I love this cafe! It is welcoming and warm. The decor is on point and the staff are great. My go to is always the smashed avocado but everything is delicious. The pancakes are also divine! Great coffee which is a must! Highly recommended.

Amazing brunch and lunch menu. I am thrilled its just around the corner from work so I can pop in all the time. The zucchini penne is the bomb!

What a great cafe/restaurant! Excellent service and terrific menu. Lots of tables, lots of choice and the food was amazing. We had Sunday brekky and it was excellent and reasonably priced. This is my new favourite place in Melbourne to have brekky!

Love this place! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with a warm, cheery and friendly greeting. Customer service was fabulous and food was fantastic. The wife and I had the two specials for the day the ‘omelette’ and ‘risotto’.
Call out to the two guys who served us! Loved your personality and attitude. Really added to the great atmosphere.

Unfortunately forgot to take photos, but we went here for brunch and absolutely loved it. I ordered the special which was an omelette with pine nuts & blue cheese - flavours were humming

South of Johnston is the boss- great coffee, magnificent food, lovely, spacious, airy set up and friendly, attentive wait staff. Do yourself a favour!

A great find, a bit more hidden away than the rest of the cafes in the region. Really friendly staff and excellent service. The venue itself has a nice fitout with old kitchen tools on the wall and comfortable furnishings. The food is very tasty (we had chili scrambled eggs and the smashed avo). Coffee was also very nice. We will be back!

Update: Still one of the best cafes in Melbourne. Great Menu. Great service. Great vibe. Beautiful decor. Fantastic place to meet friends, read a book, or have a Sunday morning Mimosa. Seriously great.

One of my favourite Melbourne cafes. Unpretentious vibe with amazing coffee, food and decor.

Coffee was good. I had zucchini fritters, my meal was cold. And the water glasses, the water inside the bottles, tables.i mean.very dusty and not polished. I left a bit sad tbh, was not expecting this.

I was hesitating to come here first as it looked very trendy and therefore I think uptight, but I was pleasantly surprised. Hipster waiters but friendly. Service is good and food very tasty. Just a bit noisy but what can you expect when the place is packed?

Pretty cafe with amazing breakfast menu. I had crushed peas with ricotta, prosciutto, poached eggs and will come back to try the other dishes.

Spacious place for brunch with an indoor dog corner for your pooch if it's raining or cold! The servings are large and good value for money. We tried the smashed avo, chicken schnitzel wrap and beef burgers. All dishes were good

Amazing prompt and friendly service. The food (we went for breakfast/brunch) was beautiful, a flavour explosion! We had the chorizo eggs (like a suped up eggs Benedict).

Gemütliches hippes Café. Mein Iced Latte war allerdings eher mittelmäßig und sehr klein. Außerdem ist das Trinkwasser sehr chlorhaltig.

Great coffee, loved the semolina cake. Especially liked the ambience; quiet and great for reading or doing a spot of work.

This place is great. The only thing you gotta watch is the bacon because it's deliberately over cooked and leathery, but otherwise the rest is perfect

What a place, so chill yet freak. Loved it. Dish of the day 'salmon risotto' was as good as I have ever tried anywhere.

Beautiful location, great food and the service is good. In particular the guy at the door is always lovely
