Spotlight Preston reviews
71Lots on offer and at great prices if you time your visit right but. Beware of their members club. It opens the door to great bargains but also an incessant barrage of marketing guff via email and sms. Once I'd unsubscribed to the electronic marketing, they sent me printed brochures to my parcel locker. Thus my love hate relationship.
Biggest Spotlight I've been to. Like all Spotlights it's a bit overwhelming the pure amount of stuff they have on offer. Everything from air fryers to strong to curtains to Harry Potter costumes. But I've kinda gotten used to this one in the old Masters building. I know where stuff is, or have a vague idea if not.
Usually pretty well staffed and they're friendly enough.
Good prices but being not to familiar with this type of store I found it very frustrating the lack of helpers or advisers on the floor.
Spotlight used to hire people who knew and understood their products, staffing people who sew in the sewing area etc since this this spotlight has moved and the staff has drastically changed it is understaffed and full of people who do not know the products they are selling and are unable to help people who are new to sewing or crafting, there is no help here even if they had the time to help you.
Really convenient place for shopping everything for domestic use while kids can have good time at chipmunks
Honestly everytime I go here I get the best service! The ladies in craft are beautiful always so helpful, and get treated respectively. Love coming here. So handy and easy.
It’s clear Spotlight don’t care about their customer service.
The lady who served us yesterday should be working underground with no human contact. She had no people skills and was super annoyed at any request. If I could cut and measure the stuff myself I would, but your signs say not to touch the reels. Wouldn’t recommend to anybody not wanting to have their nice day rained on by a disgruntled lady with a bad attitude. Feel free to contact me spotlight if your customers matter to you.
The shop is great as with all Spotlights and the parking is easy but everytime I go I have to wait so long to purchase items. I don’t know if I’m unlucky but it’s happened a number of times now and it puts me off going there altogether. I don’t know why they can’t have registers staffed in busy times.
Just did a click and collect order, store was very busy and understaffed. Felt sorry for the people working there!
Get my knitting and crocheting stuff here!?
Also good for bedding, costumes, kitchen accessories, curtains and blinds, homewares too. They even have a party section where you can order balloons. I love Spotlight, as they have a great range.
I had bad experience both the times I visited the store. Spotlight definitely has collection but the prices are on the higher side.
1st visit: 5th November. I picked yarns from the section where it said $8 each and I was charged $12 each. I was ready with discount coupon and the lady in the counter did was glanced at it and billed me. I had to go back to the counter tell her that she didn’t apply the coupon to which she replied you just showed it to me and didn't ask to apply. She then applied the discount and I was still charged $12 each.
2nd visit: 4th December I picked up 2 pillows. 1 was $18 and other was $20. At the counter I was again charged more had to tell the lady that the items I picked were on discount. I was also having a discount coupon then and asked her to apply. To which she said have you used it before. I said I haven’t. She scanned it again and coupon went through.
Customer service is at its worse.
Great Shop Where You Can Buy Just About Anything For The House Except Appliances Not The Cheapest Thou But Have Good Specials
Good store with plenty of choices but quite tight to get through. Narrow isles and walkways
The shop is well laid out, and follows the pattern of the other Spotlight shops. It is well stocked and has a good range of products. Parking is easy.
Average store, not much of any interest and overpriced. I won't rule out coming back here in the future, but it won't be my first choice. I'm surprised that they're still able to remain competitive with other similar shops to be honest. PULL YOUR SOCKS UP SPOTLIGHT!
Great selection of products. Sale items didn't scan at registers. Make sure they are charging you at the sales cost. The lady I had first didn't believe me until I walked her to the sale ticket with the price.
Lights are too bright and I always get lost in the linen section. The towels are never the price they say they are. How much money do you want for vmgoddamn buttons? Three stars
Very impressed with the lady in the curtain department. Wish all spotlight stores have a person as competent as her.
The location has changed and the photo is for the previous location. Good big store? Good sales but unfortunately many items out of stock due to covid
As always, the place is short staffed, and this generally makes them a little less helpful, but the store is good in range of items.
