Great food, great service. We were really looked after at Sofia's. I would recommend you trying it out. Above average, food was prepared nicely and very tasty.

Thank you for always giving the best Customer Service Mary, I really enjoy seeing you when we come to the restaurant you always make me laugh. My boys love eating at Sophia's the meals are huge they never come home hungry.

Was looking forward to going out and having a nice dinner, upon arrival the lady who served us was rude and she pointed us to our table and didn’t even direct us there. After we sat down for a few seconds we were asked what we wanted to drink with no time to look at the menu. Giving it a final chance we tasted the meals, which (suprisingly) tasted flavourless, provided with no pepper or salt at the tables to enhance the meals taste. Won’t be coming back here again.p. S Only some wait staff can take orders but others can’t? The system doesn’t work and it made for a poor experience. (not the fault of the staff i imagine)

We have been customers of this restaurant for over 20 years. We always sit down to excellent food and generous portions.
The best part however, is the sparkling service provided by Mary, the lady who runs the Front of House. Well Done. We can only give a five star rating, as there is no provision to give more!

Wait time was ridiculously long and no apology or anything. Also didn't have all ingredients but didn't tell us until after they made the order. Not beforehand. Very poor service

Fantastic food, great staff and even better value! The owner is a gem too such a lovely and hard working lady. Can't wait to go back.

Sofia's is a fabulous contributor to The Royal Children's Hospital Auxiliaries by allowing Teplestowe Auxiliary to have their Monthly meetings there for free. Mary makes everyone feel most welcome and the meals are delicious and reasonable prices.

We eat here regularly, lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff, management are amazing, food has alway been excellent with very generous size portions and the best pizzas in Melbourne. I can only give 5 stars but they deserve 10

Fabulous place to dine with a wonderful menu and old fashioned super table service. ' Simply The Best ' highly recommend.

The great service and food really made our night.
We forgot to book during peak time but the manager was extremely accommodating for me and my daughter. All the waitresses were so lovely and attentive. We ordered the Archini balls, steak and the ravioli which were all delicious, generous portions and cooked to perfection. Happy days

Far out. I thought service this bad was just a comedy sketch! Took my family here for my son's 2 y/o birthday.
1 - 40 minutes (!) Between first order main being delivered and 4th main. Try that with 2 kids. The baby had finished his meal before mine came out and he eats slower than a sloth riding a snail!
2 - we asked for water 4, that's four, as in worse than a bronze medal times. 3 different people. Our 9 year old left with his mouth open to catch rain drops. Not a joke. (we never ended up getting said water).
3 - all good though, because our other drinks arrived! Oh wait. Except the lemon lime bitters missing. Lemons or lime (how is that even possible?) And then I ordered a corona (the taps were broken so couldn't get anything other than bottled beer). I saw one lady look perplexed as to how to open a bottle, ask for help, then I actually saw 4 staff walk past my now opened beverage and totally ignore it.
4 - not as bad as the other points, just the spaghetti Bolognese tasted like it had curry powder and made us two adults dry wretch. We didn't actually mind this because the kid thought it was ok. So. Go figure.
5 - I was going to complain about the ambiance of every other table complaining about where their food was, but I feel it added to the general jovial atmosphere, so I'll add that as a plus.
6 - I mean, it was a super busy night. There were 6 wait staff and a whole 4 tables of people (one table had a whole 14 people, so I guess that counts as 2?). But I guess the uber et Al orders coming in kept everyone busy. Right?
7 - we got charged for the 2 drinks we ordered and never graced our presence, so that was awesome.

This is possibly the first negative review I've left in my life. I'm pretty much an understanding dude, but this was just so I unbelievably terrible I needed to share my thoughts.
Covid hit a lot of businesses hard, pity the cream didn't rise to the top and this abomination is still in business.
Let's boycott and get something more family oriented in. Please?

Always greeted by the lovely lady owner, makes sure all food is top quality and your well fed and you are well looked after, great to support a local business as well.

Food excellent but service could be improved. For example, took a long time to get some water (we had basically finished our meal) and surprised no parmesen cheese offered for pasta disishes.

Appalling service, worst parmas served to our table ever, took 1.5 for food on a booking & then completely forgot a meal.

Good selection of pasta and italian food. Went there for Mothers day and the service was quite reasonable for such a busy day. The food was very nice and the pasta serves in particular were substantial.

4 of the 5 meals were inedible, waited over an hour for 4 meals and an extra 15 minutes for the last one, which we had to go looking for. Drinks jug bought out with no glasses. Tequila sunrise was the only good thing about it.

This was the first time I visit this branch and definitely it was the last time! Although the food was good, one of the staff there was unbelievably rude and mean to all of us! The adults and kids! I never experienced such bad welcome and service. The other staff were nice but the lady's service skills ruined it all!

It's ok.
Decent proportion of food but by no mean anything special. The wait for the food was a bit long but we didn't really mind considering that the kids could play at the playground.
The décor was dated and could be updated.

Great service! Good gluten free pizza and pasta options, and can highly recommend the "pollo Camembert" my partner thoroughly enjoyed it. The young girls who served us were lovely and gave excellent customer service.
