Sofia Croydon reviews
85Food as always was very good. Have tried Sofia, Camberwell which has excellent food and service. Our experience at Sofia, Croydon was not a happy one. We were made to feel very unwelcome and it was as if they wanted us to leave as soon as possible. Not exactly what you would expect at a restaurant.
It really needs renovation. It's not cozy. The kids play area is just a space with practically morning to play with but a small slide.
The place in general feels kind of cold. Also most of the are old.
The staff is really nice and helpfulsolicitous.
They don't shine for their desserts either.
It's Italianishhh food. Not really Italian, but it's fairly good.
We come often. It could definitely be better.
I love that they are open until late and have a wide variety in their menu.
Friendly staff, nice food, family friendly
HOWEVER
the manager turned up at our table like a ghost and said darling you should have let us know before changing the table, and my wife said we did. And she suddenly disappeared without saying a word. So rude …. Poor staff being yelled at all the time, she is a karen
Chilli prawns were great salad had a but to much dressing, and one one of the cherry tomatoes was not pleasant to eat had that off taste to it, and the chips had too much salt. It was harder to get staff attention as it was getting close to closing time, but still an enjoyable experience. Thank you.
We love this place. Food is consistently good. Portions are huge and we usually end up needing take-away containers so as not to waste it. Lot's of variety and caters to different dietary needs quite well. Service is good and good value for money.
Been coming here for years. Never had a bad meal here. And the pricing is reasonable and the food plentiful.
The old lady works hear is RACIST AS. As worse as anyone can be. Rude service. Come here if you wanna wreck your mood.
Food (I had a pizza) was prompt, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their food.
Had the best Veal Parmigiana ever real veal with nice pinky white meat to die for, the best ever.
The matur lady who runs the business is quite rude.
When we asked one of the girls to take our oder, she yelled at me from the kitchen and said "sit down and be patient"
If my kids weren't hungry, I would just leave.
We have been to many restraunts, but we find Sophia's Croydon suits us better than most. It has good food, cheap prices, friendly staff and booking is not necessary.
I used to go Sofia on Burwood Highway. It is our first time at their branch in Croydon. We ordered Sofia gourmet pizza and chicken parma. Sofia has never disappointed in their portion. They are always generous in their serving. Food is good with its value.
I had a fantastic pizza, tasted amazing, highly recommended, will be going back, friendly staff, a great experience,

What a pleasant experience it was. First of all the food was first class and the service from the waiters was magical. Maria who I think is the store owner was very friendly and took really good care of us and stayed back a bit later after closing hours to make us feel more satisfied with the experience. Totally recommend this place for any kind of occasions.
Picked up a takeaway dinner and was surprised no one behind the counter serving customers were wearing masks. It's an ok place to grab a meal but that's about it.
To be honest, Sofia will be gone one day just like La pochetta. The whole restaurant concept is out of date. The food is very salty and taste average. The last visited was 10 years ago. Will not come back anymore in future unless no choice in this area.
If you think this is another branch of the Sofia in Camberwell, you totally wrong! Surprisingly the menu was similar in many aspects with lower quality. The front desk lady's behavior not good even with her own's staff. Never come back again for sure!
Bought a meal from this restaurant.meal wasn’t delightful and now found out this place Sofia croydon is covid exposure site as well… never going back
Would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself italian restaurant. The vibe and food feels ridiculously whitewashed. Be careful folks now restaurant is on exposure sites very concerning
