Spotlight Sandown reviews
54Staff are extremely friendly but apparently blind. Ordered click and collect and was told 2 items I chose were not in stock but when I checked there were 12 of them sitting on the shelf right next to the other items I had ordered.
The lady in the curtains department was a wonderful help - with meterage, size etc. Patient and smiley. I haven't sewn curtains for over 30 years. She was very Knowledgeable - just what you need in a craft store. Excellent
Sunday morning, 10.15 in the morning just as the store opened at 10.00. The store is clean well stocked but poorly staffed, but they all are. I waited 20 minutes to be served in the furnishings department, then another 15 minutes in the fabric department. Then l picked up another item and got down to the registers and there was 5 people waiting, needless to say l put the item down and walked out. Pity you can't get a park closer to the store. Daniels donut customers and Uber drivers take all the close parks. I am a disabled driver and when l walked past the very poorly marked disabled parks they both had cars with an Uber sticker on them. It was raining and not one park near the store was vacant.
This time, the bedspreads were half price, so I went there. It's my favorite store because it also sells handicrafts and party supplies.
Amazing, the lady in the cutting fabric area was super helpful. I will be passing 3 spotlights to come to this one! Just outstanding.
I was in the area so had called to check stock availability and the staff member was happy to put the item on hold until I arrived (5min later). Was in and out of the store in 5min as well.was the fastest customer service experience I've come across.hope all locations are just the same.
As a cosplayer I practically live in spotlight. They have something for everyone whatever your craft, the staff are always very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend becoming a VIP member as they often have good deals and discounts.
Go to place to grab craft supplies, or to fix some odds and ends around the house.
Well stocked with great prices, and often on sale!
Misleading illustrations. BEWARE!
I purchased a Logan & Mason Luxe Hotel Pillowtop Mattress Topper and l didn't get what was illustrated on the outside of the pack! Not happy Jan. Because the bedding was non refundable l'm stuck with it. Buyer Beware
Great store lots of products and their sales are a great time to shop to get a bargain. Staff are friendly helpful. Helps that Daniels donuts is right next door.
Great store, has crafts and things to use when doing sewing to knitting and lots of fabric to choose from to a place where can order party balloons and dress up too.great customer service as well
Worse experience with this store, rude stuff specially the old lady in cashier, different price and description on the pillow, trying to cheat me for $5, they couldn’t give the right answer for that, this store needs to work on its staff’s attitude with customers, and provide correct price and description for each item, not recommend to any one to visit this branch of spotlight,
Rang numerous times to no avail i went into the store as i wanted someone to come to my home to measure for blinds.the young lady said the person isnt here even though i was in the blind section.i gave the lady my details and she said i would get a call its been a week now.your loss my money will be spent elsewhere.
Great service by a staff member called Min.
An intelligent man who knows the products and is very respectful and helpful to customers.
Store 100 percent!
Min 110 percent!
Staff at register inpatient. Disappointed with Spotlight in general cheap and poor range of beading supplies. Unable to find several things was after overall
Very disappointed with this store. This store has been recently reorganised, and not for the better. It is now a bit like a maze.
Whereas Spotlight was always the place to go for all of my sewing needs, it now more of a homewares shop.
While they still have a reasonable range of fabric, it's pricing is getting unreasonable. As for the haberdashery almost everything is prepackaged. So if you only want one or two of anything, forget about it. Cards of buttons are extremely expensive and the range seems to be shrinking. Choice of threads is now limited too.
They used to have a great range of paper patterns but the reason for my visit this time was to buy some. I chose three that I wanted. Spotlight no longer supplies a piece of paper and pencil to write the numbers down. There's no service to get your patterns either. You have to get on your knees and go through the drawers yourself. The drawers were a mess and I couldn't find any of the patterns I wanted. I asked two different staff members who told me that if they aren't in the drawers they don't have them. Neither of them offered to have a look.
Overall, my impression of the new Spotlight model is not a positive one.
As I said, Spotlight used to be a one stop shop for everything haberdashery but this is no longer the case.
Front staff member at front cash register was not at all helpful.lacked customer service.in fact was rude in her attitude towards a simple question about there stock.
A great place for all your craft, sewing, party and homeware needs. Stock has been scanty lately but that is happening everywhere with supply issues. Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Fairly good store, its on the same precinct as a Coles Super market so parking can be hard to find.
Its got almost everything but groceries, mainly dealing in the DIY clothes making, home maker stuff.
I was there to get a roll up door blind, and I got one in the color I was after.
Store was very busy and I was there at lunch time so excuses for not have enough people on the cashiers.
The place is filled with absolutely miserable staff.there is one nice lady who works there, short hair, usually in the party section, but that's about it.i dread having to speak to anyone who works there.it's like there is a poison cloud over the entire place making every single one of them toxic and miserable.even the blonde thing barging around between the front desk and the bedding section pretending to be bubbly.is a passive aggressive bag of misery.ugh id rather poke my own eyes out than ask anyone where to find something in this store.
