Sofia Restaurant Camberwell

Service was adequate (definitely not refined). Only a spoon was provided for the spaghetti dish, which wasn’t satisfactory. Quantity was generous for all dishes. Char grilled chicken salad and spaghetti marinara were excellent (lots of prawns). Pizzas were just average. On the receipt, each item is mentioned as “FOOD T1” hence the dishes are not listed. 10% surcharge applies on 30 December.

Havent been here for years and decided to come back today for dinner.
Was not disappointed.
Food was still quite good like before.
We ordered pasta for 2 (3 different kinds of pastas) including carbonara, creamy seafood and sofia spaghetti. I liked the carbonara the most - very creamy, cheesy. My aunty loved the creamy seafood the most. Spaghetti was just ok, so so.
Fried seafood platter and pizza margherita were pretty good when hot.
10% surcharge for weekend and public holiday.
However, the owner/cashier just manually calculate the bill so its better to double check the bill in case its mistakenly higher than it should be.

Large portions but the food was not as tasty. Didn’t taste what it should be like, and we ordered special Sophia pizza and it was extremely awful. The quality of its pizza was just horrible, not recommended it at all.

Even the service was terrible, the waitress was with a bad attitude, have been asked so many times for just the water. They needed to be retrained asap.

Resonable price, extra large quantity, my openion if you are too hungry do not order more food jus order 1-2 dishes its more than enough depend on how many people you are. Best pizza always on Top of the list.

I grew up visiting this Italian restaurant since I was age 5 and I could honestly say that the foods made by the chefs were absolutely outstanding and delicious. The waiters were extremely friendly. Highly recommend this Italian restaurant for anyone who is visiting with their family or friends regardless they've been here or not. Really can't stop complaining how much I appreciate it!

The best and most authentic Italian food in the neighbourhood. Food is amazingly delicious and the portion sizes are huge. This place had been around for decades and it’s not hard to imagine why considering their awesome food.

Terrible attitude from staff, looks like it's a bother for them to be there and everything is a chore.

They were also quite unhygienic, putting toppings on pizza then ruffling their hair and fixing their pants.

Hard to support businesses like this.

Love the food, but apparently there's a surcharge of 5$ on Teusday night. Either that or I ordered something and forgot about it and the same happened with the server.

Epic meal size. Value for money. How they stay in business is beyond me. The meal sizes are massive! They have to be losing money from the portions alone! You should take advantage of their generosity while you can.

I ordered a chicken salad.came with a MASSIVE plate of lettuce LITERALLY.and drowned in creamy mayonnaise that almost resembled a soup. Staff were very courteous though.but sorry meal was very substandard. I won't be back

Tasteless food and completely in breach of all current Covid restrictions whilst all other local restaurants doing the right thing with the maximum of 50 patrons. We booked in good faith to catch up with family to celebrate their birthdays that had been missed in lockdown. We were seated back to back with over 200 people in the same room as us with more and more just walking in and tables being set up to accomodate. Oh and staff wearing masks under their noses.

Low quality, low cost venue. Waiter rude, mistake ridden and slow service. Won't be back. How this has a 4 star rating is beyond me.

It is a family owned Italian place. I had the best Lasagna ever. Although the service is little slow but food is top notch. It is a beautiful place for team lunches, family places and fine dine.

Great place to visit. Tasty food, inexpensive, comfortable sitting, fast and polite service. Definitely will visit again.

I visited this fine establishment this evening for a belated birthday celebration. Sofia's is a classic Italian focuses restaurant and cuisine, pizza pasta and desserts! Staff were prompt to greet us at the door and seated us quickly, after a covid check in of course. Didn't have to wait long for meals or drinks, plenty of staff on hand for requests. Overall a nice night out to celebrate with a meal.

Two of us came to Sofia Restaurant in Camberwell on a Tuesday night for dinner. We ordered the large meatlovers pizza and large beef lasagne! Not only did they arrive quickly, but the food was absolutely delicious and very generous-sized portions. Excellent customer service as well. Thank you very much.

One of the best places to eat in Melbourne. The portions are huge and perfect for a group setting. The staff are friendly, especially the owner

You can't go wrong with this place.

Not the Sofia's of old. Whwre in the past it was a wait for a table now the place is not even half filled. The food is edible - not much to rave on about but also not the worst either. Ho-hum says it well

I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the prawns in my pancetta prawns. The mushrooms were also a good size. Flavours were all there. Serving portion will surely satisfy even the biggest appetite. Attentive waiters. Fast efficient service. Open until late. The seating area is quite vast for the location. Tables arranged for couples, families and larger groups.

We had pasta, garlic pizza and steak. Food portions were big and tasted fantastic. I love that place and will definitely come back.
