A cosy space with tasty morsels and great service to complement the wine. The handmade mushroom tortellini are divine. Worth requesting extra bread to mop up the broth.

Lovely and quaint wine bar with amazing selection of Victorian wines. It's small (~7 seats total) so reservations recommended, and almost necessary on weekend nights. All food was spectacular, especially the sourdough bread and raclette!

So happy to have found this beautiful little place. Everything in there is of the absolute highest quality. We tried three different wines - all delightful - and the food was amazing. All delivered with first class service. Can't wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu.

What a hidden charmer this little wine, cheese and chat bar is. The staff are super-courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, the wine is superb and varied, and the snacks are cleverly paired. Inexpensive and delicious, do yourselves a favour...

I love Smithward. I have been here several times before the pandemic and lockdowns; last night was my first opportunity since Melbourne re-opened, and I was so happy to find that nothing has changed! It's the same delightful tiny cosy space, perfect service from Graham (so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable), delicious locally-produced food and wine. I'm really glad that Smithward has made it through the last two years. This is the sort of place that makes visitors to Melbourne fall in love with the city.

This place over exceeded our expectations, the food was amazing, the prosecco was great.and the service was so personal, we cannot wait to go back to try some of the other menu items.

Smithward is a cosy little gem in Collingwood.

The food, predominantly share plates, is outstanding and the curated wine and beverage list superb.

Don’t get me started on the raclette cheese dishes……

Graham is a superstar host, sommelier and chef.

Smithward is one of our favourite social/dining experiences in Melbourne.

If I could I would give Graham and Smithward more than five stars.

We love this intimate wine bar. Our food was so delicious and paired with a couple of sensational Victorian wines. The lobster croquettes were a highlight as was the friendly and unobtrusive service. Can’t wait to return!

Maybe my favourite small bar in Melbourne. Delicious wines, perfect wine snacks of various sizes that are seasonal and so considered. Graham is an impeccable host. Love it here.

Smithward is that cozy wine local wine bar I can't wait to get back to from the moment I've left. The seasonal menu is full of simply beautiful fare and the boutique Victorian wine selection always delivers new and exceptional wines. A must visit!

This is a little bar and eatery where the owner works behind the bar and every drop of wine is thoughtfully selected and all produce is Victorian.
