Went out to celebrate my brothers birthday and had food spilled on him by the waitress (which can happen) and the staff apologised and promised to apply a discount for the meal. When we left we found they had not applied anything! Deceitful staff and poor service!

My family have been eating here for a few years now and we have enjoyed the experience on each visit. Great service, friendly staff and magnificent food

Booking issue. Not our problem, took time to sort. Food great as usual. Order messed up due to inattentive staff member. Quite expensive. So: food great, facility and ambience fine, experience due to general lack of care from staff, poor.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Squires Loft in Nunawading and it was a very uncomfortable experience. The air conditioning was blowing directly above us and was so cold that it was unbearable to sit through a meal. I politely asked the staff to adjust the temperature, but instead of accommodating my request, I was met with rude and dismissive behavior. If I could have left the restaurant I would have, but because we were part of a larger group celebrating it was not feasible.

It's incredible that a establishment could be so inconsiderate and lacking in basic customer service. All I wanted was a comfortable dining experience. The lack of consideration for their patrons is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. The request was to not to turn off the air conditioner, but to simply adjust the swing to not blow directly on top of us. The managers response was arrogant and rude, and I responded accordingly to that attitude which was not pleasant for the atmosphere of our large group. The excuse we received was that the "boss does not want us to adjust the air conditioner", let alone when she threatened to kick me out because I asked her to just leave us be and remove herself from the discussion as she was obviously combative and was not going to accommodate to our request. This shows she is on a power trip with a complex.
When the meal arrived, it became unpleasantly cold very quickly and took away from the experience of enjoying a good meal.
In conclusion, I would not recommend Squires Loft Nunawading to anyone. It's a shame that they can't seem to understand the importance of a comfortable environment for their customers. I will never be returning to this establishment.

Scotch fillet was cooked well (medium rare), but no denying the quality of the meat has declined. A lot of inedible fat and meat was tough and chewy - which was really disappointing. Our starter (pork rib rack) was still delicious. Still a noisy venue which can be frustrating.

Horrible. Sat down at 6.30pm to be told we had to be out at 8pm (which was fine) but the food didn't arrive until 7.35pm. Within the next 5 minutes we were reminded twice to be out by 8pm. When we raised with the staff the food took a very long time to arrive they implied we were slow to order and it was some how our fault (which we weren't and it wasn't). Steak was ordered as medium rare but arrived over cooked and tough. We are regular customers but we certainly won't be going back and will find another place to catch up. Front of house staff member had a poor and condescending attitude.

A pretty quiet place on a weekday. Food is good although it was a bit burnt. Nice place for gathering with friends for chit chat

Ordered Calamari, dreadful so salty it was ridiculous. Plate piled with chips which I didn't eat one. Very ordinary.

Terrible service. We arrived just a little after our booked time (6.30), ordered our drinks, then around 7.00 ordered our food. Our food arrived at 7.35, and at 7.45 we were told they need our table, and we have to be out by 8.00.very poor.

Tried Squires Loft again recently after having a less than perfect experience quite a few years ago.

All-in-all - A really good value and quality steak meal, cooked extremely competently. Meat was very good, sausage entree was different, being a large German style sausage, but certainly very tasty and generous. Black Pepper sauce was a disappointment - creamy blah with no bite or guts. Added nothing to the steak and was akin to a supermarket gravy mix.

Staff were very accommodating and professional.

Constructive criticism.

I was initially seated out in the open right near the front door. I was nearly blown off my chair the first time the door opened. The reception lady kindly relocated us, so I can't fault the response.

I also found though that the restaurant distinctly lacks ambience as it is so cafeteria like, with everyone just slotted into a vast sea of tables like sheep in a sheep-pen. Certainly not a venue worthy of a romantic or intimate meal.

The business model is 'chain restaurant' does 5 Star steak. Low on genuine personality and charm, BUT I couldn't really fault the food. So if you don't mind 2.5 stars for atmosphere and amenity, the rest is excellent. I've given them 5 Stars as I liked the owner's (Ash) response to some bottom feeder who knocked the venue over their own miserable nonsense - wanting to use vouchers, etc, for a discount. Eat at Sizzler you petty clown.

In conclusion, I was reminded that nothing had changed re pricing and 'every small thing' on the menu comes at an incremental extra price. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations in this regard, but I find it a bit confronting paying, extra for chips, extra for salad, extra for sauce, etc. This is merely a transparent ploy to offset the (otherwise) quite reasonable prices for the 'mains' by adding all the markup in the extra items you need for a meal. I'm not struggling financially, but that aspect doesn't go unnoticed. Personally I'd rather just pay 20% more for the meal and simply get a compete meal.

Overall though - Positively recommended.

Hard floor can make listening difficult bur the food is excellent, l enjoy the Scotch medium rare with green pepper sauce

Very disappointing. Been going to squires loft for years. Tried to book today and they won't take bookings over the phone. Advised by owner you now have to book via quandoo so they have your credit card details. Not happening. If you want to stay safe on the net avoid restaurants like this that demand your card details. Just lost a customer.

Used very like this restaurant before Covid and went there often. Since Covid we didn’t go there until today. Meal portion become smaller and not able to fill up me as before. To say this price isn’t worth this portion anymore.
And when we try to pay by using a gift-voucher that issued by Squires Loft Nunawading, the assistant told us they only accept the paper voucher but not a phone e-voucher!
There has no any policy mention on the voucher said they only accept hard copy version cz they can’t do scanning. But there is bar code and QRCODE on the voucher! What’s the point of this two code?
Not even mention we got this as a gift from my parents. They request the gift voucher sent from this restaurant by email and forward to my email.
End up we have to pay by our own card!
This is the main reason I give them one star. If for food price and potion I probably will give 2-3 cz they aren’t good as before.
I only will visit this restaurant one more time to finish using that voucher and that’s it. Won’t be here anymore.

Update after viewing the reply from manager.

my phone was totally working fine that day when I went to show the DOWNLOAD voucher.
I do show the voucher on my phone which I already download and present to the the waitress, and the waitress saw it BUT insist you only accept print out version (paper voucher) and reject my PHONE PRSENT VOUCHER.
So I think here has some misunderstanding from your explanation (Or what you got told) and my experience that day.
If there is CCTV in your restaurant you may can have a look.

The food was great but 1.5 hour wait for food and with hard ceramic walls you can hear people talking from the other side of the restaurant louder than you can hear people at the end of your table it makes for a unenjoyable evening

Had dinner with friends last night. Food was amazing & cooked to perfection! Our steak & chicken was tender, succulent & delicious. Great atmosphere & staff were warm, friendly & attentive. A beautiful evening!

Is it possible to give it 10 stars? The food here is seriously amazing. It’s some of the best steaks I’ve ever had and that blue cheese sauce. And those pork ribs! 10 out of 10!

Ordered:
Mushroom with cheese
- it’s good
Rib eye on the bone - medium rare - Cream garlic sauce
- well cooked
Scotch - medium rare- mushroom sauce
- bit undercooke
We have mojito and red wine (forget the name)
Overall it’s average, we waited 50mins for the steak. The customer service is great.

Great food, pity about the attitude of the wait staff.
Waitress brings my drink while I have a mouthful of bread, I give her a subtle thumbs up to say yes/thanks and she tells me a nod would be more appropriate.
Quickly dumps the beer pirouettes​ and departs leaving me in disbelief. It wasn't like I stood there like the Fonz.

Overall the wait staff seemed up themselves.

Because we weren't in corporate powerwear, rather than turn us away at the door for not meeting the dress code they have us in then give us attitude.

We are on holiday, either of us make more in a day than you do in a week waiting tables sweethearts.
