Having had my COVID-19. AstraZeneca vaccine yesterday afternoon, I am pleased to say that the process and professional manner in which I received the vaccine and the concern given by the staff, Nurse and Doctor about my underlying health issues put my mind at ease, as I was feeling a little anxious at the time, so felt reassured when given the advice needed and what to expect with possible reactions after. Am pleased to say that I have at the moment, so far, had few side affects, probably no more than after having had the Flu Vax in the past, and I will be returning to South Gippsland Family Medicine for my second COVID-19 Vax in 12 weeks time! Today, I saw a Dr. Sumedha Ekanayake, This doctor, was most courteous and helpful to me with my questions. Very interested in what I had to say. Always equipped to answer the best remedy for my health issues. Always there to listen.

I received my flu vaccine yesterday after seeing the Doctor. Next step was to see the Nurse. Both were very pleasant and informative. The whole visit took approximately 15 minutes. Thank you SGFM

I have been here several times and found the doctors to be caring and knowledgeable. The girls on reception are professional and friendly. Nothing is a bother. Great care is given from start to finish.

I have been a patient at this clinic for quite a long time. Reception staff go out of their way to help. Nothing is too much trouble. Dr McCormick has been my Doctor for many years. I have never had a better Doctor. He is kind, caring and very understanding. He has looked after me so well, over the years. A very knowledgeable man.

Over the last 4 months - I have had the pleasure of receiving training within this medical clinic and interacting with the amazing, kind and welcoming staff under its roof.

The receptionists, Sandra, Emily and Karen are both extremely kind and humorous individuals who always receive patients and visitors with a warm smile- a testament to both their personalities and professional communication skills.

The Practice Manager, Sharlene is very welcoming, professional and responsive to patient's feedbacks -allowing the clinic to constantly improve the standard of care provided to patients.

The nurses (Liz, Marg, Belinda) are down to earth and past their wonderful procedural skills, are extremely compassionate and understanding. Not to mention, always ready to provide the sleepy, run down, stressed medical student with a shot of sugar!

I have also had the pleasure of being attached to many GPs within the Clinic. From Dr Saha and his love of Collingwood FC to Dr. Ekaynayke's devout loyalty toward his home made sandwiches in the face of delicious free lunch and Dr. McCormick's amazing travel stories and life experiences, I can personally attest that this team of doctors, whilst diverse in personality and approach, are all exceptionally skilled, empathetic and will look after you to the best of their ability.

Overall, despite being an individual who grew up detesting visits to the doctors, both out of a young man's delusions of invincibility and a lack of rapport or continuance with any doctor, I would highly recommend South Gippsland Family Medicine and would have loved to be in their care.

Disgrace and also couldnt help to explain why they couldn't give a certain blood test but could give urine test? Then other thing is couldn't get a straight answer about why.that mean something is wrong with bloods? Highly confused.highly anxious. Thanks docs.

As a patient with multiple health issues, I'm at this clinic quite a bit.
I had a horrific experience with Dr Saha who gaslit me and tried to reject my Gastroenterologist's request to test me for Coeliac Disease. After being quite assertive I got the pathology tests I requested and sure enough, my diagnosis was confirmed! I will never see him again, even as a last resort.
Dr Zhang is another who is very dismissive towards her patients and very unwilling to even ring up the pathology lab for a blood test result.
Dr Vinay and Dr McCormick are fantastic and very compassionate and it's such a shame there is no continuity of care.

Sorry to complain but I have not had good experiences with the doctors (one female, one male) who actually tell you to go to emergency and clog up the emergency department at the hospital while you are sitting in their room! The only thing I like about this clinic is the receptionists! They are great people and understand people's needs and all, like deaf people needing interpreters. Other than that, the doctors I have seen are not good at all. Never in my whole life have I ever had to put up with doctors telling me to go to emergency to get an ultrasound and refusing to give me a script to get an ultrasound right in their office! Disgusting! WASTED MY TIME TODAY! Hope you are happy Dr Mallikaarachchi! This has made me very angry. Putting their money profits above MY health does not go down well with me! And I will not clog up an emergency dept just to suit the selfish lazy doctor's life! I hope the doctors get penalised for trying to clog up the emergency department! I will be making a report about this. MY HEALTH COMES FIRST, NOT PROFIT AND LAZINESS!
