Smithward reviews
50What sets this quaint neighbourhood wine bar apart is the exceptional quality of literally everything they serve up and pour. Every single visit over the last few years, I have been astounded by the consistent calibre of local wine they manage to procure and delight with. Smithward is a showcase of intimate excellence and an obvious passion project from the long time local proprietor. Well worth a visit. It will likely become your go-to.
A cosy bar with tasty food and knowledgeable staff. All the wine is made in Victoria so it’s a great way to support local.
Staff were so lovely and knowledgeable. We had one minor issue and they went above and beyond to rectify it.
The wine was incredible, the selection list was broad.
The food was delicious, loved the cheese board, such great choice in cheese!
Absolutely delicious, rac and mac Thursday is a must! The wine list is also fantastic, we had the Swooping Magpie served chilled and it was divine!
Graham and his team were wonderful from first contact via email to confirm my booking, to walking out the door. The food, wine and service was wonderful. I highly recommend this place, graham and his staff. ️
I only stopped in for one glass while killing time. But the bartender was very helpful, offered some almonds/olives. It was the perfect spot to kill some time in the afternoon sun.
A lovely quiet wine bar with a high quality selection of local and international wines. They also have a lovely food menu, my favourite is the raclette.
Very small place, relaxed vibes, absolutely amazing cheese boards! Nice and cosy for a winters night
Excellent! The Wednesday special of beef with vegetables, particularly sweet onion, with the house-made puff pastry lid was excellent. Bellarine shiraz matched it well.
Thanks Graham.
