Excellent authentic food served with great care and at very reasonable prices. The chicken tikka was cooked perfectly - the best I have had for some time.

We went for my friends milestone birthday. So glad that we went to Spice of india. Food and customer service was amazing. A must go and dine in place if you are in Daylesford.

The best Indian restaurant in the whole of Victoria in terms of variety and taste - period. Great ambience and really nice staff too

Food was ok.very mild flavours. Roti was great. Portions are less. Mutton pepper dry would have been awesome if the meat was marinated with salt and pepper.

Genuinely one of the best places to eat. Has a ‘homey’ vibe to it. They definitely put love and effort into their food. If you’re not sure where to start, the butter chicken is a must. Very friendly staff with excellent customer service. We live almost 2 hours away and are willing to make the drive to come and visit! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience.

We had such a great experience, staff is super friendly and nice. The food was very yummy, my kids found the butter chicken really tender and flavour some. Aloo tikka was hot, crispy and really fresh. Paneer tikka masala was really good. Would definitely recommend this awesome restaurant to my friends and family.

The lady staff who attended us today was very rude, we waited for 1.5 hours and the staffs didn’t even bother to inform us why it was taking so long.

The food is so fresh and tasty. Having travelled to India many times I know authentic Indian cuisine and this restuarant serves it up! The food always makes me feel so happy! I came for dinner every night while visiting Daylesford. Every dish I tried was consistently good. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. Thank you Spice of India!

We went for a dinner. Order was taken after 30 minutes, we ordered 2 starter and take away food for 2, got the starter after 30 minutes. Took another 30 minutes to get the take away food. There was only 1 table engaged when we went in. Overall one and half hour. The person who served us tried his best to hold us in seat. Onion bhaji was good, paneer tikka was an average, Chilly paneer was terrible. Garlic nan was burned.even though Kadai chicken was over cooked and chicken was mashed gravy tastes nice. Overall we wasted One and half hour And 79 dollar.

We got the tea, matar paneer, and vegetarian vindaloo. The food was wonderful, the ambiance was lovely, friendly waitstaff. It was a lovely experience. Great gluten free options. Vegetarian, & coeliac friendly:)

I have eaten here many times over the years and have never been disappointed, ever! I have eaten in large groups, romantic diners, with my kids and alone. All are perfect.
If it's a nice evening, ask for a table outside, it makes for such a special night.

Nearly 15 mins of waiting for the menu, no one shows up but instead serves the other customers next to us, who arrived later. Similarly, the waiter immediately serves the nexr customer upon their arrival. Didnt get a good vibe at all so we left. Never coming back.

A lovely place with an authentic ambience! We ordered daal makhani, paneer butter masala, mango lassi and raita which was a perfect combo! 10/10 would recommend. Delicious!

This place know how to serve a curry. I have been here twice, the food is pretty great at really reasonable price and really high standards. They clearly have great chefs. Staff are very sweet. Great work guys! Nice atmosphere with outside seating. Thanks again for delicious meal!

Driven past lots of times, tonight we stopped, pre ordered 1/2 hour prior. Omg amazing flavour and beautiful smells of butter chicken medium heat & rice. Took it into Maldon and was the best ever butter chicken. We will be back.

We visited Daylesford and came across this beautiful Indian restaurant. Reasonable price, delicious food (we had chicken tikka masala and mutton pepper), and friendly service. Our experience there couldn’t get any better. Very recommended!

Absolutely delicious. Yes we did have to wait BUT it was worth it. The service was outstanding and we were treated with so much respect and with a big smile. One of my favourite places so far. Don’t judge how it looks on the outside. This food is seriously delicious and tasty and just beautiful. Cannot fault it.
