Came here on a referral from a friend who lives in the area but she warned me that it's not a small quiet place which is what I like but said the food was good.
I ordered the eggs benedict on roti - OMG delicous. The iced latte strong and tasty. The juice my friend ordered was excellent.
They roast their own coffee on site and you can watch the dude at work. Seating is at a variety of high tables, high benches, little booths, tables and more - stretches right out to the back. It's very crowded at 11am. Very much a hispter place but there was the odd couple of us over 50.
Certainly worth a try.
$68 for 4 of us. Not bad.
Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. High chairs available. Parking not too bad out front but there is a time limit.
Toilets are unisex eg neither mens or womens and very clean.

We loved the food at coffee at this place but please make sure you have decaf! I have a medical condition and cannot drink caffeine in any form. I know in Melbourne no one thinks decaf is important or real coffee, but it’s important for people like me.

A great brunch spot in the middle of Fitzroy. This venue has a semi-private area with glass walls. Perfect for groups of about 10 people.
Coffee is awesome and food is delicious.

Fast service, coffee came within a minute of ordering and was delicious. Toast was a little soggy but portions are large and eggs were beautifully cooked.

A great aesthetic place! The coffee here tasted good! We ordered the eggs Benedict and it was creative to have it on a roti bread with some spice, definitely better than the usual eggs Benedict which comes on a sourdough bread. Would recommend!

My partner brought me here for breakfast, as he always raves on about the Sir Charles Benedict. Unfortunately, I can not say the same about my breakfast. I specifically asked for no eggs on my avo toast and made sure their would be no mushrooms in its place. The server guaranteed me that it would only come with the cauliflower. Once the dish came to the table there was mushroom and no cauliflower in the dish. When I brought this to the servers attention it was at that time he informed me that the chef had decided to stop making the dish with cauliflower and that the menu had never been updated. I should have been made aware of this prior to the chef deciding to cook up my breakfast however he pleased. I was very disappointed in the service received on the 19th of Jan. Please update your menu for future guests.

Some of the worst service I’ve ever had. The cafe was only half full and we waited almost an hour for drinks which came way after the food. The staff must have forgotten about us because no one checked on us, topped up our water, or came to us when we signaled we were ready to order. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great coffee and eggs. I enjoyed my breakfast but found the meal a little bland. Will be back to try the other options. Very friendly staff too.

The staff is highly professional. My order was only for a cupaccino, but.not for 5 stars.
Something.too much foam or too much water? I shouldn't judge it only for 1 trial but, I think too much foam.

Glad they were open on this Saturday long weekend however the food wasn’t the greatest and I thought the juice would’ve been freshly squeezed here. Staff were friendly and service was fast enough. Good environment and open.

Ordered toasted with mushrooms and poach eggs, disappointed as my bread one was not toasted, got 10%surcharge for public holiday I would expect the food is more than good, Service was good by the way!

Starting from the ambience and interiors everything was schmick, very spacious with heaps of natural light and interior plants.

Coming to food - it was just mind blowing including the smoothies.
We ordered -
1. Golden smoothie with mango & passion fruit and strawberry crush - both of which were just amazingly good.
2. Prawn toast with fried egg - which had the asian twist to it.
3. The smash - avocado smash with eggs which had plentiful of smashed avocado
4. Wild party - roasted mushrooms, poached eggs and sourdough bread

This was one of the best tasting brunch we have and we cannot wait to go back already!

Introduced as the first cafe and spot to try on my arrival into Melbourne, this place does not disappoint!
The food is absolutely delicious, the eggs Benedict with the roti - out of this world! The other items on the menu (The Fusion!) simply divine. This is a must stop spot to add to your list of good eats and great coffee!
The staff are super friendly, the space is actually also a beautiful and modern delight. Spacious and very inviting.
Do not miss out making a trip to Sir Charles, you'll not be disappointed!

Sir Charles Benedict is highly recommended. Right size, eggs are delicately delicious. Wagyu Beef Burgers are also highly recommended.

The staff here are so lovely. Very warm and welcoming.
The food looks like the pictures on Instagram. And it tastes even better.
Really big space.
Free wifi.
People working here on laptops during the week/ having meetings.
Love the light, open space. Will be back again
