and Nola went out of her way to make sure the experience was an even more stressful and anxious one. No empathy, sympathy or compassion. Disgraceful.
Worst front staff I’ve ever come to contact with; lazy, unprofessional & nonchalant! I’ve experience this conduct on several occasions. I’m not sure who’s responsible for hiring these people, bad reflection on practise! At your own risk!
Anne- the receptionist is exceptionally rude and unprofessional! I was appalled at her manner. I called to check if my test results were in, waiting on results about your health can cause a great deal of anxiety, a simple yes/no/we will call you back is an answer that would suffice. However, Anne was rude and made me feel like I was out of line called and asking such a thing. As she said "she is just a receptionist - you will have to wait. " For a phone call that takes less than a minute of her time, you would think she would have compassion and empathy for how the patient might be feeling, maybe she needs to reconsider her profession if something so simple irritates her to such a degree. As an ongoing patient of the St Kilda Superclinic for the past 7 years, I have never been treated in such a disgraceful way. The staff are normally friendly and accomodating.
I came in to get my blood taken which is an experience i always hate as it makes me very nervous but i was greeted by nurse Bree who's friendly smile put me at ease straight away and then was very pleased to know she would also be doing my treatment aswell before getting to the room i noticed how clean the clinic was and then once in the room Bree spoke to me the entire time just making conversation about anything and before i knew it my bloods were done and i didn't even realise! I was so impressed and it was the best experience i have ever had she was also very knowledgable in every question i asked, will defiantly be back!
My opinion of this clinic has changed. I haven't had a doctor who seemed like they cared about doing a good job in about 30 years.
Dr Aoife Doran is a star and will change your mind about this historically terrible clinic.
Do not go here!
this place is a joke, they don't call back when u leave a message. They don’t call when you have a telephone appointment. Good luck trying to get a care plan, I tried for two weeks before i gave up.
I went to another bulk bill and in 3 mins had my care plan.
I think st kilda superclinic must be going broke, theres no staff and hardly any doctors.
Doctors and nurses are very nice. But they are just too slow. Have to wait at least 30 min every time. There is only 1 hour free parking and I have to pay every time because a 15 min appointment always takes more than 1 hour. Frustrating.
The receptionist at this clinic is extremely rude.
I made a appointment as a new client and was told that I need photo Id and a Medicare card unfortunately I couldn’t find my photo ID so called back to let the receptionist know.
She said I can not come in for my appointment I the explained that I have my birth certificate and other forms of ID to prove my identity.
Unfortunately this wasn’t good enough.
When I asked her what should I do as I need to see the doctor she said in a snarky way maybe go to the hospital. I then asked for her name she refused to let me know and then started arguing with me for asking.
I would expect a little courteous/professional behaviour from a medical receptionist especially when being the face of the clinic.
There used to be some good GPs here a few years ago but most have now left.
With the current management, the focus seems to be more on cohercing patients into agreeing to un-necessary services in order to increase the income made by the clinic from medicare billings.
There is just not enough integrity and not enough care for the patients.a shame really.
Experience with Dr Y W Tham was very disappointing. Initially appeared friendly and caring. Following sessions, turned overbearing and arrogant.
P/S - That occurred before 2019. Good to hear he's not there anymore. All the better for the patients.
A traumatic experience! I paid $70 for an appointment and only simple feedback from the doctor “You have shingles. ” The doctor said I was too late to have antiviral medicine treatment (missed the 72 hours treatment time). So I asked the doctor what else can help me get through the time because I’m in extreme pain and could not sleep at night. The doctor’s answer is “No, nothing can help you, go home and take rest. ” The doctor didn’t give me anything to help manage the condition and didn’t seem to care how much pain I was in. The doctor did not seem to care about patients at all, just want you to leave so he can see the next patient.
Speaking through a locked door, refused entry to my partner after she disclosed she has a disability of a bladder condition and needed to urgently use the bathroom. Female receptionist working 4/01/2020 at 20: 05hrs - was cold and dismissive and wouldn’t speak to us directly.
Repeatedly atrocious, negligent treatment. It is amazing this place is still open. I would imagine the largely vulnerable client base is the reason there is not or has been much litigation against this clinic. The medical practitioners I have experienced of late are genuinely worthy of deregistration. The front staff would not be employed by any other employer and for good reason. It really is an absolute last resort, ongoing prescription only, practise. The medical practitioners' registration entity is tardy in not investigating & sanctioning this establishment's practitioners.
2 Stars because my experiences thus far at this clinic have been pleasant, reception staff courteous, nurses polite and overall the doctors I have seen have been professional, except for today, when dealing with a stephanie pett, who insisted, very emphatically, to the point of condescension that he knew what I needed, better than I did, and when I disagreed with his assessment he asked me to leave and and never come back to the clinic. Laughable. He’s likely been watching too many dan andrews press conferences. Patients come in knowing exactly what they want checked out and if you are unwilling to accommodate the patient’s request based on your pseudo-scientific theories, you should open your own practice instead of tarnishing the reputation of another. A very surly and feisty queen, who quite frankly seems over it. If he doesn’t like his job or consulting certain ethnicities, he should quit and become a botanist.
I've lived in St Kilda for over 13 years and have witnessed a demise in GPs at St Kilda Superclinic. The reception staff are always courteous and helpful. I've tried multiple GPs recently and there's a lack of beside manner; no empathy or lack of listening to your health concerns. It feels like you are being rushed out the door. Being a bulk billed medical centre it's great if all you are after is a medical certificate, but if you have health concerns where you are wanting sound advice, then head to a private practice and find a GP that 'gets' and understands you.
Could Not be happier with St Kilda SuperClinic
They not only are amazing but Cater for all different areas in the medical, dermatology, mental health and children's health areas, Thank you to you all
I go to this clinic and thoroughly enjoy the effectiveness, however today clarified to me that Dr James Young is a rude, cold and incredibly inconsiderate man. The first time my husband and I put his appalling demeanour down to him probably having a bad day, yet today proved that theory wrong.
If you are a gay man I’d strongly suggest telling reception upon booking an appointment that you do not want to be seen by him.
Up untill now I would say I've had an ok experience. Not very happy tonight with the service I called up before closing time and tryingbook appointment in a bit of pain and discomfort and the girl "Chloe" on reception was so rude
Good for medical certificates when you call in sick and that's about it.
Wasting your time if you're coming here for an actual health issues.
Doctors run late so be prepared to wait 30+ mins and they try to get you out asap
Deal with these people if you need a referral of prescription, if you have serious problems go elsewhere. Ive received some horrendous advice from these doctors in the past. You'd find better medical advice at a circus.
