Sofia Frankston reviews
60Love Sophias, always get a huge meal (may be a bit too big actually!), but it feeds the family well and cant complain! Thanks for your service.
Had tea at sofias tonight'' my burger was raw! '
My friends prawns were also raw, both had stomach problems afterwards.
Followed by diariahha.
Either bad food handeling'' maybe had'nt washed their hands after going to the dunny, or under cooked meals,
We will never know, or ever be back,
Over priced and undercooked food

I have Marinara Spaghetti, there are lots of scallops and the portion is big. It is valuable for the price. Although it is a little plain but they provide salt and pepper at the table. I also order The Pier cocktail, it is sered fast but I might not into the flavour much. It has vanilla tatse from Galliano and quite sweet for Galliano and Blue Curacao so if that is your go to flavour then I do not think there would be any problem, but for me, it is not mine.
It is located next to Frankston Beach (?) So if you choose table outside, you would have a great view. The drawbacks of the location are there are birds flying in restaurant and it is cold in the winter.
The waiters and waitresses are friendly. But it is difficult to get their attention for your orders.
Price range around $20-$30 for small pizza or pasta (fit for 1 or for 2 if you do not eat much). Good for groups and couples or even yourself. Would visit again if I travel to Frankston but would not visit just for the food.
Reading the reviews to this place, I was very skeptical about visiting. However, it seems they have been either subject to grave exaggeration or unrealistically high expectations.
I ordered a Small "The Lot" pizza, and was very satisfied with it – served straight from the oven, with layers of well flavoured toppings. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean and well lit. The beach surroundings were a bonus.
Service is good, portions above average.but what let's this place down is the Pizza.everything about their pizza speaks of poor quality ingredients, fake ham (it's very red in colour) and the base is missing something and doesn't taste quite right. Hopefully they fix it and make it a great restaurant
Friendly service and reasonably priced food. Stopped over here to enjoy a couple of pizzas with the family last week. Nothing special, but tasty & filling.
Food is always great, with massive portion sizes however the service can sometimes be a little lacking. For example: this last visit the waitress dumped the plates on our table with no cutlery or napkins and just walked away so we had to go get them ourselves. Highly unusual for this venue: (
Otherwise amazing. Recommend the ribs and oysters
On Sat 1 June, we brought our overseas friends here because of referral. The restaurant seems cosy with low lightings but the tables and chairs are so close. Anyone wanting to move across might give the neighbours a knock. Waiter was quick to ask order (not bad for a hungry bunch of us).
Of the food we ordered, the Bolognaise taste blend and Atlantic Salmon is so so. Others like Chicken & Mushroom Risotto, Pollo Parmigiana and Carbonara are alright as per my guest.
Tea and Hot Chocolate lovely and hot, the rest of our order never received. They were not to fussed that we had forgotten.
A ridiculous $9 for cake. We were eating it as a couple for three days straight to finish it. What a waste of resources! When a takeaway piece of cake weighs over a pound, something is not quite right about this.
Lovely location parking is rediculously overpriced. The venue although popular could do with an upgrade. Chips were awesome but sadly the seafood pizza was a disappointment bases very average and way to mucho tomato paste overpower all other flavours coffee very average. The venue could do with a few of those seagul dogs but you can eat inside which is a good option if you don't like birds hoping around the vacted tables. In saying that other dishes being served looked appetising and the staff were lovely.
Family restaurant, reasonable pricing and good service. Excluding one server who gave some dirty looks I assume because my 1yro niece making a mess on the table with her food, despite the fact we cleaned up after her.
The restaurant is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed a lot. Food is yummy. Staffs are very friendly and their hospitality is beyond the expectations. Well done guys. Keep it up.
Great service, food and dessert! Large portions with some orders. Great surroundings, by the beach, but not visible from some parts of the restaurant.
Dinner menu is good, service very quick. Would be better if there was more room between tables and the birds were outside
Really good pizza and pasta. Drinks were reasonably priced and ambience was cozy.
Was surprised to see a busy restaurant serving food with such pace and friendly staff
We had an amazing amazing time, i must say what an Exceptional service! Went above and beyond
incredible venue, superb food, highly recommended and I can't wait to go back again.
An ok meal but nothing spectacular, noise is an issue.
Service and staff can be very hit and miss.
The prawns were too spicy more than Sichuan chili, rice was undercooked. For the barramundi was no taste and any fish and chip shop is better than it, wrong combination, oyster wasn’t fresh. Only good is location being next to seaside. But don’t waste your money.
Great location right on the beach at Frankston. It's your standard Italian meals and food portions are huge. They do provide doggy bags which is good. Coffee needs attention as it's not great at all. No excuse for poor coffee these days.
