Spotlight Sandown

I regularly shop at spotlight, they're normally absolutely fantastic, but the bureaucracy of it is overwhelming now. I was unaware it was click and collect only, I needed a zip that matches the colour of some fabric I had brought a sample of. I asked if the person inside could just walk over to haberdashery to grab some zips and I could be on my way, but no, the system demands it's done through click and collect.so I figured fine, I'll take a gamble and hope it's the right colour.when I got online to make a click and collect, turns out there's a minimum order of $30. ALL I NEED IS A $4 ZIP.so now I have a bunch of hobbyfill that I don't need, all so I can finish the project that I had for lockdown. I understand it's at no fault of the guy on the phone or the person manning the store, but please tell the higher ups that the system in place is utterly pathetic.

Good store, but doesn't have the range of products that were advertised. It would need to be ordered and sent across via mail.

This place is crowded but customer service is pleasant and always ready to help. A variety of products here for household products and clothing material. Great party variety and decorations ideas.

Another fav place, i take my grandson here, huge selection in costumes, party accessories, packaged beautiful cakes to bake, candy etc, crafts for kids in abundance to all adult ages, jump to bedding, pillows etc nxt dr to massive coles, n fav donut shop "Daniel's donuts". Excellent place for all your crafting needs. Could possibly use slightly better signage inside, but otherwise is great, completely helpful, and always has what you need.

This was a fantastic shopping experience. Luckily I grabbed what I wanted as the lady in the aisle stacked her trolley with all but what I got at the time. Maybe purchase number limit, but good on spotlight for sale. Good luck to them. As for the check out, the ladies seemed young. But watching them deal with a complaining older customer. Older than me.
They were professional and considerate.

Staff are very friendly and will to look for an item at other stores rather then pushing you away.

They are always very helpful and there's plenty of rad fabric in the reduced section. If you are a spotlight member you can get some fantastic deals!

Nice! Easy to navigate, not too big. Everything is tidy, too. I notice other stores are a bit haphazard and messy. I found what I wanted straight away. Only problems were choosing what to buy since their range is so amazing!

Shop layout is fairly easy to understand, it can get a bit squishy with a more than a few people in the store but otherwise a good store.

Very helpful staffs helping to get the right items for you. Store could have been more tidy as things were a bit all over the place!

Have been to Springvale spotlight twice in a week due to lack of service at other spotlight stores, both times, I have had three different staff members treat me with the best customer service, went out of their way to help me with my concerns and questions.

To me this is a typical chain store where the service is the same throughout.

While this store is out of my area, I will return there because the shopping centre has a few other stores there to trade and because I regularly go to a place not far off this has come to the radar.

They do have items there where I could not get them in other stores so that is a terrific bonus.

Unhappy with the customer service provider at the checkout. Not great not even acknowledged that there is someone standing in the line. No word was exchanged during purchase.

Great for party decorations and helium balloons just a tip book it in before the day of your party and then pick them up or they probably deliver too.

Very unhappy with the (lack of) customer service in this store. Every time I go in The service is non existent and the manager hides in her office instead of coming to take charge of your issue.
They just love giving customers the run around.
I am a VIP customer and I will never shop at Sandown Spotlight ever again. In fact it looks like the next time I need anything that Spotlight provides I will be better off at a more professional organization.

Good store and the staff were mostly helpful, except for someone at the fabric cutting counter who didn't even acknowledge us waiting whilst she chatted away on the phone. A bit cramped compared to other Spotlight stores.

It's rather small and there is never enough staff to either assist or serve.
Hate the dont place nearby

I just got back from the the worse customer service ever! I wanted to exchange or refund a piece of paper I bought two days ago, still with its original packaging brand new which was only a few dollars worth and the manager Catherine said NO REFUND IR EXCHANGED since I paid cash for it there is no proof of purchase. I didn't bother with the receipt at the time since it was only a few dollars. Trying to save the planet. I said I didn't want this to go landfill that's why I made the effort to come back here and queued up all this time wasted. Initially when I got there, there was only one staff at the cash register. Very long queue. The staff said she there is noway of knowing its price since no receipt? How stupid?
