I made the mistake if going back, Saturday 20th Nov 2021. Still employ rude staff.nothing changes with this lot.

(Year ago) Sunday 4.58pm, arrive panting at the door. It is closed and closing time is 5.00pm note. Go round to the door where people are exiting (and they are exiting). Told "we have reached capacity (but people are leaving so they were overcapacity?). Followed by the typical "I'm sorry" e.g. "go away because I don't care about customer service or customers and I am out of here" by the typical pedantic young "lady" on the door. Poor service, won't be back.

I can spend hours here, always new things to create or decorate with. Staff super helpful and knowledgeable!

Quite a large store with plentiful stock. Also plenty of parking in its ideal location with Bunnings and Officeworks within a stone's throw.

It's a great store, big with lots of product, but the car park on a Saturday afternoon is horrendous, you just can't get out of it due to the ridiculous layout.

Why why why is it always impossible to get good customer service at spotlight? One girl serving and about 4 walking around. She calls no one to help her as the line is increasing and none of the other staff care. I work in retail and if I ignored customers like this i would have be told how to give proper customer service. Clearly management don’t care either.
And why don’t they sell biodegradable bags. I have to buy a $1 bag every time I forget one. Not happy

Love shopping here especially getting the crafts items I needed for my project.beside this the service was nice and easy to get by.

Omg was it busy and there was only 2 staff members in the fabric cutting area so it was a very long wait to be served. Like a good 20 plus minutes of standing in a que waiting.
Store was rather untidy with stock pulled off shelves, scattered on the floor. Not that I think the staff made the mess, but there wasn't anyone doing much to clean it up.
If you need to go there be prepared to have a bit of a wait if you need to buy fabric.

Staff were deplorably rude via phone correspondence. They were unable to fulfil an order (despite website stating adequate stock) and were rude and unwilling to assist in exchanging items. The staff stated they couldn't help despite that information contradicting the publicly available policy. This is not my first bad experience with their inept staff.
Will not shop at mentone spotlight again!

I rang to ask for adive on a purchase and was told sorry, just look online as we do not have enough staff on. Your order could take up to two days but one day is more likely as we are under staffed. "We have 100's of orderss and only a few people here to fill them".

I placed a click & collect order on September 5th. My order was confirmed with all items available at Mentone store. I called the store the same day to ask a question about my order and the staff member I spoke to was incredibly rude and blunt - without even listening to my enquiry she said they only had 2 staff on that day and were too busy to help me. My order was confirmed ready for collection on September 6th, however 2 of my items were cancelled. This was ok because the FAQ's on spotlights website said that staff could help me exchange or add items from click & collect orders once at the store. This was not the case. I asked the staff member if there was any other blue food colouring I could purchase to replace the one that had been taken off my order. This was for my sons 2nd birthday cake THAT DAY. She told me I could buy another one online and come back in 4 days. She said there was nothing she could do to help me, turned her back and walked off. This was extremely disappointing customer service on 2 occasions.and was especially hurtful that it ruined my sons 2nd birthday cake. I will never get that day back. And I will be extremely hesitant to shop at spotlight again due to the complete incompetence and disregard for customer service.

I am forced to write this review because I would like to warn others about my experience.

Ordered click and collect but before pickup cancelled the order. After 4 days received email confirmation from spotlight that they have cancelled order and will enable refund. It has been more than 15 days that I have received my refund. Also, no one responds to any amount of emails at all. Contacted via Facebook messenger, someone responded that their team will ‘contact’ me via email, but so far nothing.

Horrific experience with no regards for customer and the financial liability that they owe towards a customer after agreeing to refund.

Was assisted by a staff member named Gwen. I'm new to sewing and was out of my depth. But, Gwen was so lovely, patient and friendly. It made it so much less intimidating and more exciting. She really went above and beyond and it was appreciated.

Great range of upholstery available for my furniture projects, good advice provided. Just the wait sometimes is long, even with heaps of staff, at the wrong time it can take 45mins to queue and pay.

Great Spotlight Store.
Went into buy and measure up for Curtains and Scrim Netting.
The young female that assisted was very helpful, professional, and knew exactly what Customer Service is and should be. It was so nice to be attended to like someone cared, not just for the Customer, but also for the job.
Well Done on making it easy for us to get exactly what we were after.
A great layout.
Hopefully we can get more like the young lady that assisted that night. A credit to
the Spotlight Brand
