Great food, very friendly staff, very clean, convenient location, reasonable prices. Enjoyed the meal and there is always plenty of it.

A highly recommend for Sofia’s Croydon. Table service is excellent and you are always treated with a friendly smile and warm welcome. Great menu offerings including pizza pasta and more specialised delacies. The deserts exquisite and sinful. I highly recommended this place.

Outstanding food, quality, taste, ambience and service. Hat's off to Michael and Mary for their passionate dedication towards running this place for nearly two decades. Tried all Sofia outlets, but would highly recommend this branch.

Food was good. Service very average. We booked but they had no record. They offered no water. It took them 30 mins to clear the plates. We had to prompt three times as to finally get our gelati after about 30mins as well.

To the Rude customer service lady who tells the "F word" to customers on the phone for a take away order.
We rang yesterday for a take away order, please don't answer the phone if you have no intentions of giving food to customers. Next time do us a favor by not answering the phone, you might just make our evening that way!

Terrible quality and tasting food. I ordered on Uber eats but it was advertised as the Quiet Vegan. I would have NEVER ordered food from there if I had known it was Sofia’s. It is cheap nasty overpriced food. I am extremely disappointed and feel like I have just thrown my money in the bin!

I ordered the large Pollo Funghi (no chicken) with garlic bread.

The pasta was a poor excuse for pasta, the fettuccine pasta itself was more like asain style noodles and the sauce was in no way anything remotely close to a sauce you’d put on pasta.

It was terrible and extremely disappointing especially because I paid $20+ for the pasta, $3.99 for delivery and gave them a $3 tip.

The bread was mediocre.

Would not recommend.

Over cooked steak and dated decor only reason 2 stars is because of friendly staff and prices are reasonable otherwise 1 star for quality

Awesome place. We're always welcomed there, as a family or as a group of people. Food and service always fantastic. Happy to go there again and again.

Pizzas undercooked and too many toppings, chips we're very greasy and tasted of old oil. Wouldn't eat here again

Can't believe the positive comments about Mary.
I've been so uncomfortable as she abuses and berates her staff constantly in front of customers. The poor staff were doing a fine job.
I asked her to stop and she proceeded to give me a character assassination of the staff member in question.
Mary is the very reason we will never return.
Won't support a business who actively engages in workplace bullying and harassment.

I have been a regular customer here for over 15years. I went with my partner and mother. The treatment we got from the Manager on Friday 27 Dec, unsure name guessing Mary? Was rude and totally embarrassing. My partner and mum received their meals however I was kept waiting for 40min for a pizza due to a staff member changing the settings. As soon as I asked for percentage off or that I was not going to pay it she cracks it. Won't be returning.

I went in for dinner with family food ok but the way that manager spoke to the pizza maker after hearing the guy say he'd been there his second day, and then watched him leave the manager spoke to him like he was rubbish, I won't be coming back treating an employee like that was so wrong

I’ve dined in twice and it’s been fantastic both times. The staff were very welcoming and friendly on our first visit for dinner. On our second visit for lunch we had Mary look after us, she is such an amazing asset to your company. She goes above and beyond for all customers. The food was of a large portion and was very tasty.

A very bizarre experience: we booked last minute for a Saturday 5pm dining for 4 adults and 4 children. The restaurant was empty when we got there and we wished to sit closest to the play area to keep an eye on the children. I went to the bar to talk to an older, blond lady and just confirm that we would move one table up. I was patiently waiting with a smile on my face to ask if it was ok to move to a desk that is closer to the play area. The lady was grumpy, unfriendly, didn't want to engage, ignored my smile and with a blank face and horrid tone said that the other table was booked. There was no reserved sign on it and clearly it was a lie as nobody came there until 7.30pm and the people coming were also 4 kids and 4 adults so they could have got our table easily.
We have toddler twins so asked for one kids meal to be shared between. (after the waitress confirmed that they are big portions) They forgot to give a share plate and when I asked for an extra bowl, we were told that they can only give flat plates as the bowls are not given for sharing. The restaurant was still basically empty: only one table was occupied other than us. I explained that from a flat plate the food will go everywhere but the lady said they have bowls but would not give it. Until the originally rude older woman got there and this time generously allowed us to have a bowl to eat from. Absolutely disgusting and shocking that you have to fight for a bloody plate in a restaurant.mind due the place never got to a fully booked status, occupancy was around 50% at the peak during our stay.
We ordered drinks but also wanted to have some tap water - 30 minutes after following that up twice we ended up getting it. (Apparently tables, bowls and water they are super precious about and you only get it if you fight for it hard)
They also asked if we wanted everything to come out together (yes please), yet all food came out totally randomly, nothing was coordinated.
The food was average but generous portions.
Customer service - zero stars. They never checked on us or asked if we wanted to eat anything else.
Change table is in the disabled toilet so I went there with my kids- I am a fit woman in a good shape, yet with all my power I could not close the door of the disabled toilet which is a disgrace as people who need to use this facility could definitely not have any privacy.
Well, good places were all fully booked so the upside is that most likely you can always come here last minute and we didn't get sick from the food. But I don't think many people come back here - however my friend said "we can, we just need to really lower our expectations".

Good food, however was about 30mins to get 2x large pizzas. Restaurant only had around 5 tables at the time too. Couldnt have kids making noise in the play area either.

Overall it was okay, but would suggest not an idea for kids under 12 years. We did get a free gelato cake for having over 10 ppl which was a great way to finish the dinner.

Mary is an icon at Sofia Croydon, she's always so friendly and welcoming and it's because of her that this place has become a favourite. Thanks Mary, and our little group will see you again soon.

Slow, not enough staff, forgetful, waited 40mins for entrees then another 40-50mins for main course not a place to eat in but if your using menu log or uber eats you get your food delivered in 30mins.

I seldom write a review but I must voice out the bad service.

I order *Pescatore* from them but it come out nothing was there only noodle and sauce inside the lunch box. (are you guys serious?).

They said I need to mention seafood pescatore then just can can have all the seafood etc inside. (kindly check the photo of menu)

How come you guys write the menu and want us to mention it?

And they refuse to refund or exchange food.

How bad of the service is?

Will never go back this restaurant again.
