Singh's Indian Take Away Food reviews
56Great food as always. No system in place to make sure customers were adhering to social distancing guidelines. Happy to change my rating if they do something about the amount of people they let inside at one time during the current state of emergency.
Delicious! My family loves the butter chicken and the kashmiri naan! Thanks. See you again very soon!:)
Great authentic Indian curry. They were happy to change items to vegan and it was great value for money - be back again soon.
The family has been getting food from Singh’s for decades. They’re fantastic. Lovely people, great food.
I have been buying take-aways from here for almost 20yrs. Food is consistently good both in value and quality. Service is fast, staff friendly. Keep it up Hajid
I have had samosa, pakora and vegetable pulav. None of them tasted really good! Very disappointing!
Honestly they make great food, for such a low price. Never been disappointed when ordering food from here, everything is always delicious and timely.
I've tried a few times and struggling to find something I like. Their menu is extensive but I feel like most of it tastes the same. Not sure they put sugar in the curries as we are finding them sweet. Rice is complimentary which was really generous and their naan's are great value compared to other Indian restaurants.
Always had the urge to try this place out - wish I hadn't! Unfortunately my experience was mediocrity, like most Indian restaurants nowadays. The chicken biryani was average and the dhal I ordered was flavourless and bland. Disappointed.
I initially gave 1 star but upon the owner commenting I returned to try the food again and found this time around the food was much better. As I like to be fair I've changed my initial 1 star to.
Worst butter chicken curry I’ve ever eaten. Are they having a laugh? It tasted like Heinz tomato soup curry with chicken.
The Rogan josh with lamb tasted like the sauce from a four n twenty meat pie. If you love those pies then you won’t be disappointed. But for an Indian curry I really think you need to lift your game or close your restaurant.
In comparison with some years ago, we were most disappointed with these curries. My son's Saag Paneer, although mild, was the most disappointing. This tasted like wet, defrosted spinach, with no reminiscence of 'curry' whatsoever. Mine and my wife's vegetarian curries were only marginally better. It will be a long time before I go to Singh's again, in spite of them being at the end of my street!
Roti was horrible, it did not look like a roti at all, instead a fat phulka. Alu paratha was tasteless and was burnt in a few places, it was thinner than the roti. Dal makhani was very average. (This was the second time we ordered it through deliveroo because the first time the food was fairly good, but the second time we were thoroughly dissatisfied.)
First tried Singhs 5 years ago, famous for the generous sized naan and complimentary perfect rice.recently moved closer, and have been able to sample the broader menu.prompt, classic service with a tasty range.talk to staff about what flavours/ ingredients you like and you wont be disappointed.
Second star just because it was open when I was looking for a Indian restaurant. Please do not order over the phone and go pick up. You will literally pay a lot more than if you just go there and order after looking at the menu. Coming to the food, I wouldn't even say it is average. Not sure how it has managed to get so many positive review.may be it was just a bad day but, it was my first impression.
The vegetarian curry tasted like a jar of pasta sauce or tomato sauce. I couldn’t eat it. Their nan was great. Maybe their meat curries are better, but this was the worst I’ve had in Melbourne
