My experience was great. I called and enquired about one of their products. (Granite cobblestone for a fireplace hearth).
I live 3hrs away so they were helpful enough to answer my questions over the phone and send a picture. The lady was very responsive to my emails and calls and great to communicate with.
I organised a family member to pickup on my behalf.
I ordered mesh backed stone, and they gave me extra to cover a couple that were broken.
Would definitely use again.

Quality products with a huge range and the best prices we could find. They had everything we needed in stock and gave some great advice on the pool coping we were after. Even organised an installer for us at the last moment when our tiler couldn’t do the job. Great service.

So happy to be able to order stone samples, we live in rural Victoria and whilst renovating find it difficult to get to Melbourne to see displays. Phone conversations and emails were always promptly answered and acted on. Delivery went without a hitch. Stone pavers are undercover waiting to be laid by a professional. So looking forward to seeing the finished effect on our expansive patio and steps.

I've bought pavers from Stone & Slate Discounts for several projects now, and the quality is always excellent, orders are timely and the bespoke cuts I often ask for are always done very well.

Awful customer service. Would rather give me business to someone else who actually wants to help and sell products.

We ordered the Himalayan Sandstone pavers as well as the crazy paving. We have only had the pavers installed so far and are about to start installing the crazy paving now. The pavers look gorgeous. The colours are just beautiful and are the colours that we have used inside our home so continue the tones out onto the terrace.

Excellent customer service! Posted some samples and no charge and when it came to ordering, all the staff I dealt with were extremely helpful through the whole ordering and collection process. Highly recommended

Was great dealing with them couldn't have been more helpful the tile were great the sale staff were more than happy to help and even the delivery driver was more than friendly was a very easy process highly recommended

Purchased their product off a friend as they decided on something else. We needed more product so went to them and purchased exactly the same product and paid $500 freight to bring it up from Melbourne so it would all match.
Received the product and everything was in order.
The paver started laying and the French pave Travertine (12mm) just started breaking away in his hands. Very cheap product, and definitely a bad batch as the other first lot are fine.

Called and spoke to the manager (Steve) and we agreed I would call at the end of the job with how many square metres we lost. (He originally offered me 10 square metres free but I pay for freight again or 5 square metres refund. I was concerned we were already at 5-6 square metres lost and we were not even a 1/3 of the way through the job!) red flag….

A few weeks later I did this and he agreed to refund 10 square metres (it was more like 12-13 lost but I was happy with the compromise) as we had to fill the job with the older (better) product as freight would have been $500 to us (again) as he was not willing to cover it. We decided to hold off on the bottom level…

Few weeks later I still had not heard anything so I called the office and apparently they had emailed me with a bank details request. I never received it. They ‘re-forwarded it’ even though it was a new email… and guess what? The manager Steve has now decided he’s only reimbursing 5 square metres… didn’t call me… didn’t honour our discussion and agreed amount of 10 square metres… admitted he had said he would but would not honour it. Now he is saying that after consulting his notes, he was only willing to do 5 square metres. Very dishonest.

Then when he refunds he does it as $10 less a square metre then I paid!

All in all a very dishonest person to work with. Pretends he’s all above board and here for the customer but when it comes down to it… really not. After reading other bad reviews I’m just lucky I got anything back at all as he will obviously do the dodgy.

Definitely not the best stone or service but if you want cheaper then take the risk I guess.

Ps. Three more pavers have cracked since being laid and they don’t have heavy foot traffic… don’t recommend this product. The sad thing is we now have 25 odd square metres of decent stuff but I’m too scared to match it with their product again to finish the job.

REPLY TO THE COMPANIES RESPONSE:

Absolute lies. As I said very dishonest. The stone we purchased was all from them in Doveton and I they have both purchase receipts on file as we need to find the exact stone to match and have emails to prove. As explained, the first batch was great. Second batch was obviously faulty.

It was the promise over the phone multiple times, then deciding to offer half what he agreed to and then not even calling to say he was in fact NOT refunding the agreed amount but pretending he had sent an email and now saying in his reply that they had said 5 square metres all along.

Also noticed they have not acknowledged that they refunded the incorrect amount at $10 less per square metre than I paid. All in all would not trust them.

I ordered tile and paid thousands of dollars in advance as i was assured of a quick delivery.when no delivery was forthcoming and after many follow ups over many days and multiple excuses, i was told that they didn't actually have most of the tile and it had to be ordered and would receive in a few months.
These extensive delays meant we lost the contractor that was to do the installation which dramatically set our project back and at great cost. I asked for my money back and received an email saying that it would be done within a month. I complained and when i asked for the name of the manager, i was told that they didn't give out names but i could speak to Steven. No apologies and got the run around for almost 2 weeks, numerous excuses as to why they couldn't refund, dozens of promises for return phone calls. Finally got in contact with the Police fraud department and consumer affairs for advise and assistance and only after threatening Stone and Slate discounts did i get a refund. Have never been treated with such disrespect and cant imagine how these people have stayed in business.
Absolutely disgusting, abusive and unethical company to deal with.

The tiles are great quality, just be prepared for abysmal customer service. I just called to ask for specific products. (e.g. Sealers, grout, etc) to use and the lady I spoke to sounded like I was the last person she wanted to talk to on earth. Rude and obnoxious and I would definitely not order from them again.

This is the second project I’ve done using stone and slate and was very pleased again. The service is fantastic and the product is beautiful they give you a few extras in case you break some will use them again for sure.

We are very happy with the pool coping tiles we purchased, they look exactly like the photos online.we received great customer service and the delivery driver made sure that he was in contact prior to delivering. Overall we are happy with our purchase.

Drove 40mins to get a piece of slate after giving them a call and arriving in time.
Owner / manager refused to allow me to choose a piece because he couldn't be bothered to unpack a crate or help.
