Sofia Restaurant Camberwell

Garlic pizza was fantastic very strong, with crushed garlic on top. Lots of free parking out front after 6pm.
Good food at family friendly prices, ice cream range is great.
Regular pizza average at best and table service lackluster but overall a goodnight out.

A solid 4. This place is a Camberwell institution. Weather it’s Fatty Friday’s, post school sport takeaway, or a pre-pub fill. The serves are huge, the owners are icons, and parking is generally easy. Don’t expect a culinary masterpiece, but don’t expect to leave hungry either. After-all, kids big and small must finish the meal by grazing the ice cream cabinet.

The food is delicious and the serving sizes are ridiculously generous (don't order a large unless you want a meal for the next 2 days!).

Waiters are always very friendly and you feel the sense of Mediterranean hospitality right away. They're always happy to talk to you, are attentive and everything is made to request. My rare steak was cooked to perfection with a lovely mushroom sauce.

Wow the food is really good we had lunch for my wife birthday. The staff are amazing specially Moses did really look after us. Thank you and keep up the great work guys definitely go back again.

Meals are HUGE. Excessively so, to me it is wasteful. You will need a doggy bag for Entree size pasta. Service is quick, private es very reasonable, but big, busy and loud. Not the place for an intimate dinner.

Good portions at a good price. The desserts looked very good but had no more room after downing a pizza.

Good atmosphere, below average food, and the staffs were extraordinarily terrible and unprofessional. We ordered one coffee from one of the waitress, but the order was never put through. On top of that, we asked one of the waiter for a takeaway container to bring the rest of our food home. However the staff took our food away and never came back. Will never give it another try and I would not recommend this place anymore.

Hands down the WORST Italian food in Melbourne, seriously most people's simple home cooking package pasta with a jar sauce will taste better than this, bland, no fresh ingredients, bad presentation, steak was like solid rubber, honestly if you consider yourself as even just 25% foodie then don't ever come waste your time here, when a restaurant substitute quality with portions and price THAT MUCH, then you know it's gonna be a pretty bad time ahead, so surprised this ship has sunk already.

It should be called Sloppy Sofias. I wish I could give this 0 stars. This place is the biggest insult to Italian food. Pizza base is like pita bread. I thought they were Italian. Don’t come here if you still want to keep your tastebuds.

Great service! Went there for lunch and it was quite quiet. However, the wait staff were all lovely and attended to our needs - food and drinks came out promptly. Portion sizes are also ridiculously generous!

The taste of the food was personally a bit bland, but that was easily solved with salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese.

Worst pasta and "garlic bread" we have ever eaten. Pasta was overcooked, watery, no seasoning, but mass servings that we all chucked in the bin. Really disappointing. Everyone with no cooking skills at all can do better. Food quality ok if you take the "cheap" prize into account though.

No fancy or experimental food in this restaurant but down to earth great Italian menu. Servings are very large and prices affordable.

Great service and huge portions of food. Pizza was crisp and tasty. Pasta and Risotto tasted bland and was ok.

Excellent fine dinning in a budget. A little low on taste but still their recipes are wonder in Melbourne. Try their Pizza and also the ice creams

Very very rude staffs, after watching their behaviour I felt they should be slapped. I am not going there anymore.

Great Value, Great Atmosphere, Giant Servings enough for 2, and the desserts were incredible, Overall meals were bigger and better than the photos.
