STAY AWAY. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Spent $4500 on radio set up. Hasn’t worked properly ever. I live 2 hours away. Tried to bring it in on a day I had off. Called first. Rudely told they can’t look at it today - to call back Monday to make an appointment. I was treated and spoken to like garbage and am expected to take more time off work when it suits THEM. Expensive and terrible service and equipment. STAY AWAY.

Brilliant people to deal with the young Technician who did my car was super helpful when explaing how it all works.
And if Hayley hadn't been watching I would have got away with that gorgeous dog.

Droppped some leads off for splicing and plugs. Was given a call back a couple days later by Hayley (the brains of the operation!) that my gear was ready for pickup. Charged me a great rate and it was a quality job.

SSV staff were very effective, fast and friendly and they also provide me with details regarding other areas of the car taking time out of there day which is very appreciated very recommended towards anything to do with sound and vision with your car they are the place to go to.

My Dashcam stopped working. It's about three years old. I bought the car back to SSV to have the issue looked at. Fixed in 30 minutes. Not only that, but because I had SSV install it three years ago, they sorted the issue free of charge! They even helped me upgrade the camera's firmware while I was there. Brilliant customer service. Thanks SSV.

Excellent service from old mate Nick, I walked in and told him what car I had and what I wanted, and 2 minutes later every thing I needed was sitting on the counter. And everything fitted and worked perfectly. Definitely worth the 3 hour drive from NSW to get great service.

Very helpful fellas here at SSV thomastown, they will spend time with you and cater to your needs rather than what they want to sell. No need to go anywhere else.

Product works perfectly and the installation was done so well it looks as if it comes stock with the car. I was misquoted $300 less than what I was meant to pay, but instead of calling and letting me know that I need to pay more last minute, they handled the cost themselves. Excellent service, would recommend to anyone.

Don’t go here! Rodney the short man with a short fuse is arrogant and will never help. Not only him but the rest of his employees are useless. The two women behind the counter wouldn’t even know what day of the week it is let alone what products they have in store. Please don’t waste your time going in here go to super cheap auto or auto barn where you will actually get help thank you

Nick's a champion, had the civic subbed up, somehow got me in before Xmas for the install and I couldn't be happier.

Do not shop here! There’s many other car audio places much more deserving of your money!

I spent over 2k on speakers for my BT50. When I was unable to have them installed before my move to QLD I took them back for a refund. After doing so I learnt about a 10% restocking fee that is a policy nowhere to be seen inside the physical store.

Shoddy bunch of unhelpful people lacking any honour! Take your hard earned elsewhere

Very poor customer service only interested in money. Will not look after you if you're not getting the gear fitted by them.

Suggest anybody looking to update their car sound shop elsewhere. Would give no stars if I could.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS! (please read this for your own good) RODNEY IS NOT SOMEONE WHO DESERVES TO OWN A BUSINESS NOR BE ALLOWED TO VERBALLY ABUSE CUSTOMERS.

I give them. 000000 non-existent stars! Once they take your money ($2,000 in my case) NO AFTER CARE SERVICE & lied that they did an update when nothing was actually done, wasted hours of my time.
All staff are beyond rude, not helpful, don't know how to treat customers with respect & actually verbally been abused by the short man, who is the owner himself. I will be taking matters further.

AGAIN DO NOT EVEN THINK TWICE, this business should be shut down effectively asap. See 'Mark Kalalo' review for exact same after care product treatment. This little owner who's too big for his shoes needs to learn some professionalism if he thinks he can run a business.

Bit of a mixed review, took my car in for a quote on re vamping my existing car audio system. I'm really into my personal/ home audio with around $20,000 invested in that. So I went to this store with a money no object give me your best solution approach.

The sales person who helped me (which based on other reviews sounds like the owner) took the time to help me, and definitely knew his products and the industry.

I got a paper written quote with the parts and provided all my details to receive an actual official quote (which I would need as I'll be claiming this as a business related expense)

The problem I have is I never received any quote or follow up. I don't believe in having to chase up a business to give them my money. You would have thought in covid times like these where businesses are struggling they would be jumping at the bit to try and secure $6-7k in sales

2 stars are for the assistance and help I got when I came to the store. You lost the other 3 because you didn't follow through with doing what you said you would which was providing a quote and calling me, which ultimately has lead to me taking my business elsewhere

Great advice from the boys at SSV Thomastown regarding the Alpine product I wanted. Their install was neat, tidy and really quick. They even gave me a run down on how my head unit worked when I went to pick up my truck. Great job
